  2. Kelly McGillis had me ready to convert except for http://iheartingrid.files.wordpress.com/2012/04/kellymcgillis.jpg
  3. Final day cut of the Browns last year, free agent now. With a deep WR class his NFL day likely over
  4. The start of spring used to be great, 3 weeks of March Madness followed by Masters week, a week off and then the draft. A couple months off from football then anticipation builds as training camp nears. Now the NFL wants to be involved in every month as well as grow international venues. I can see a time when fans become saturated from all the marketing and interest fades.
  5. The plane forced the hole to be closed for the day, so the obstruction rule is not relevant. For posting purposes, since the hole could not be played, you should post for that hole what your handicap would dictate you should get on it. From the middle and back tees the 17th is the #1 handicap hole at this course and is a par 5. Therefor, those with course handicaps of 1 through 18 should assume boggy and take a 6. Those with course handicaps of 19-36 should assume double-boggy and take 7. Those with course handicaps over 36 should, of course, stick to miniature golf (or at least tee off after me)
  6. with the logo from the 60's that he received as a gift for
  7. The OP's question was at the time of the pick...speaking for myself, with Freddie and Lynch on the roster, and just a few years removed from drafting McGahee in the 1st while Travis Henry was playing well, the CJ pick just left me scratching my head. If memory serves, Bulaga was being widely discussed as the probable pick. Glad we went with CJ in retrospect.
  8. Not that it wasn't great to land him in the second round, but Cowart was drafted in 1998 After watching the QB skills competition at the 2013 superbowl, then listening to him being interviewed, I was thrilled we ended up with EJ. Almost as happy to land Woods in the second.
  9. Whichever one you do to your old girlfriend's presents and pictures
  10. With Freddie getting old and CJ's contract coming up, if Gavin Grey is still available we need to get him. Plays both ways, gets the most from his teammates, intimidates the opposition, refuses to lose (sorry about the sub-titles)
  11. Re loving Staubach - Jerk! (kidding, kidding. I just always hated the Cowboys)Re Jerry Richardson - I had no idea who Buftex was talking about, thanks for the info. Someone else mentioned him in the comments following the article.
  12. Never heard of her but she was beautiful. She's with her mother now. RIP.
  13. If getting crushed by the Seahawks in the SB included beating NE in the AFC Championship, I'd be okay with that for next year.
  14. So sick of getting torched on third and long that it doesn't even bother me that much any more, just kind of expect it. If it was an easy fix it would have been done by now. We've tried fixing it with the pass rush (Williams and Anderson in 2012), first round corners (Gilmore and McKelvin), run stuffing tackles (Williams and Dareus). Nothing seems to work. To compete in today's NFL we just need to be able to outgun the opposition.
  15. http://wallstcheatsheet.com/sports/the-7-wealthiest-nfl-players-of-all-time.html/?a=viewall&ref=OB No surprises for no's 2-7, number 1 was a total shock. Great football player who made almost all his money in business, not endorsements like everyone else on the list.
  16. At the time I also wanted to stay with the traditional AFC East rivals. In hindsight, the Miami rivalry has lost its luster and lets just say with a few exceptions New England games haven't been much fun either. It would be cool to have division rivals within driving distance (Cinci, Pitt, and Cleveland). Nonetheless, cool that Butler called, then waited for your call back.
  17. Chris Christie agrees with you http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000239207/article/chris-christie-ny-giants-jets-are-new-jersey-teams Excerpt from the above link: "There's nothing left from New York about the Giants or the Jets, except for the name." Bills have been New York's only football team since 1984
  18. When told he was voted the third dirtiest player of all time he responded by saying he was number one among active players
  19. Always thought Arthur Moats was a class act. Wish him well with the Steelers.
  20. read the article 4 times and the comments once...not seeing where the troughs are going away "...Fourteen new restrooms – a nearly 30 percent increase – will be built."
  21. Re the seats - don't know about the Kelly section, but in the McGuire section many of the heating elements no longer work, can't get spare parts for them any longer, possibly just upgrading premium seats to newer modelsRe the restrooms - 30% more is a good start
