  1. Troup was a puzzling pick. In hindsight AND on draft day. He was very low on all the draft prospect sites. Seems like the Bills should fire all their scouts and just use Mock Draft sites. All the mock drafts had us taking Orakpo over Maybin, because who in their right mind takes Maybin when when Orakpo's on the board?? Heck, Maybin wasn't even invited to the draft!! That's a good sign that he's NOT 1st round material.
  2. Thanks. That's great that he's now 1st DE on the depth chart. I thought Dwan held that spot. I hope this is accurate. I didn't see much of him in the game yesterday. BTW, sorry for starting this thread, just thought the kid needs recognition. I guess he's getting it.
  3. Does he? That's news to me. He has been Kelsays back-up for most of the season.
  4. I saw Moats in there for a few snaps and he couldn't provided any pass rush. Batten was MIA. Morrison has been very limited but looked good from what I've seen. I'm not sure how Johnson or Kelsay make it on the field. Everyone knows how bad they are. Before the Tennesee game, the TV commentator said we would lose because Kelsay and Johnson are so easy to run outside on. So, this is no secret. Norv was calling runs outside every time he needed 2 or 3 yards and would end up getting 8-12. It's just sad. Carrington is the closest thing we've got to a Bruce Smith, I know, light years away, but still the closest thing. I think he would be a perfect 4-3 DE (they need to switch back to 4-3!!)
  5. I know Carrington is not great, but he's batting down passes and kicks and he looks like he has the most potential of all the OLBs. Kelsay and Spencer Johnson are getting killed out there. Niether of them seem to be very conditioned. Spencer is fat and slow and easy to exploit. Kelsay is just all around horrible. Isn't it time to start developing some prospects now that the season is lost?
  6. I felt that Maybin and Kelsay were pretty equal. Same body types, techniques, talent (or lack-there-of). Maybin was obviously a better athelete, though, Kelsay was better against the run (barely). I'm not sure why Maybin was benched (and cut) while Kelsay was given the starter tag and the long-term contract. I guess it just comes down to expectations. Because Maybin was a 1st round pick, they expected him to fill the need of a hybrid OLB/DE who could do everything. If you watch him play for the Jets, the defensive scheme is to let him line up anywhere on the field that gives him the best chance to get the sack, and thus, he gets them. Over 2 seasons, the Bills never thought to even try this scheme, thus, zero sacks.
  7. I really don't even know anymore, but thanks for your vote!! Perhaps a better question would be: Is Kelsay worth $28 Mil over 5 years?
  8. Half the people on here hate him (myself included), but the other half think he's awesome or at least adequate. Someone even compared him to BRUCE SMITH after he hit Dalton on the "tuck rule" play. I thought a poll might clear things up, but apparently, nobody is taking this seriously. BTW, I think it's fair to ask if a player is elite if he's given a big contract extension. We could also start one for Kyle Williams, but he actually is considered one of the elite, so why bother.
  9. Since Kelsay has been a Bill longer than anyone and just had a huge contract extention last year, he MUST be considered one of the "elite" OLBs in the NFL, right? They say he has a "high motor."
  10. At least we've got Barnett.
  11. I think these rankings are pretty fair, though Mark Sanchez shouldn't be 11. I'd say he's more like #20
  12. This thread reminds me of something Fox News would do. They love to ask ridiculous questions for polls to reinforce thier narrow-minded conclusions with lopsided results... ...Is Fitz a terrorist? That beard looks VERY Al-Qaeda. Was he born in Kenya??
  13. He is good. I watched him a lot in college. There's something special about him. Smart move to try and pick him up.
  14. Shouldn't there be a difference between Elite Quarterbacks and Elite Teams? Brady, Rodgers and Brees are all on Elite teams that are stacked on offense and defense. Somehow, Fitzy is close to matching these guys stats with a very weak supporting cast. I think Brady would fail as the Bills QB. Infact, take Brady off the elite list because he only won Super Bowls while cheating. And pass rushers never get close to him. Fitzy has been the Bills MVP of the decade IMO. He may not be "elite" but he might be if he played on an elite team.
  15. Well, I can dream, can't I? AND not every single expert agrees with this. Parcels and Simms think he's over-rated and I'm sure there are others.
  16. I predict the Bills will end up getting Andrew Luck 5th overall. How is this possible?? Well, I think Luck's stock will drop when all is said and done (The Combine won't help him). AND, I think the Bills will lose every remaining game to sneak up to the 5th pick.
  17. There is one commonality to all these dreadful losing seasons: Chris Kelsay. Replace him with someone half decent and in the playoffs the Bills shall be.
  18. I watched on TV. It was a typical dominating block by McIntyre (Corey should be in the Pro Bowl) and a beautiful run outside by CJ. Definitely not a hold but kinda looked like one. The main TV commentator said it was definitely a hold but the other guy said in disbelief "So you think that was CLEARLY a hold?" He obviously didn't agree.
  19. I think that last pass by Fitzy was just too fast. It whizzed by Nelson, a defender, then finally right by Stevie before hitting the ground. I wouldn't call Nelson soft. He has the best hands on the team IMO.
  20. Alright, Marell's right, he should be cut. Show Freddie the money. Promote Nelson and use Spiller as full time WR.
  21. They shouldn't cut him, but maybe they can trade him for a 4th round pick? Something needs to be done. Stevie has cost us at least 2 big games. Stevie is a great route runner, tremendous athelete, but he'll never be mature enough to fill the "primary receiver" role. We might as well sign TO if we want a flashy, selfish receiver.
  22. Has B. Smith ever not converted on 3rd and 4th from the Wildcat? All I can remember was successful attempts, yet Chan is calling deep passes for Jones to drop on 4th and short now. Why!!??
  23. I watched the NYJ @ OAK game earlier this year and I noticed that Sanchez looked completely flustered and incompetent as the crowd got really loud. He looked so amateur. Same thing probably goes for the Ravens game. He's a decent player with total silence, but mix in a bit of crowd noise and he's pathetic. We need to be louder than ever on Sunday! Let's treat every down like it's 3rd! LET'S GO BUFFALO!!
  24. All I know is that was not a good moment to burn a timeout, and BB wasn't asking for one. I didn't hear an official explanation.
