I've heard rumors that the NFL has agreed to have people going to the games patted down or pass through body scanners prior to entering the stadium, ala TSA at airports. Can anyone who's been to the Ralph this season confirm that? If it's true, the Homeland Security stuff is getting way out of hand. Personally, I'd like to see Janet Napolitano tarred and feathered. I can't stand that woman.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWkAMJ-eMB4&feature=feedrec watching this highlight you can see that Joe Ferguson had a cannon for an arm.

I know it's early, but watching training camp highlights, AW is breaking up passes with regularity and had a couple of picks. I'm thinking he could be a starter on opening day.

It seems the only ones making a controversy about it are the media. The guy said he doesn't think people should celebrate a killing. I respect that. -

Great find GBID! I loved the '65 Bills. That was the year I became a lifelong fan. -
51 years without picking a QB first

Your assertion might have some credibility if it could be shown that every team that's ever won the AFL Championship since 1961, and the Super Bowl since 1970, did so with a first round QB draft pick at the helm during their respective championship season,...not so! Cases in point; Patriots w/ Brady(6th round), Green Bay w/ Bart Starr(17th round)and w/ Brett Favre(trade), Rams w/ Kurt Warner(undrafted), Skins w/ Theisman(via CFL), Doug Williams, Mark Rypien(6th), Giants w/ Hostetler(3rd round), Saints w/ Brees, acquired from Chargers, Cowboys w/ Roger Staubach(10th round),Raiders w/ Kenny Stabler(2nd round) and Jim Plunket(via Patriots). -

You include the statement,"...against their more athletic black counterparts", apparently conceding that blacks are more athletic, but you skirt around the idea of white QB's being more intelligent, yet won't say it. Sounds like you've been indoctrinated in the social science of political correctness. It's probably a safe assumption that the majority of these "athletes" couldn't pass an entrance exam to go to college, if the respective college didn't have athletics. You'd have to look at the individual SAT minimum score requirements, GPA data, major studied, and graduation rates. Suffice to say, Ryan Fitzpatrick is more intelligent than Cam Newton.

I'd like to see Fitz become a serious gym rat with the weights. I think it would do wonders for his game.

ATDHE.net and channelsurfing.net seized by government

ICE and Homeland Security? What the hell do these sites have to do with international terrorists? This country is becoming a nickel and dime police state, only interested in safeguarding the interests of corporate entities and caring not at all for the plight of the middle class. They'd love dearly to wrest control of the internet, or monitor it without warrant. Free speech is under attack by corporate interests and their big media lackeys, all supported by uncle big brother. -
Some of my friends and I knew Shorty Lalonde. He used to drive the Zamboni at Bison games. He did equipment and skate sharpening too. I remember on Mondays after school, they'd open up the Aud for kids to go and skate during hockey season. It was a glorious time. I also remember Spikes swallowing his tongue and convulsing. I think it was while playing the Jets at Shea. The thing I remember most about Ernie was his huge hands. If you haven't seen it already, you might enjoy this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HeQYK59rMmY&feature=related

You can see Lamonica, Gogolak, Kemp, and Cookie in that second pic. It warms my heart to hear some of the reactions from all you "old timers". Kinda makes me feel like our suffering hasn't been in vain these past years. Bob, let's not argue about it. Jim Kelley was a good writer. In that era, the BEN hockey writer was Dick Johnston. I liked Charlie Barton. Reading his column the day after an ice Bisons game made me feel like I was there. Any of you guys remember a show called "The Quarterback Club", hosted by Ernie Warlick late Sunday mornings on Channel 2?

I loved the Courier Express! Writers like Phil Ranallo and Paul Jayes, and I think Charlie Barton was the best hockey writer ever in the city of Buffalo.

How to Beat Brady in 3 Steps
jack_spikes replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Brady will be retired before the Bills are able to do any of those. -
Ravens and Steelers would alot better if Dierdorf would just STFU!

...and yet those Bills teams were very successful against NFC East opponents during the regular season.

Fond memories of the "message" Arthur Moats laid on Mr. Favre. -
Why just look at the division? As of this past Sunday, the Bills are ranked 32nd(dead last)against the run. They're giving up an average 162.5 yds per game, nearly 100 yds. per game more than the leader in that category, Pittsburgh. Face it, the linebackers absolutely suck, especially Poz!

No way this team gets better anytime soon

How about Pat Williams, Antoine Winfield, and Jonas Jennings? Are you kidding? The Pats rolled us both games the year Brady was out with a knee injury and they did it with Matt Cassel playing under center. Lame comeback The Pats don't let high priced free agents leave, they trade them! How else do you think they've got two 1st, two 2nd, two 3rd, and two 4th round picks in next April's draft? -
Bottom Line: This team and its followers need to be rescued from the foolish clutches of Ralph Wilson!
