The defense has improved. What changed? Kyle Moore was in place of Kelsay. McKelvin instead of A. Williams at CB. No opinions, just facts. Now for my opinion. Kelsay and Williams were the weakest links on the D. Now they are gone, the D is stacked. Moore even landed on the top 10 list for most QB pressures per pass rush. Now, If every player is good and does his job, even the worst defensive scheme can work. If only they'd replace Kelvin Sheppard, this might actually be a top 10 defense. As for the DE Smith. Do you mean Aldon or Justin? They are both stellar. But comparing either to Maybin seems like a horrible insult. Those guys are both all-pro potential and are WAY bigger and heavier.

On draft day, after Kuechly got picked, I was all in for Michael Floyd at #1. In hindsight, he hasn't done much, but I still think that would've been the smarter pick. Though, nothing against Gilmore.

TJ Graham was a 6th rounder at best. Spending a 3rd and a 7th pick on a guy who could've easily been attained in the 6th makes him the bust of the draft. This was known the instant he was picked. "REACH!!!" -Everyone in the shoutbox, moment TJ was drafted.

McKelvin deserves some credit. He is a true veteran and shows off how experience makes a difference at CB. Was very sound with his coverage and that punt return made all the difference Technically Mayock was right, because Mario was on the right side last week. Yes, they were moving quite a bit. The front 4 starters were all playing like a well-oiled machine. The pressure was definitely getting to Tannenhill's head. He was rushing throws and feeling the heat.

He used to be pretty good all-around. that's what Chan remembers. That's why he's here. Chan needs to face reality, that his friend is no longer good enough to be an NFL running back. Even as a back-up. Johnny White was a great option, but the Packers ganked him. A new back-up RB is desperately needed.

I'm really torn on wanting the BIlls in the playoffs. I feel like Chan is way too clueless to coach a big game, and we're only setting ourselves up for disappointment and frustration. I'd rather see the cheating Pats fail.

It's not just Merriman. It's Kyle Moore too. Actually, Kyle Moore is making a bigger impact than any other D player right now. Merrimans sack was created by Moore's rush. Is it obvious yet how much Kelsay has been holding this team back?

It's not so much of the refs trying to screw the Bills as it is the refs trying to give every game to the Pats. The only fair officiating I've seen in a Pats game over the last ten years was during the games with replacement refs.

Typical Pats game. Every holding and pass interference was a head scratcher. 15 yards to Ron Brooks for not running back in bounds? Delay of game instead of honoring the time out? All the un-reviewable, judgement calls they could call against us were called. I swear they hesitated to flag the late hits on Fitzy and Spiller until the players pointed them out. They allowed the Pats WR a free false start in the 1st, right before the FG, and a free offsides in the 3rd. The worst call of the day had to be the 17 yard "pass interference" on Byrd covering Gronk when the pass wasn't even to Gronk. At best, that's a 5 yard defensive holding. Even the replacement officials know that. Heck, anyone with basic football knowledge knows that. If there's no investigation into these refs and mis-applied calls, we can all safely assume it was by design.

I've been anxious to see Delano Howell play, so of course he gets released.

I'm wondering how Williams lasted this long. He was struggling as soon as preseason and he hasn't made a play all year. McKelvin got benched pretty quickly despite never really sucking as hard as Williams.

When your Chan Gailey, you need to run 5 wideout sets half the game, so it's hard to get RB's into the game as much as your rookie WR.

Chan has smartened up slightly over the course of the season. Perhaps Wanny will watch some film over the bye and realize he needs to smarten up as well. That could make all of the difference.

I caught Maybin on some TV show shopping for apartments in NYC. They were in the $5 mil range. He must have made gobs of money with the Bills if he's only making 615k now.

While I don't think Mario is this D's biggest issue, right now, Kyle Moore is the best DE on the team. He may not be the most talented, but he's playing hungry and he has made things happen late in the last 2 games. I've lost count of how many times he's gotten QB hurries and pressures with very limited playing time. If he doesn't start over Mario immediately, it's only based on that $100 million contract, not reality.

How about promote Wanny to Head Coach, demote Chan to OC and find a DC who is willing to blitz?

He seems to lack "situational awareness." A few recent examples: 1. Running a pass heavy, 2 minutes offense in OT last week. 2. Calling the Brad Smith hail mary last week. 3. Not attempting a 2 pt conversion vs Titans. 4. Calling pass plays nearly every time its 3rd and 2. I think he's the worst coach the Bills have had in a long time. Look at the first preseason game. Completely unprepared. The job of HC + OC is too much for him to handle.

Basically, we get Merriman for White. Howell and White were released. Merriman and Howell are re-signed. Seems like a smart move.

The way I see it, Chan lost the game, but Byrd saved it. Chan should look back at that game and see how he royally screwed up, and he should feel bad.

No sarcasm. Give the man some respect. He's been playing hard and producing. Saying he hasn't done s**t is a stretch. In 5 games he's produced as much as Kelsay has in 3 seasons (minus his Denver game).

False. Anderson has been the best DE I've seen on this team since Merriman. He has 12 tackles, a sack, a run stuff, a pass defend and several QB pressures. Pay attention.
