RIP Russell Johnson (aka The Professor on Gilligans Island)
Steve O replied to Just Jack's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Mrs. Howell...she was in her mid 60's when Gilligan was on TV and still looked pretty good -
Similar to Lynch being traded (for what turned out to be) Carder and Harriston coming off hit and run and gun incidents, deals with players with pasts can pay big dividends. Belichick has a history of taking this chance, hitting the jackpot with Talib / Blount as well as Moss, missing on Haynesworth (which only cost a 5th round pick)

A Question About The National Championship Game
Steve O replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
To build on this point, the QB that led the 98 Vol's to the NC was Tee Martin (one of the "pre-Brady 6" picks) -
The Top 10 Coldest games in Bills history
Steve O replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was at the top two...the jets game at the time was the coldest only to be beaten out 3 weeks later by the Raiders game. Kept my beer on top of the Hibachi cover to keep it from freezing. -
One of the "three most similar cities..." is where I'm from.

You are correct"Florida Statute 776.013 states that a person defending their home or occupied vehicle from an "unlawful" forceful entry or attempted forceful entry by another may use deadly force to stop the invasion or attempted invasion of the property. In such instances they need not retreat before using deadly force, they need not warn the intruder of their intent to shoot, and there is an absolute presumption that the person attempting the entry was doing so with the intent to commit a violent act (i.e. "forcible felony"), and that the defender is presumed to be acting in reasonable fear of death or great bodily harm to himself or herself. In other words – no arrest or prosecution is technically "legal" if someone without a right of entry or ownership is trying to break in, and you shoot them..." more here http://www.floridafi...efense-law.html

January - Watch the playoffs (sans Bills once again) February - Route for my numbers to come in for the super bowl pool, discuss whether Byrd should be tagged again, discuss the combine and who we should go after in free agency March - Discuss who we signed in free agency and who we missed out on April - Endless mock drafts May - Endless draft analysis June - quiet (NFL really has to do something to maintain interest) July - Get psyched for training camp opening August - training camp in full gear, pre-season analysis, endless optimism about the upcoming season, take in a pre-season game or two September-December....hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

I witnessed this before yesterday's game.

What's so unusual about someone wearing a Trent Edwards Jersey? Granted they aren't as popular as a few years ago but I still see them at every game. -
First off these three got this wasted on Sunday night. I'm presuming they were all together as drunk #1 called drunk #2, then both called drunk #3. No one wanted to upset sober guy at 2:00 am Monday morning as he probably had to work that morning, but drunk # 1 could have saved sober guy a lot of grief and drunk #'s 2&3 arrests by calling him in the first place.

Think she can bench press more than you?
Steve O replied to WotAGuy's topic in Off the Wall Archives
She does speak, but I missed the bench pressing. Guess I'll have to watch it again as well. -
What is your EJ Manuel Confidence Level?
Steve O replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I see EJ's upside in the same realm as Flacco and Eli Manning. Probably never be a top 5 QB but he can be in the next 5. As Flacco and E. Manning have shown you don't need to be top 5 to win super bowls. -
$636,000,000 MegaMillions Tuesday night
Steve O replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in Off the Wall Archives
I can see where every million up to 5 million would make a difference in my life...after that, it will only make a difference in the lives of others. Except maybe buying into the Bills after Ralph passes. -

Had the first 3 numbers...$5 for my $2 investment. -
This coach is not happy with his team's effort

While I agree with your comments about today's kids, every time I start to lose faith I think of the following quote: “Our youth now love luxury. They have bad manners, contempt for authority; they show disrespect for their elders and love chatter in place of exercise; they no longer rise when elders enter the room; they contradict their parents, chatter before company; gobble up their food and tyrannize their teachers.” The quote is from Socrates. This is the way things have always been, it is the way they will always be. http://www.goodreads.com/quotes/63219-our-youth-now-love-luxury-they-have-bad-manners-contempt -
http://extramustard.si.com/2013/12/18/video-barry-hinson-rant-southern-illinois-murray-state-press-conference/?eref=sihp Not exactly a warm fuzzy press conference, don't think the trip home was much fun and neither will practice be today

It's always a fun day here in Dallas when...
Steve O replied to \GoBillsInDallas/'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I remember coming down to breakfast at the Sleep Inn on October 9, 2007. Still had my Bills garb on from the Monday nite meltdown at the hands of the Cowboys. This nice man still dressed in Dallas attire opens the paper, and in a loud voice snickers and proclaims "looks like the Cowboys did win after all, wasn't sure if I was dreaming".Has anything good happened to Dallas since then? Sometimes you just have to wait for lady Karma to rear her ugly head -
The Bills got what turned out to be Chris Hairston and Tank Carder. While this turned out to be a terrible deal for the Bills, Lynch is probably still just one step away from a year long suspension given his previous track record with gun and hit and run incidents. I'm glad things worked out for him, but I think it would have been different, and not in a good war, if he had stayed in Buffalo (of course I can't be sure of that.)

Chuck Knoll would refer to Lewis as "my gift to Buffalo"

http://nfl.si.com/2013/12/12/worst-trades-nfl-history/?eref=sihp Bledsoe for what turned in to Wilfork & RJ for what turned in to Fred Taylor and Tavian Banks didn't make the list. Neither did Losman or Mcargo trades, not sure who they turned in to.

Doesn't seem upset, just says thanks, gets up and leaves
