Those like myself who learned to type on a typewriter learned double spacing because a typewriter uses what is called monospaced fonts, meaning all letters/spaces use the same amount of space. Therefore it made sense to use more space between sentences. Computers use proportioal spacing, so for instance an "i" uses less space then an "s". The "space" bar uses more then (I think) anything else. So while it is now widely accepted that single spacing is correct, I for one missed the memo and continue to double space between sentences. http://grammar.quickanddirtytips.com/spaces-period-end-of-sentence.aspx

According to wikki, award goes to a player who "shows perseverance in overcoming adversity, in the form of not being in the NFL the previous year, a severe injury, or simply poor performance." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Football_League_Comeback_Player_of_the_Year_Award Vick fits the bill for adversity.

Question about an issue i have drinking beer fast....
Steve O replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
All I can say about chugging beer or doing shots is learn to enjoy the journey, don't be in a hurry to get to the destination. -

Kicked in the face while adjusting her seatbelt? She must be flexible...right age bracket for me, I'll open the car door for her but no way will I touch her seatbelt! -
Maybe he was never the same, but he sure did get his revenge on the Bills...in one of (or perhaps the) final games of 2006 he ran for 135 while with the Titans, then ran for 139 and had 44 receiving yards in the 2007 opener while with the Brocos. Both games at the Ralph, both one point losses.

Find a time that works best with your body. If you're not a morning person, don't start going to the gym before work, might be ok for a couple weeks but it won't last. Personally my mind works best in the morning, my body a little later. I go in to work around 6:30-7, take a 2 hour lunch and work out, leave between 5-5:30. As others have said, don't overdue at first. For weights start with 1 set the first couple times, then 2 sets a couple times, finally you can start doing 3 sets. Start light, should be able to do 17-20 reps. This builds the smaller muscles which lets you work into the bigger muscles...kind of like building a fire, start with kindlig, then put bigger logs on after you have a good base. For most rapidly approaching middle aged men you want to get to a point where your 3 sets consists of 12-10-8 reps with a one minute break in between Cardio is probably the most important thing. Not sure how out of shape you are, check with your doctor. You'll have good days and not so good, listen to your body. If your target is say to jog 2 miles and you feel great, do a third. If you're beat after 1 mile, call it quits for the day and have a better day tomorrow. Make this a part of your life. I would no more go on vacation without a plan for how I'm going to work out then I would without a plan on brushing my teeth. Beginning with 3-4 days a week might be a start but eventually you shouldn't be taking more then 1-2 days a week off, especially from cardio. ONCE AGAIN, CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR BEFORE BEGINNING ANY EXERCISE ROUTINE.

Do you think eggnog will go good with coconut rum?

no matter what you mix it with, don't drink it after 4 glasses of merlot -
My father went to Iowa so I'm a big Hawkeyes fan and thought we would do well to draft Stanzi in the fourth round or so. Glad Iowa won but thought Gabbert looked really good, all the tools, outside of a couple buddy passes and the intterception at the end that he should have thrown away. I've been hoping we go defense if Luck isn't there when we draft but wouldn't mind if we take Gabbert in the first. Stanzi may have a long career as a back up but can't build a team around him.

Jets want to win as they have a chance to move up to the 5 seed. As I pointed out in another thread, the brackets are done over each week so the number one seed in week two (NE) will play the lowest remaining seed. If both 5 and 6 seeds win week 1, the 5 seed won't need to go to NE week 2. Also there is the outside chance the 5 and seeds play in the championship game with the 5 seed hosting.

If the Jets pull their starters, shouldn't the Bills...
Steve O replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the thing is the playoffs are re bracketed after each week. In other words, if both the 5 and 6 seeds (the two wild card teams) win week one, the 6 goes to the one seed for week 2, so it is to the Jets benefit to try to move up a seed. Also, taking it to championship week, it is concievable that the 5 seed could host the seed for the AFC championship. I think the Jets do what they can to win -
good idea for next year, maybe we catch them at home before the weather turns

I was glad to find out it was a Buffalo restraunteur (?is that even a word? if it is I'm sure it is misspelled)and not the Rochester Pizza place. Not that I mind their pizza but there are others I prefer and would have felt obligated to eat only theirs for at least a year.

Disappointed at the NFL (Monday night game)
Steve O replied to Nasty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Um, yes, I was indeed talking about the overall quality of play. Fitz was 9 of 23 for 98 yards with a lost fumble and an interception. Freddie had 13 carries for 31 yards (one went for 13 yards so other then that he averaged 1 1/2 yards per carry). Lynch did play well, but overal it was not the kind of performance that encouraged more prime time games for the team -
Disappointed at the NFL (Monday night game)
Steve O replied to Nasty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the Thursday nite game against the Jets last year was pretty ugly...The second half of the season play this year should land us a Monday nite game next year, or at least a 4 PM Sunday game. -
OJ didn't exactly light things up his first three years

They threw in showtime when I threatened to leave, surprised they wouldn't do the same for you. Try back when your $20 off rate ends and I bet they will. You do need to get to second level support though.

The article says she got more then 1/2, I'd heard he had earned 1B...even so worst case he still has 250M. However he no longer has the potential to earn that kind of money as most of it was from endorsements and his image has been damaged, make no mistake of it. Also he didn't exactly leave every one in the dust last year, didn't win a tournament (even though he had a 4 stroke lead heading in to the final day of the last tournament). Still, I think he'll be fine even if he never earns another cent.
