  1. When I heard about him pulling a gun on his own father (link), I knew the guy was going to have an uphill battle making it in the NFL.
  2. There's never any mention of Fitzpatrick in the Stevie vs Revis discussion. Seems to me that the QBs need to be included in the "toughest to cover" discussions. Fitzy throws some nice bullets underneath and deserves credit for challenging Revis while most QBs avoid him.
  3. More stopages of play equals more time for commercial$.
  4. "The Debt Collectors" : It's time to pay The Bills
  5. Well, he did throw that nice INT. Sure, it was a pick, but it was also a nice spiral. I think Tebow might actually be better if he gave up on throwing. My biggest concern is that Chan won't allow the Wildcat anymore, because it was too successful. (gotta keep it under wraps) Though, it would be really smart to at least PRACTICE it, since they'll face it 40 TIMES per year, based on Rex's comments.
  6. So Rex Ryan is talking about using Wildcat 20x per game with Tebow. Not sure if I'll get attacked for this but here goes: I think Brad Smith has proven to be a more successful Wildcat QB in the NFL. Last year Brad was used 20 times at QB, he had 7 1st downs and 1 TD and he showed an excellent ability to find a softspot in the D-line and pick up crucial short yardage. Tebows stats are harder to decipher, since he was a starting QB, and not usually in Wildcat, but he had 6 fumbles and his biggest run of the year (against the Jets) was blatant holding in the End Zone. I'm not sure I've ever seen anything so great out of Tebow that would warrant using him 20 times per game. Although, I would love to see Brad Smith used about 3-5 times per game for short yardage and goalline situations. Perhaps Tebow will have some success, but not against the Bills. If he couldn't get by Kelsay, he'll have a heck of a time going against Mario. Thoughts?
  7. I felt that Jasper looked excellent in preseason. He was getting great push to the QB. He actually had a pressure that resulted in an Aaron Williams INT. I'm pretty sure the only reason they switched him to guard was because our other back-up DTs looked awesome (Heard, Dotson), not because he couldn't handle it. I'd love to see him used at Tight End on short yardage runs like Mularkey used to use Jason Peters. Mark my words. He will play and he will be great.
  8. He hasn't done much, but he did block some kicks and batted a few balls (one of which was intercepted by Wilson) Hopefully, he will make the team as a back-up DT along with Heard. I think Troup and Spencer Johnson should hit the road.
  9. So, why didn't Belicheat get suspended for spygate? Seems like that was at least equally unethical.
  10. LETS!! BTW, Dwan was better than Kelsay lest year. Had 2 run stuffs and sacked Brady. Kelsay did nothing except sacking clueless Tebow.
  11. I'm not sure ANYONE is behind Kelsay. The only good argument for not cutting him is there's nobody else to be Mario's back-up. It's his contract and cap hit that really make me want to vomit. He's making 1/3rd of what Mario makes. It should be closer to 1/10th.
  12. Very true. 1 guy doesn't "cover" the pass rush problem. We're gonna need AT LEAST two more pass rushers. Maybe Moats can be one of them? I don't see any others on this roster. Kinda scary.
  13. No team has Kelsay on their radar. He was never very good and now he's past his prime. He has zero value. 5th or 6th rounder is a pipe dream . If you watch "real" film on Kelsay, without the Tebow stuff, he was a huge liability. Never snuffed out a screen pass, never stuffed a run, couldn't get to Dalton before the "tuck," couldn't deflect a pass, couldn't even get close to Brady. I'm done. If he's on this team next year, playoffs will be impossible. Any time a team needs an easy 10 yard gain, they just run it right at Kelsay.
  14. You just HAD to bring up the Denver tape, didn't you? He did nothing for 2 straight season before that game, and he had his hand in the dirt 90% of time. Because he's good enough that someone would trade for him? No.
  15. Please. Name one big play Kelsay has made (excluding Tebow.) I think his biggest plays of the year were two holding calls he drew. He get's held like a pro. That's about it.
  16. Kelsay is not a "run-stuffer." Just check his stats. He's an "over-pusuing edge rusher that can't get sacks." He had one oppurtunity to stuff Bush behind the line last year. Bush ran through him like he wasn't even there.
  17. You people are all nuts! Kelsay is god awful. He had his "hand in the dirt" nearly 90% of all plays last two years. He couldn't do a damn thing except sack Tebow. Raise your standards people! This guy wouldn't see the field on any other team.
  18. Most definitely BYRD. Levitre couldn't even stop Maybin. That was at Left Tackle, but STILL. Is he really any good? He certainly can't play Center or LT. He's an average guard at best.
  19. Sure, Hill looks like the combine champ, being bigger and faster. But, Floyd has the intangibles. He's fearless and focused. He attacks the catch. The way he extends for balls will make him Fitzy's best friend. The bigger question here should be if they should even select a WR. This class is deep. I say stock up on WRs in later rounds. Pick one of the DE or OLB prospects #1. I don't even care about offense anymore. I just wanna see Brady and Sanchez running for their lives next season.
  20. As horrible as Kelsay is, he actually looked PRO going against Tebow, the only left-handed QB he faced. So, I wouldn't mind seeing if he can repeat that success on the right side. Also wouldn't mind seeing him cut/retire.
  21. What about Hairston? I think he could be the 10 year LT. Where is our 10 year DE or OLB?
  22. Agreed. I thought he was a feasible pick pre-combine. Now his 40 time and measurements are raising his stock. Ralph said we need more runners. He makes catches fully extended with no regard for bracing his falls, or taking hits. He's a possession, deep threat, playmaker, any-label WR. Has the potential to be a Megatron type of player. Could we call him Optimus Prime? Although, the crop of receivers this year is deep in both the draft and free agency. It would probably be better to pick a more scarce position here like DE or LB
  23. LINK Cheating? Or motivating?
  24. What about the Madden curse?? Peyton's career was effectively over once he made the cover of Madden 12.
  25. I'm starting to lose the concept of what is/isn't sarcasm
