  1. I still don't think the Saints actually cheated. Scott Fujita's account seems the most plausible. They most likely handed out cash (peanuts to these guys) for big plays, not injuries, which is very unethical but hardly gives the team an unfair advantage like spygate did. Sometimes the rhetoric in football gets pretty violent. Even nicknames like "Lights out" can be considered a call to knock someone out of a game. I heard guys on the field in high school football yelling "I'll knock you out motherf**ker" during plays, but it wasn't literal. It just rhetoric. Also, didn't the Pat* get a warning but continued to cheat anyway? And, why was Belicheat never suspended?
  2. Is this true? I feel like I must be misinterpreting this.
  3. Preseason games that do not sell out in either team's home or away markets and games broadcast nationally on ESPN will be available 24 hours after the conclusion of those games Wait a minute! I thought away games were never blacked out. WTF?! I missed that.
  4. To be fair, that final game was more of a preseason game for the Bills. During the 1st quarter, Fitzy was on fire. He put up numbers that were good enough for an entire game, but like preseason games, it's not about winning, it's about seeing what you've got, because they had nothing else to gain. After that, SJ was benched for celebrating and Chan started evaluating his WR corps. He started using 4 and 5 wideout shotgun sets with guys like Ruvell Marin and Hagan. They had a very good drive in the 2nd until the back-up Center muffed the snap and it went 10 yards behind Fitzy and they couldn't recover. I believe they set a record for biggest collapse after leading by 21.
  5. I fully expect PreseasonLive (the $20 thing) to be blacked out. There is a slim chance that the service can be fooled into thinking you're somewhere else using a VPN or a proxy (works for MLB and NHL), but I think NFL might be a step ahead on that. I tried a VPN in San Jose but NFL.com routed me to it's international "Game Pass" site when I tried to load a Preseason video. I will try more tinkering on thursday. I may even ask an out-of-state friend to log into my account and set up a webcam on the screen, if all else fails.
  6. Looking at the Pats schedule, it's quite possibly the easiest schedule any team has ever been gifted. The 49ers game would be the biggest challenge of all. But it happens to be in NE in mid-December during a probable blizzard. The Bills have a similar schedule but it's much more difficult if you consider playing 49ers in San Fran. Not an easy feat.
  7. Yeah, I shoulda known better. I didn't read the fine print. At least I can watch the game tonight. Anyone have any luck using this service with a proxy or a VPN to avoid blackouts?
  8. Yep, that's the reason. So, I decided to avoid all NFL news coverage and pretend the game is live tonight, but those bastards at NFL spoiled it for me. I got an email from them this morning called "Saints Top Cardinals in HOF game."
  9. I'm feeling robbed by "Preseason>Live" because I fully expected to watch the Cards vs Saints last night but it was Blacked Out. So, I waited until 11 PM to watch it because the FAQ page said it would be added to the archive after the conclusion of the game. Nope, still wasn't available. All I can watch are preseason games from 2011?!? I imagine the Bills home games will also be blacked out, now I'm wondering if I'll ever have an oppurtunity to watch ANY games on this service. They should have called it "Preseason>Rewind". Kinda want my $20 back.
  10. Did you notice how Kelsay didn't make a single play all season? His stats are padded with meaningless sacks off of a confused Tebow. I know it's a team game and all, but eventually you expect an individual to register a meaningful BIG PLAY (at least once per season?!) His best play of the year was the infamous Dalton "tuck rule" non-sack, but it didn't count, so it doesn't matter.
  11. Please, post a video of Kelsay stuffing a run. It hasn't happened in a long time. Please, explain why the team is setting records for rushing yards against. Who is to blame? If he's a stout run defender, there should be some evidence of it. He was lining up next to one of the best DTs in the NFL (Dareus) last season, yet he couldn't register a single Run Stuff. It's kinda sad, really.
  12. I gotta admit, Kelsay's arms have never looked bigger. He also might have more success as the blind side rusher since he was so effective against Tebow, the only lefty he faced. Although, that could just be because Tebow sucks.
  13. I think I hate Kelsay more than anyone. To be clear, it's not because he doesn't pressure the QB. He is a decent pass rusher and could easily get 5-7 sacks this year with a better supporting cast. My problem with him is his ability to stop runs. He might as well be Aaron Maybin out there. Over the last 2-3 seasons, the Bills have been setting milestones and near records for Rushing Yards Allowed. If anyone should be held accountable, it's Kelsay. He has not disrupted a running play in 2-3 seasons. He had Reggie Bush trapped behind the line but Bush ran through him like a piece of paper. Bush is not considered a power-back, but he looked like Jerome Bettis on that play.
  14. I only want to know who's better at hitting a FG from 47 yards, on natural grass, in a Super Bowl.
  15. IMO, 49ers were sure Super Bowl champs last year if it weren't for that 10 cent, back-up punt returner. 7-9 must be some kind of joke.
  16. "Collection Agency" It's a triple entendre. First of all, they will be collecting huge paychecks, that's a given. Also, they will be harassing opposing QBs much like credit collectors. And third, "you can keep on charging but eventually you have to pay the Bills" -Balki Bartokomous
  17. Kellen Heard- Shows flashes of greatness. Sacked Brady twice in final game. Hope his ankle gets better and he makes the cut. Alex Carrington- Seems like the best candidate to backup either DT or DE. Long arms can block kicks and passes. Corey McIntyre- Always does his job. Blocks, runs, catches.. Worth a roster spot. Bryan Scott- not that he's a potential cut, just one that I root for. Watch for him to own Gronk this year.
  18. So, nobody cares that Carrington blocked 2 kicks, stuffed 4 runs and deflected a pass for an INT? How many other D-line players did absolutely nothing and don't get called out? Kelsay, I'm lookin at you.
  19. 7 first downs and 1 TD on 20 attempts sounds pretty productive to me, regardless of what down or how many yards he gained. Using it more than 20 times would've given us a better impression, but I noticed Brad's skillful patience of finding the soft spot in the line to pick up crucial yardage.
  20. Kellen Heard. He may not be the toughest or the dirtiest, but he's definitely the scariest looking.
  21. Biggest lie of offseason: Kelsay is "good"
  22. Hey, don't dis Brad Smith. He's a Swiss Army knife that saves roster spots (QB/WR/KR). His #1 purpose should be Wildcat QB. He was successful with it last year. If Chan sticks with it he'll be worth the $$$. Either way, Kelsay's a way bigger waste.
  23. So he's not a pass rusher. He can't stop the run. What exactly does he do other than occupy an opposing Right Tackle? Well, he sacked Tebow a bunch. I think he drew 2 holding penalties last season. But other than that?
  24. To those who don't notice Carrington: he had 4 run stuffs last season. NOBODY had more than him. Dareus tied him with 4. On a team where nobody can stop a run, cutting him would be dumb. Also, he seems capable to play either DT or DE. He's quicker than Edwards, Johnson, Troup or Heard. He also had a sack, 2 blocked kicks and a pass deflected for an INT. He seems like a shoe-in to me. The D-Line seems to be the biggest camp battle.
  25. But Kelsay's been here the longest. Shouldn't that get him at least a mention as the most indispensable? After all, they refuse to get rid of him. He must be indispensable, no?
