In my opinion, Fitz never had a passing game this bad because he never had a situation like this with so many chances to win. Remember that the Jets had 20 penalties (NFL record for a winning team?) and the D kept them in it till the end. I'm aware that Fitz had some multi-INT games where he was chasing a runaway score, but nothing like this. It wasn't as bad as Trent, but worst since no doubt. I'm not just blaming EJ. The awful O-line, offensive scheme and all the inept sideline routes by the WRs were a big part.

I don't even think Rogers was the worst player in this game, much less worst all time. Sure the stats look bad and shocking, but he was playing the toughest role on the field. He was obviously going to be focused on and all passes were going to be coming at him. Personally, I was expecting a much worse result after McKelvin went down. Rogers wasn't too far off from Holmes on the TD. Anything less than a perfect throw and he would have broken it up. Now, the QB and WR play for the Bills, on the other hand, should have been better. That was the worst Bills passing game I've seen since Trent @ Cleveland 10-11-09.

MIA - TJ Graham - Track star with no separation
mountainwampus replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Webster Guy, Remember starting the TJ Graham Oh Dear God thread? This is back when TJ was getting A LOT of chances and we were all still calling for Easley to step in and save our team. Some things never change. -
MIA - TJ Graham - Track star with no separation

This experiment is over. It's been over. He doesn't have a shred of skill. The fact that TJ is still out there, starting and finishing games, is deeply troubling. He made no attempt to catch 2 or 3 sideline passes inbounds (one of them he never even saw coming). At least TRY to drag your feet or contort your body. Has TJ ever made a textbook sideline catch? Has he ever dragged feet to stay inbounds? As bad as he is along the sidelines, why does he run his routes on the very edge, giving EJ very little room for error? Epic bust. TY Hilton has been making spectacular catches. Russell Wilson is poised for a Super Bowl run, but we passed on both, traded up and drafted Graham. -
Marrone Wired for sound - Panthers Game link
mountainwampus replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That was another sign of genius. He acknowledged that it wasn't 4th quarter but wanted 2 points anyway. Gailey opted for 1 point in a similar situation last season, even at the very end of 3rd quarter. Another call that was anti-Gailey was the 55 yard field goal attempt. Gailey would have punted. Bills would have lost. -

Marrone seems really friggin smart telling Mario how get more sacks then he ends up breaking a franchise record. Is he a genius or maybe just psychic? -
Last year, I'd say Sheppard and Aaron Williams. This year, I like Williams as a safety and thrilled that Sheppard is gone. I only worry about TJ. I caught the 10 o'clock news the other night. They show a tiny snipet of Bills practice footage. EJ throws a perfect pass to TJ. He completely bobbles it, then pops it into the air, bouncing it off his helmet before catching it. No wonder EJ isn't targeting him much in games. Sadly, this is all I've ever seen from TJ. Extreme clumsiness. He lacks in just about every aspect of the WR skill set. Isn't this obvious to just about everyone at this point? It should be!! Not sure about Chandler. EJ has thrown him some bad passes. Colin Brown might come around. Carrington has been silent, but I have faith he'll make some plays and the D line as a whole has done it's job. Overall this team seems a lot more solid than in years past.

NO video link for this, but Michael Buchanan and Chandler Jones had a brutal sandwich hit on Geno Smith. BOTH Buchanan and Jones had helmet to helmet contact and Geno's head was bouncing like a pinball. Even though Geno played poorly, he played much worse after the hit.

TJ is clearly not Marrone's choice, but Nix/Whaley's. They told him to anoint TJ a starter and that he'll be the next Mike Wallace. They need a reality check, it's not going to happen. Easely has had very few chances over 3 seasons, but still managed to show some playmaking ability over many preseasons. TJ was the exact opposite. He has been targeted over 60 times and yet, still hasn't shown anything special. One thing he HAS shown is that he's willing to drop a ball if it means not getting hit.

Dwan Lives in Buffalo

Getting rid of Dwan in favor of Spencer Johnson was mistake. -
MIA - TJ Graham - Track star with no separation

Of course execution is everything, but put Easley or even Tommy Streeter in there and they will execute a higher precentage of the time. TJ had several targets in preseason, 0 catches. He had a very catchable kickoff and botched it beyond belief. What kind of message does this send to Easley? A 4th year rookie who has shown playmaking ability yet never see the field? What message does this send to the entire team? Does playing well ever amount to a promotion? Does playing bad get you benched? It should. -

I don't just bash every player who under-performs. I have studied this guy since the day he was drafted and every play he has made as a Bill. His college career was nothing special. His skill set is very limited. His combine performance awful. He is undrafted talent (not a 1st round talent like Moulds). Way too many easy drops last year to still have a job. Add to the fact that he runs wrong routes and is a serious fumble risk. This is not hyperbole, this is sanity!! This too is a problem but there aren't better options on the bench, as in the case of TJ. -

After last season someone posted NFL WR ratings from Pro Football Focus and TJ was dead last in the entire NFL. I'd link it but it's a premium stat. Anyone have access? He got targeted with a kick-off. Did he catch it? -
MIA - TJ Graham - Track star with no separation
mountainwampus replied to MClem06's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We've all seen what TJ can do. Absolutely nothing. He is the #1 problem on the offense. If EJ puts that deep pass on the money, there's still no guarantee TJ hauls it in. That 19 yard return was atrocious. He got it to the 12 after dropping it then running out of endzone, having second thoughts at the 2, then his teammate told him to run. This guy is physically and mentally challenged. I'm convinced he's Whaley's nephew. No business being in the NFL. Remember losing to Pats last year after he ran the wrong route? -
Illegal Use of Hands
mountainwampus replied to quinnearlysghost88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Is it that they're good, or are they just giving the advantage to the larger market? Seriously, how much money does the NFL lose if Buffalo is playing in the playoffs and not New England, a market that's at least 5 times bigger? -
Goodwin and Brooks to miss time after Surgery.

I like Drayton Florence. He played well for Detroit last year. I've heard of him. -
Goodwin and Brooks to miss time after Surgery.
mountainwampus replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not exactly. TJ dropped the ball 7 yards deep, then made a conscious decision to take it out, then he stopped on the 2, then he realized he had better start running. -

NOOO! Brooks looked so good yesterday! Goodwin played... well, he's fast. Tough breaks. -
An interesting stat about the penalties, and concern
mountainwampus replied to Rubes's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
These flags were mostly BS Cheatriot penalties, not real penalties. The Bills 2 big pass plays (1st to Woods then F Jax) that were nullified by very iffy calls are classic Cheatriot methods. Those "holds" or "hands to the face" were nothing worth calling. The Pats were holding just as much if not more. The Pats were also scamming the refs by twitching on the O-Line, waiting for D-line movement, then having an O-line guy jump and point. It wasn't very balanced officiating, as expected. -
Let's give Stevie Johnson some negative attention

The football gods clearly punished SJ for running his mouth about how aint nobody gonna stop him. He stopped himself once again. Why you gotta do him like that, god? -
How will Marquis Goodwin do?
mountainwampus replied to luckydog31's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I guess I shouldn't blame Flash for that one. Kolb made a bad throw, and your right, Tasker makes a lot of stupid assessments. I just think a more physical receiver would have been able to make a play on it or at least prevent the INT, and I think he's far off from being a starter or a good fantasy pick. -
How will Marquis Goodwin do?
mountainwampus replied to luckydog31's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There's a lot of evidence that he can't catch and isn't a natural receiver. He did a lot of carrying in college instead of receiving. He looked so raw in preseason. The play where he scratched his eye was very telling. He had his man beat but he couldn't adjust to find the football. He was running zig-zags while Lienart threw a perfect pass. The INT from Kolb was on Goodwin. He had a bomb go off his hands from Tuel vs Redskins. The bad WR play is piling up, but his returns were stellar. I hope he works primarily as a KR and I'd love to see a reverse or 2 to set up a fake rerverse. He's the fastest guy on team, but I don't see how they'll get him the ball. -
Patriots roster looks weak
mountainwampus replied to billsfan_34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually that 2007 Pats team (spygate was revealed that season) seemed like the best one they ever had. The O-line was the best I had ever seen. They had ESP, telepathy AND clairvoyance. Nobody touched Brady that year. I remember they didn't even need sketchy calls like tuck rules and "no touching Brady rules" that year because he was untouchable. But, they probably already had all the video and notes saved and copied before Goodell burned it all. -
Who do you think will start Game 1 ?
mountainwampus replied to Fan in Chicago's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While I was wrong about Tuel starting... I absolutely nailed the Kolb injury prediction. I mean, not that I'm glad the guy got injured or anything, but it was just so obvious that he was an injury waiting to happen. -
What Is The Stat We Will Need To Win?
mountainwampus replied to boyst's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Big plays on D. Sacks, INTs, FFs & PDs will win it.
