  1. Right after the game, Phil Simms commented on how horrible the Pat's defense was. Did he even watch the game? I thought they played better than Oakland or KC against us, and definitely are not to blame. How about credit the fact that the Bills D made some very acrobatic INTs? Or if you want to place blame: Brady for throwing 4 INTs. Ochocino dropping a sure TD. Belicheat blowing up on sideline to lose a timeout. God forbid they blame them.
  2. I'm pulling for all the big guys on D. I liked the play of Heard, Dotson and Jasper. Heard was explosive. Dotson was solid. Jasper had nice push every time he engaged a blocker. He had the pressure that lead to the William's pick. I hope they all make the roster. My cut list would be: Wang, Easley (deserves another chance), and either Kelsay or Maybin (but of course they aren't cutting Kelsay)
  3. One stat that needs to exist for LBs is "average rushing/passing yardage allowed per tackle." I guarantee Barnett has Poz beat in that. It looks like the Bills got an upgrade. The Jaguars overpaid.
  4. My vote is for MATT LIGHT at LT, move Bell to RT. He is a UFA and the rumor is that New England wants to move him for a younger faster LT. The Bills could get a huge upgrade with him. He never gets hurt (Bell was hurt ALL SEASON), tired, rarely gets beat, gives Tom Brady all day to throw. He has 10 years experience and let's face it: HE KNOWS THE SECRETS OF ALL THE PATRIOTS BLITZ-READING CHEATS!
  5. I just can't take it anymore. Kelsay is the obvious weak link on this defense. If he isn't benched after this game, these coaches are smokin crack!
  6. He might play against the Texans since Williams has an injury. Also look for Maybin to get a lot more playing time.
  7. Bills 20 Texans 10 Fitzy wins job, Maybin gets 1st sack, typical Byrd INTs...
  8. I actually think that Fitzy's drop back is pretty quick and regular. The oddest thing about his mechanics is his throw. He seems to decide where the pass is gonna go immediately, then pulls back and releases instantly and without really stepping into it. I think this is his greatest strength because DB's don't have time to read the play and pass rushers get frustrated that they can't get the sacks they're expecting. Trent on the other hand, never frustrates pass rushers, and is very easy to read because he stares down on primary receivers and has a slow, obvious release. The best thing about having a wacky release is the throw is never to an obvious target.
  9. Basically, it's a bigger liability to start a rookie at center than guard and Hangartner had some experience. But, after watching Hangartner get absolutely KILLED week after week, I think the position needs to be addressed. I bet Wood will eventually take the job and "Hangman" will end up at guard or on the bench.
  10. Surfin Bird by the Trashmen (bird bird bird bird is a word) needs to be his theme song.
  11. David Carr set a record for being sacked the most times in a season. 76 times in '02. He would break this record as the Bills QB.
  12. I must admit, Edwards has Fitzpatrick beat in the looks department. He looks like a California surfer hunk and Fitzy kinda looks like a leprechaun/troll hybrid. Though, Hamdan might take 1st in the pageant.
  13. A lot of Edwards fan boys on the forum throwing out exotic stats that "prove Edwards is a better quarterback." I for one find this disturbing. if you really love the Bills, you should be happy they're finally winning instead of looking for excuses why Fitzy won or excuses why Edwards loses. Why not save all your "bombshell" stat comparisons for a Fitzpatrick loss? Or are you worried that he keeps winning and steals the job and saves Dick's job?
  14. +1 Nic Harris and how about Maybin? Not many good plays coming from Ellison, Palmer and Draft.
  15. Everyone keeps saying Fitzy is not capable of being a starter, but that's not a valid argument unless he actually F's up and loses a game. Edwards had his chance, now it's Fitzy's turn.
  16. More 1998 Flutie/Johnson deja vu.
  17. Because I actually watch the game, not just passing yards/completion %. The Panthers pass rush was outstanding. Edwards would have taken 7 sacks.
  18. Texans are a passing team all the way, so the Bills should easily win. Look for Byrd to make two more INT's.
  19. Actually, the only real liability was Hangartner. Panthers were blowing through him like Kleenex on every play. He looked especially pathetic on the safety. BTW, A lot of Fitzy's bad throws were to prevent sacks. A QB that can throw the ball away is a huge asset.
  20. A new coach isn't gonna solve anything. Sure, Dick sucks and is a total douche, but 2 of our loses came on return fumbles. Would you still want to fire Jauron if the Bills were 5-2? Ralph just wants cheap coaches, and you get what you pay for.
  21. Fitz vs. TE - Fitz: Was able to handle an intense pass rush that Edwards wouldn't have been able to handle. Everything Fitzy does is faster than TE, not the other way around. Fitz threw a few bad passes, but most of those were to prevent sacks. Edwards can't escape pressure, can't even throw the ball away cause he's too slow. My money is on Fitzy.
  22. If you compare Fitzy to Carson Palmer, that 4-7-1 record and all other stats looks stellar! You gotta compare apples to apples.
  23. Is it just me, or does Fitzpatrick look FAST? I mean, his drop back, his release, his decision making, his scrambling, etc. Maybe it's cause he's scared s***less, or maybe he's a coveted "quick-twitch" athlete? Either way, I like his speed.
  24. Edwards = Rob Johnson (Most sacked quarterbacks in NFL) Fitzpatrick = Flutie
