Tuck rule for Brady only
mountainwampus replied to benderbender's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. There's the "don't touch Brady's shin rule" and the "don't question if pass was catchable rule" when applying pass interference. -
Tuck rule for Brady only
mountainwampus replied to benderbender's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Andy Dalton had it applied twice in his career. One was a strip sack by Kelsay, recovered by Scott for a TD. The other was equally bs. -
Tuck rule for Brady only
mountainwampus replied to benderbender's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you compare Brady's tuck in the snow bowl to Manning last night, Brady clearly did not deserve it and Manning did. Why? Because Brady fumbles while being creamed by the pass rush. Manning simply lost grip as he tried to tuck the ball into his body. Pass rush had nothing to do with it. Why on earth should a qb be rewarded for getting strip sacked? It defies all logic. -
So Wes Welker is set to become a free agent...
mountainwampus replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Welker is a great WR and all but I think this team needs some bigger, taller targets. 6' 3"+ please. What works for the Pats* won't necessarily work for us. Also, he would never come to Buffalo. -
Did anyone keep the warm fuzzy stories from 3yrs ago?
mountainwampus replied to Iraq Vet's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My first impression of Gailey was that he was an old fuddy-duddy southerner with limited intelligence, but perhaps he would end up to have a lot of football intelligence. He really didn't. My first impression of Marrone is that he's younger, smarter and has far and away better "people skills" than Chan. -
How much talent do the Bills actually have?
mountainwampus replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I gotta disagree with this. I think he made all the difference on the D-line and gave the defense their first respectable performances against the run. Maybe you didn't notice, but he has BLOWN UP numerous plays. He doesn't get many stats but he's making a huge impact. If you compare yards allowed per game between games Moore started vs the record setting yards allowed vs Pats and 49ers with Kelsay/Anderson at RDE. The run D practically went from worst to first. -
Roster Implications

Definitely gone, along with Chan's other pet, Thigpen. -
Tune-in doesn't record the stream like Radio Rip does. You can't skip the commercials unless you use Radio Rip. But if you use Radio Rip, you are recording the stream as opposed to listening live, so it's not the same.
-
I use an Android app called Radio Rip Lite. It records the 550 stream so you can skip the commercials. There is usually 6 minutes of commercials for every 4-5 minutes of actual content. The paid version of the app allows exporting the streams as mp3s.

Hysterical Ref-Related Thread on Pats* Fan Boards
mountainwampus replied to MattM's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Same happened to the Bills @ Pats* during first quarter. They were pulling out flags left and right, trying to set the tone. The Cheatriot tone. I was reading some great conspiracy stuff on the Ravens fan board. How the refs wait for the play with the greatest momentum swing. Reminded me of how they took a Fred Jackson screen for a first in the first drive of game, called a phantom holding call, nowhere near the play. turned a first into a 3rd and very long. Huge momentum swings. When the pats get called for holding, it's always after they get stuffed. I've NEVER seen one nullify a big play for them. -
Alex Carrington - Profootballfocus Secret Superstar
mountainwampus replied to DukeyBomb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yes, he can play end. Kelsay got injured last year and Carrington took over (technically as a 3-4 OLB) and he had major success. He had 4 run stuffs and a pass deflect for an INT, playing at Kelsays spot for 2 games. It boggles the mind why he's not on the field more. He looked like JJ Watt batting a pass in the last minute of the Jax game. -
Refs playing favorites?
mountainwampus replied to Drop Kick Flutie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Here is more RTP info with a larger sampling size ('09-'11 week 3). Suddenly, Brady is near top of the list instead of at the bottom, just by adding the '09 into the mix. Now what if we took ONLY the 2009 season? Brady would likely be #1 in RTP. -
Refs playing favorites?
mountainwampus replied to Drop Kick Flutie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly, 2010 just happens to be the season where nobody could even get close to Brady. Their O-line was ranked #1 that year. 2010 was the best year ever for the Pats O-line. Selective mathematics. -
Refs playing favorites?
mountainwampus replied to Drop Kick Flutie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Typical Fox news. These numbers are BS. What is the sampling size? Are they factoring in Brady's entire career or just a few games where he didn't get hit? Brady would be at the top of this list if it weren't based on Fox's selective mathematics. -
Kelsay is done. He hasn't been nearly as effective as Merriman or Moore. Also, I'd really like to see Carrington in there at end. He is a tweener. DT is not where he is going to have the most success. He looked like best D player vs Jax. Put him at end and watch the sacks, run stuffs, and pass deflections pile up. He doesn't get nearly enough snaps!

It's not fair to blame Lindell for not making kicks Chan wouldn't let him attempt. I seem to remember him hitting a lot of 50+ yard kicks in his career before Chan. His career pct for 50+ yarders is 54% (18 of 33), Kaeding is 59% (10 of 17). I say, let's move Chan at head coach first.

Chan Will NOT Change How He Calls Plays
mountainwampus replied to Bronc24's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At this point, his play calling and coaching ability will only lead the team to a higher draft pick. -
did anyone notice the offsides on 3rd and 5 on Avril that extended the Texans drive, late in the game? Didn't see that mentioned in this thread. I think the NFL needs to question this ref, because in the replay Avril didn't budge, nor was anybody in the neutral zone. If I were a ref trying to fix the game, I'd throw that flag.
-
I didn't realize it was a busted play. I thought they accidently called a Tebow play while Sanchez was in. Definitely laughed out loud on that play and several occasions. The Edelman fumble recovery comes to mind as well. (3rd TD in 52 seconds)
-
why is this thread not about the Texans vs Lions. I think the NFL lost all credibility when they allowed Forsett to get off the turf after an 8 yard gain to run 81 yards into the endzone. Only to add insult to injury by assessing a 15 unsportsmanlike conduct to Jim Schwartz for throwing the red flag. What in the actual F*** did I witness yesterday??? I kinda get why Suh kicked Schaub in the crotch. I was mad as hell and I'm not a fan of either team.

Kelsay needs to go. The line magically looks better every time he gets injured. Same thing happened last season. Coincidence?
