  1. Best to plan on staying a couple hours after the game unless you want to wait in traffic. Then again this game is a bit of an outlier, meaningless for the Bills, things might start clearing out earlier than normal. Plus I head east, if you're heading west things might be smoother if you head west when you get to Big Tree/20A. I usually leave from across the street around 6:00 or 6:30, there will still be a few cars at Hammer's.
  2. What really stinks is that Rochester and Syracuse were considered "local" markets for blackouts back when they blacked out games if they weren't sold out, but were not considered local markets for carrying games. Believe the blackout radius was 90 miles, the radius for carrying games was 60 miles. Sling TV is $15 a month, but they’re offering 40% off the first month. That means it will cost you $9 and you can cancel after that. You’ll need to choose the blue package.was
  3. Couldn't find any footage of the incident, just the aftermath. Not really much to see but here it is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=un2Fz5gFigw Caddie is Reed's brother-in-law, apparently shoved a fan who told Reed he effin sucks, resulting in a spilled beer.
  4. I beg to differ. My theory is that warranty companies, regardless of what they are for, are in business to make money. Therefore, they are going to take in more money than they give out. There may be a few times a warranty proves to be a wise investment, but, over the course of a lifetime, you'll be better off financially if you never purchase one.
  5. 9-1/2 this year, 15 for his career (including this year)
  6. Treadmill is $4000, plus the $39 a month. Presumably any running shoes will do. They advertise the monthly subscription as just a little more than one boutique fitness class costs. Not sure what makes a fitness class "boutique," but my gym membership is $20 a month which includes classes like yoga, zumba, etc. But if you have the money, spend it on whatever you want. And if your wife looks like the woman in the commercial, might be worth the cost to keep her away from guys like me in the gym.
  7. A few of his classic quotes "I asked a ref if he could give me a technical foul for thinking bad things about him. He said, of course not. I said, well, I think you stink. And he gave me a technical. You can’t trust em." "The difference between Namath and me is that when you make the money he makes, they say you’re ruggedly handsome. When you make the money I make, they say you have a big nose." "We have a very intelligent team. I’ve had clubs that when you tell a guy to go back door, he leaves the gym. Or you tell the team you’re going to have a closed practice and eight guys don’t show up." And the most inspirational: "There are 86,400 seconds in a day. It’s up to you to decide what to do with them."
  8. I would replace reason#5 with your 12th man reason. If it comes down to a battle of the kickers we're in trouble, Tucker is one of the best.
  9. 5 pages but I found no need to read past the third post, which sums it up quite nicely.
  10. "There is so much good in the worst of us, and so much bad in the best of us, that it ill behooves any of us to find fault with the rest of us." - James Truslow Adams
  11. Not all "Would Ya" posts are created equal. Wish I could un-see this.
  12. Too bad Dan Carpenter played so well when Hopkins went on IR in 2013. He's been solid for the Redskins for 5 years now.
  13. Sorry for your loss. 66 is way too young.
  14. That field was indeed horrible, same field Marino blew out his Achilles on. I was wrong about the missed field goal but right about the missed PAT. Had he made it we could have kicked a field goal after Harmon's drop and won the game in overtime, and that drop would have been a footnote rather than the thing he's remembered for.
  15. What people forget is that the touchdown before the drop Norwood missed the extra point, or we could have tied the game with a field goal in spite of the drop. Think he missed a field goal or two that day as well, in a Dr office now, no time to check. Edit: Norwood didn't miss any field goals that game, 1/1. Still, as pointed out on pg 3, if he had made the extra point a field goal would have sent the game in to overtime. Had we gone on to win, Harmon's drop would have been forgotten long ago rather than be his legacy moment.
  16. Thanks for asking, was wondering the same thing myself Thanks for the answer, maybe try not to get so impatient with those that don't tweet and don't understand the particulars of those acronyms.
  17. Wonder what percentage of the protesters used fossil fuel powered vehicles to get to and from the protests.
  18. Interesting stats. Not a big believer in coincidence, thinking ill will.
  19. Not only bye week before Thursday game, but also play the same team next game 11 days later. Home and home against divisional opponent. That way no advantage with the extra rest. That's change number 3 when I'm commissioner. Rule change number 2 is real speed instant replay. If you can't overturn in real speed, the call wasn't incontrovertible. Change number 1 of course is Super Bowl Saturday.
  20. Little late in the response, I was wondering the same thing watching this game. Isaiah Spiller's father Fred was a tight end at A&M who had quit football because of back issues. No relation to CJ, at least none that I could find.
  21. Unfortunately for the Saints, call went against them. Think the refs were trying to make a statement with this overturn. It was pass interference, but far worse violations have gone without an overturn. Cliche's got to be cliche's for a reason, most of them are true...Careful what you ask for Sean, you might get it. Sorry if this has already been posted, searched 3 times and couldn't find it.
  22. Because he can. Actually, I was thinking the same thing.
