  1. IMO, Byrd is better at what he does and harder to replace. This should be a poll.
  2. He did a bit. I believe he filled in for Kelsay while he was injured and he looked good. Stuffed a run or two, swatted a pass that was INT'd. Not horrible.
  3. I think you'd be more confident if you watched the Pats and Jets preseason. They both have made the Bills look good. The media is hyping Chandler Jones and acting like Nate Solder is some future All-Pro left tackle while they are both looking servicable at best. They are also trying to blame all of the Jets problems on the RT, Wayne Hunter. Don't buy into the media hype this year. Both teams look terrible.
  4. Exactly, it adds to the mystery. There are other names you could throw around (Ferguson, Eddins, Batten) but Moore seems like the only one worth cutting Merriman for.
  5. When Nix say "those 2 young guys," he means: Kyle Moore.
  6. Really sad. He was the best player on the field vs the Skins. Also, he was a huge factor in beating the Pats* last season.
  7. Good: Dareus and Kyle W both look super-human. Howell was good. Heard looks too good to cut. Kyle Moore flushed Joe Webb from the pocket 2 times, decently. Graham finally looking like a starter. Dickerson finally making catches and showing good speed and blocking. Moats was solid. Fitz and VY. Bad: Asper, Williams and Carmon on the O-Line. Sheppard missed some tackles, lost his footing, Ruvell Martin didn't get past the marker on 4th down catch. Thigpen and Brad Smith can't throw. Choice never seems to get more than 2-3 yards. Cut em.
  8. Well, Carrington blocked 2 kicks. Does that count as ST whammy?
  9. Keep an eye on Kyle Moore vs Vikings. They had high hopes for him in Tampa Bay but he wasn't comfortable in the 3-4 and didn't make any impact. However, he looks like a natural 4-3 pass rusher. 6'6" 265 with good speed and very long arms.
  10. I only mentioned this because Stevie was talking about sitting in the stands as long as possible and eating popcorn on the John Murphy show. If Chan started a team policy that encouraged players to not celebrate, I think it would effectively solve the issue. The benching didn't really solve anything and it won't in the future because they can't afford to not have SJ on the field.
  11. I wish HE would shut up about celebrating. He is talking about it. Someone needs to deal with him. He has no intention of stopping from what I've gathered. He just wants to make the celebrations as elaborate as possible without getting flagged.
  12. link I don't see this as MJD drama but as a smart coaching move. It's a great way to encourage teamwork and selflessness. I'm scared. SJ is already talking about pushing the envelope with his end zone celebrations. I can't help but think, why has Chan not taken a stand against celebrating?
  13. I didn't even have a game plan!
  14. I'm thinking it's a physical conditioning problem. Perhaps he can't keep up with the workouts as well as Snow, Asper and Williams?
  15. Eball, yr funny. We need to bring back that Kelsay thread.
  16. He played with more intensity than any other back-up OL in the preseason game. He was playing like a man possessed. Most of Vince Youngs best runs were set up by key blocks by Jasper. I don't get it. Asper and Williams looked overpowered. Jasper was immovable.
  17. It's all perspective I guess. I was disappointed he wasn't tested more. Do you really think he should be on the field ahead of Anderson or Merriman?
  18. What I don't understand is why did Kelsay only stay in for 1 series? It needs to be determined if he's still capable of playing. Merriman was in for most of the first half, despite always playing at a high level. We KNOW Merriman can play. Why bother testing him while risking an injury? Other notables: Danny Batten had a very nice blitz, Chris White made a great pass defence.
  19. I think no huddle is fine. A better question would be: "Are 4 & 5 wideout shotgun sets a good option?" The answer is NO. That stuff didn't work last year and won't work this year. And I think Chan was on crack when he put Brad Smith out there in the spread. That page in the playbook needs to be replaced with 2-TE sets like the Pats* use.
  20. Kelsay did nothing. He played the first few snaps and looked as if he wasn't trying. Anderson came in and every play seemed to go away from him, but he looked fast in his pursuit. Merriman was by far the best DE of the night, blowing up several plays and drawing a holding call and nearly got a safety. Kyle Moore also looked great in the second half. Eddins looked ok but barely got any pressure. At this point I don't see how Kelsay makes the team over Kyle Moore. Thigpen vs Young: They both threw awful but Young had an epic drive where he rushed for many 1st downs. Advantage: Young WRs: Clowney made some mistakes. Graham didn't want to catch a pass over the middle, or else he just dropped it, but at least he looks fast. Easley was decent. Martin looked decent. OL: Sam Young seemed to have some issues. I'd give the edge to Sanders. Jasper came in at LG the 2nd play of the 4th with a lot of intensity. First play he knocked the DTs helmet right off his head. He is a rock that can't be moved but is also pretty good on his feet. Others: Brooks looked great at DB, his INT was pro. Chandler made the best catch. He may be the best receiver on the team. Dickerson looked good, but nobody can throw well enough to get him a reception...
  21. There's an app called Hotspot Shield that might work for you.
  22. Yeah. You can change which games get blacked out based on your IP location.
  23. Good news! VPN works. Enable after logging in but before clicking "Launch" on the Preseason>Live site.
  24. First off, the game is tomorrow. It will be blacked out. It will be broadcast Friday night on local TV.
