  1. Which one and where, Mt. Hope? This guy doesn't put much stock in Cromwell's theory. Sickert wasn't even on the list of suspects (at least not the one in the OP's link)
  2. Portrait of a killer: Jack the Ripper - Case Closed https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portrait_of_a_Killer:_Jack_the_Ripper—Case_Closed
  3. every year someone predicted mid round one drops to round two. Soon as I read Linstrom's profile I was hoping it would be the case for him. A lot of mocks had us taking Cordy Glenn in the first the year we got him in the second.
  4. Let's see...6 million a year for carrying a clipboard or 12 million a year to be a tackling dummy for 300 lb linemen...
  5. https://sports.yahoo.com/texas-fires-vince-young-from-parttime-job-194711992.html If you read through the comments at the end someone states that it started as a 100K/yr full time job but he kept missing work so they made it a 50K per year part time job...he couldn't even handle the demands of that. I remember listening to Donald Jones when he was on with Murph talking about a high draft pick that had the worst presence in the huddle of anyone he had ever played with. Donald never let on who it was but it had to be Vince. Mods please note I had this in college football forum and it was suggested that I move it to Stadium Wall. Will try to delete from college football, but I'm not all that tech savvy. Edit: I managed to delete from College Football, feel free to move it back (and blame Gugny who suggested it be moved to Stadium Wall?)
  6. Draft Whitner instead of Ngata Draft Hardy instead of Desean Jackson Draft Maybin instead of Orakpo Draft Spiller with Lynch and Freddie already on the roster Draft Troup instead of Gronk Trade up for TJ Grahm and pass on Russell Wilson Draft EJ Manuel Trade up for a WR that can't stay healthy in the first, then draft a tackle that can't block in the second This regime is in there so these nightmare scenarios don't happen.
  7. Welcome to national sleep deprivation week
  8. Point of Impact, Stephen Hunter (movie Shooter is based on this) anything by J P Hailey / Parnell Hall (same guy) - short, cute/funny mystery novels. Usually just a couple hundred pages.
  9. For those interested, here's a list of the first 230 (as well as some subsequent ones) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_unusual_deaths
  10. This is why these are controversial opinions ?
  11. No problem with that at all. Problem is with snafu, who wants to eliminate the preceding e in words where x is pronounced x.
  12. Problem is that when a word starts with X the X sounds like a Z.
  13. Coincidentally, Art died of pancreatic cancer.
  14. It seems most of us (yours truly included) are enthralled with threads about TV. Right now, of the first 21 threads of OTW, there are 7 separate threads about TV shows, 4 more about TV personalities. Any of the Hot for Teacher threads are my favorite.
  15. Guilty. Mind corrects these things automatically. While we're on the subject, how many of each animal did Moses take on the ark?
  16. So yeah, what CWater 10 said on page 1. They were called Cliff notes in the 70's, when did they become Coles notes?
  17. And why do these articles keep referring to the teen boys as victims?
  18. Probably a good guess. Spent the last 15 minutes researching on the world wide web, Joe Horn was the only WR name I could find that had any real success in the NFL following the CFL. Was interesting to see that Fred Biletnikoff and Chad Johnson (Ocho-Cinko) ended their careers in the CFL. Remember seeing a CFL game with former first round Bills pick Perry Tuttle five years after his NFL career had ended.
  19. Yes but I never watched 90210, Riverdale, or soap operas.
  20. https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/04/us/luke-perry-dies/index.html Never heard of him, but I hope he rests in peace.
