  1. My immediate thought was the 1940 NFL championship game where the Bears beat Washington 73-0. On Washington's first possession a receivor dropped a pass in the endzone that would have been a touchdown. The Bears dominated the rest of the game. After the game a reporter asked Redskins quarterback Sammy Baugh if the game would have ended different had Malone had caught the pass. Baugh replied "Sure. We would have lost 73-7."
  2. There is an NFL rule that #1 on all lists must be Patriots. This one is no different. 1) Jamie Collins, LB, New England Patriots
  3. He told Tampa Bay not to waste a protection on him, he wasn't going anywhere. He then told his agent not to field any offers unless Buffalo called.
  4. I used to fake it through Monday's after game day until I found a solution...started taking them off!
  5. I've used liquid soap at least for this entire century... almost forgot it still comes in bars.
  6. Beef on Weck at Bar Bill is the best I've ever had (then again I'm from Rochester.) View, well, totally dependent on the clientele at any given time. Unless you're partial to that great view of 20A from the patio. https://www.barbill.com/items/beef-on-weck
  7. Don't feel bad, I don't even know what a meme is. Guess I missed the memo when it became a thing. Would look it up, but I don't really care.
  8. Who else would drink it? Hope you're kidding, if not your man card has been suspended
  9. Lived in Rochester area (Irondequoit) my whole life, never heard of either, looked them up on line. What was funny was that the Tournedos menu gave the prices, Morton's menu just showed the calories.
  10. Here's another idea for rule change...make pass interference a reviewable call (where is that darn sarcasm emoji?)
  11. Right ankle/Right knee/Back/Right Shoulder. All pretty minor today. Left side is fine. Not bad considering 6 years of soccer, 9 years of wrestling, 20+ years of volleyball, 30+ years of golf, and 40+ years of baseball/softball.
  12. hasn't been right since the hit below. Maybe he still hasn't fully recovered. Washington's kicker has been solid for a few years now. We drafted him, an injury led to him missing the first year when we signed Dan Carpenter. Carpenter played well enough that we kept him and cut Hopkins a year later. Kind of wish we had a do-over on that one.
  13. You don't say, eh?
  14. The Eagles fans at my brother's lot (across from Hammer's) were great. Had half the Philly fire dept there (well, maybe not quite half, closer to 1/10th.) When the front came through with the rain we were all in the garage. I asked who the jr. member of the dept. was. A young man said "I am sir." I pointed to a car more than 30 yards away and said "Behind that car is a green cooler. In the bottom of that cooler are several bottles of Yuengling. Would you mind getting me one?" To which he replied "I'm on it" and returned a minute later, bottle in hand "Here you go sir!" Ahhh, if only the game had turned out better.

    Parking

Yes I noticed that. I'm in Rochester. Must be we were both writing directions at the same time.

    Parking

If you're heading East after the game, It's a walk (ever since the fence went up to block people from crossing the creek due to that drowning after a Thursday {or was it Monday?} nite game several years ago) but if you park on California, go to Ellis, then to Taylor to the end, (which at some point may change to New Taylor) right on to Buffalo/240, left on to 20A East, left on route 77 N, 77N to the Thruway. I used to go this way, waited until the end of the game then left with no traffic issues. Need to deal with a few 35 and 45 MPH zones but traffic breaks up once you get on to 20A, not really much before that either. As mentioned the walk is considerably longer since you can no longer cross the creek. If that's too much zig zagging, any lot on 20A will do, will need to deal with traffic until it breaks up at the corner of 20A and Buffalo/240. I park across the street from Hammer's. Unless you leave early (in which case why did you bother coming?) you really need to stay until 6 to avoid traffic.
  17. If the Bills and Cowboys perform the way both did against the Eagles, might be best to plan an early Thanksgiving day dinner, lest the game spoils our appetites.
  18. That appears to be the reason he hasn't retired... From this link: https://www.nbcsports.com/washington/redskins/salary-cap-expert-redskins-still-owe-alex-smith-tens-millions "His contract is structured like any other quarterback contract at his magntitude," he said. "The extension averaged 22.5 million per year. So his 2019 $15 million base salary was fully guaranteed at signing. That was to be expected. "Now, when you have contracts like this, the 2020 season sometimes is guaranteed at signing ... $16 million, 2020 the base salary, it was guaranteed at signing and it becomes fully guaranteed if he's on the roster as of the fifth day of the 2019 league year which is this upcoming St. Patrick's Day. So that's $31 million over the next two years that it's almost impossible for the Redskins to get out of. But that's the nature of the beast of a contract of this magnitude for a quarterback. " If Smith decided to retire, Corry said, the Redskins could recoup some of that money. But he doesn't see Smith giving them the chance to do so."
  19. Even if they did it probably wouldn't the Bills, the two seemingly play every year (4 times in the last 5 years)
  20. Exactly. Real speed reviews...if you can't overturn in real speed then the evidence isn't incontrovertible. Cost Detroit the game. Just terrible.
  21. I was thinking the same thing yesterday after watching a couple that obviously should have been overturned.
  22. This was not a fun fact at all. We were duped!
  23. Don't know the answer, but it certainly sounds like something he would have done. Warming up for spiking a bullet in his thigh! edit - Yup, it was him
