  1. True, Schobel did get to Brady quite often, but Light is far better than Solder based on what I saw last year. Let's hope he has trouble adjusting to the other side. I see this as a major factor in turning the tide on the Pats* dominance.
  2. link Matt Light is a beast. He has consistently pwned our pass rush for over a decade. And now HE'S GONE!!! Bills fans, rejoice!! Good luck to Nate Solder. He's going to need it.
  3. Hairston deserves to start!! my top 3 choices: #1 Ingram #2 Floyd #3 Kuechly
  4. I agree with most of this. Brady generally throws better balls than Fitz, no doubt. Brady has better touch passes, screens and deep throws. I'd give Fitz a slight edge on short bullet throws, because he has a faster release than Brady and he usually has great accuracy on those throws. Pocket presence is too close to call. They both do a great job with sack avoidance, with Fitz facing more adversity and getting sacked less. Game Management is tough to compare, but I'd give Fitz the edge because of all the comebacks he has orchestrated. I've witnessed Brady struggle in comeback attempts as he sometimes lacks the sense of urgency (though, it's rare that Brady is in a "comeback" situation). Toughness is hands down all Fitzy. He doesn't mind getting hit. He even congratulates D players for nice hits (as seen in his Mic'd up segment). He'll run head first into a defense on a QB sneak. He'll run back into a running play after the hand-off to block. Brady does none of this. He just cries after a hit, no matter how clean it was. Also, I feel like his skills start to crumble once he starts taking hits. With all that said, I still rank Brady higher than Fitz because of better throws/arm. BUT, that doesn't mean that Fitz's skills are so limited that they can't win more than 10 games. That doesn't make much sense. I could imagine Fitz taking this team all the way if he gets a few top-notch targets and at least an average D.
  5. 1. Chris Kelsay 2. Mark Kelsay 3. Chris Kelso
  6. One thing that Brady has always had going for him is epic amounts of time in the pocket, his entire career. Matt Light deserves a lot of the credit. Mankins is also superb. What I do notice, is that Brady plays horrible after getting hit. Look at what happened when they played in Buf last year. Merriman got to him, grabbed his shin. Brady proceeded to throw bad passes, 4 INTs, the rest is history. Last years super bowl is another great example. Fitzy can take the hits. I've never seen Fitz cry to the refs like a little biatch, either.
  7. Yeah, I guess it was significant! All I remember was the crowd going nuts after that play. I was in the end zone and it was "Canada Day." The drunk, rowdy Canadians were fighting with Bills fans left and right. They were all pulling for the Jags. After Flutie scored, a Canadian poured beer all over us, but we didn't care. I've never seen so much emotion to end a game. It was EPIC!!
  8. It was totally insignificant, but Flutie's naked bootleg to win against the Jags was an awesome memory. Also, check out Bruce's late hit in the comeback game. It's hilarious how Bruce reacted to the flag ( "WHAT!!?! Me?!" ). He hits Moon so hard and so late, you'd think Greg Williams was coaching him.
  9. Nix should keep going after Graham Harrell. We know they like him. I like him. Green Bay wants him but I doubt they can hold on to him forever.
  10. Kelsay can't stop runs, he never has. Kellen Heard will definitely make the team.
  11. When evaluating talent, you need to look at more than wins. Sure, Fitzy threw a ton of INTs and forced a lot of balls, but how many of the QBs ranked ahead of him had to operate out of the spread with 5 WRs (with only one being a legit, drafted WR, and a 7th rounder at that) sets most of the time? It was as if Chan wanted to evaluAte talent more than win those games, especially the final Pats game. Fitz put up 1st quarter stats that looked as good as an entire game. It wasn't until SJ celebrating and the back-up center throwing the shotgun snap 10 yards behind Fitzy that the wheels fell off (as well as the D having no answer for Brady). Still, FitzGERALD went out on a high note and he'll build on that as he's done every season. Look for him in the playoffs this year.
  12. Can we make this thread about the "tuck rule" instead?
  13. Just following up with the nit pickers. I should have said "best since Kelly" instead of 2nd best all time. I have no idea how Fitz or even Kelly would compare to Kemp and Ferg.
  14. I'd take those 13 teams WR corps over ours, but not their QB's. I'd take pretty much any teams WR's over ours. There's no playmaker. There's no deep threat. I'd say SJ, Nelson and Chandler are all good "possesion receivers" but there needs to be playmaker in order for Fitzy to be considered great by the masses. A guy that can inflate his stats by getting an extra 20 yards after the catch. Maybe Floyd??
  15. What I see that makes him special is his quickness, his toughness and his intelligence. I think he is as good as anyone in those categories. What all the "elite" QB's have going for them are stud recievers and better pass protection. Yes, I know Fitzy was the least sacked QB last year, but it wasn't because of elite pass protection. I credit Fitzy's quickness for that.
  16. I think he's awesome. Always have. He does more with less. If he had some better recievers and if Chan would actually allow him to use his strengths instead of testing his weaknesses, he'd look a lot better. I consider him top 10 in the NFL and top 2 overall for Bills all time (behind Kelly, ahead of Flutie).
  17. I liked Bell as a Bill, but I think he'll be a disaster as an Eagle. Seems like Vick is hard to protect. He has poor pocket awareness. The pathetic Bills pass rush looked phenomenal last year agaisnt him. The media is pushing the Eagles like they do EVERY year, dating back to the McNabb days, but they always seem to collapse.
  18. Ahhh, I was waiting for the token Ed Wang joke. I almost posted that myself, but I knew someone else would.
  19. I think Hairston is the guy. I saw him get beat a bunch of times, but I'm not concerned. He came off the bench after very little coaching and virtually no offseason training. I predict he'll look better than Bell this year.
  20. Great show! Thanks for posting. It might not be the most scientific assessment, but Dareus completely pwned Suh in every category when he was on.
  21. Brian Quick has the longest arms in the 2012 draft, of ANY position. Would be a perfect target for Fitzy.
  22. There is nothing insane about this at all. Truth is, the DEA brings in billions every year through siezing drug assets and the drugs themselves (by reselling them). Yet, the DEA still needs to spend taxpayer money to operate. All those profits mysteriously vanish, so it's pretty safe to assume the government is using it for things they'd rather not talk about, and I'm sure DEA agents split up a little pie amongst themselves. Isn't this common knowledge?
  23. This just solidifies Dareus' dominance over the NFL. Fairley has pretty much been an injury bust so far, now this drug bust makes him a total bust. Still, these drug laws are a mess. Medicinal needs to be legalized in NY just like Vermont and Michigan. We can all quit our jobs and become farmers. Each plant nets $4000, which the state can tax the hell out of and everybody wins! And these random drug busts are obvious racial profiling. How often do you hear about a white guy getting arrested for pot? It's unheard of. The inequality of it all is reason enough to fully decriminalize.
  24. So.. The secret weapon is Brad Smith in the Wildcat? I like it! I'd love to see the look of regret on Rex Ryan's face when he finds out how useless Tebow is compared to the guy they lost!
