  1. He sure looks fast, but he had some gaping holes to exploit in a lot of those highlights. I don't think he gets past the line of scrimmage very often against NFL defenses. I would be more interested to learn more about his teammates on the O-line!
  2. Based on DraftTek trade values, Buffalo would expect to gain a mid 3rd to a high 4th, assuming they also get their trade partner's next pick after 27. That's also assuming it follows the most common draft day trade-up recipe. But it could be more if some other team has a guy they really want at 27.
  3. Beane is definitely not afraid to trade up if that's what looks best.
  4. There will also be a guy named Miller back on the front four this year, FWIW.
  5. With Beane and Company, it seems like just about every option is always on the table. They certainly don't always do what we expect they will do. I think they are very good at preparing options for all kinds of scenarios, and they are willing to commit to the decisions that come from that prep. If, when the time comes, they feel like they are in a better spot by trading down, then I'm sure that's what they'll do.
  6. This is great news. Great player and fan favorite for a very reasonable price.
  7. Crazy, he didn't want to move across the country to play for a team with no plan at DC.
  8. Gabe Davis is a legit #2, and he is going to tear it up this year.
  9. The good news is Beane was able to bring in two interesting IOL prospects to compete in camp, and hopefully contribute. And there was not a lot of talent available, so good on him. Bad news is that even after adding Edwards and McGovern, pretty much nobody currently on the IOL is a bona-fide stud, unless someone is really sandbagging.
  10. You have to think that having no DC plan for a month does not help their chances of signing top free agent defensive talent. Does Bobby Wagner want to sign with a team not knowing what the deal is, if he has other offers where things were more settled?
  11. Because even Bobby Wagner gets hurt once in a while. See: Von Miller2022 for reference.
  12. I think the DL would be dangerously thin if they traded Ed. But you never know, maybe they have a plan for that.
  13. They are improving their role players beyond just special teams guys, and may have even upgraded a starting interior line spot (time will tell). For a team that is generally in good shape at the marquee positions, it's been pretty decent so far. But I think they still need to add at least two proven starters, at G or T and LB. For some reason, maybe its Morse's fragile health, I am hoping they take an interior lineman at 27, but only if a really (really) good one is available. I would much rather see Edmunds replaced by a FA vet than by a draftee for now, and I don't think WR is as bad off as everyone else seems to think (Davis in particular, I still Billieve), but that's just me.
  14. I recall he had some strong play earlier in the season, but wasn't able to sustain it later on. Oh well, as a second-stringer, he's better than a lot of the bums they've fielded on the OL in recent years.
  15. A fun guy with some nice athletic abilities, but it often seemed like his head wasn't in the game.
  16. This could be a great pickup. Sherfield put up solid #3 WR numbers while sharing targets with the most prolific receiving duo in the league. So he's a legit receiver, not just a gadget player or ST gunner that happens to be labeled a WR. He's biggish, really fast, and purportedly great on ST. He's got experience, versatility, athleticism, good character, and low mileage. I think he will serve whatever role he ends up with very well.
  17. I'm sorta joking, but sorta not. I honestly would never rule out a CB at any spot in the first round from McBeane and company. But, my hope this year is that they trade up a bit to draft a higher caliber player at a position of need. Of all the positions they need to fill, there's a good probability that one of them will have a really good prospect slip into the high teens/low twenties. 27 is usually a wee bit too late for that action. One question I have is: What would the Bills be offering for trade capital to move up? Picks and/or players? It seems like they don't have a lot of players of value that wouldn't sting if they left.
  18. You know they're going cornerback, let's just stop with the charade.
  19. Agreed. And the tap water tastes like well-traveled beach sand steeped in rotten seaweed. And I could go on and on, but I'm short on time. Homer Simpson said it best: "Florida?! But that's America's Wang!"
  20. Once again, here we have the assumption that a GM can (a) impose his will on a player, (b) make any trade happen at the drop of a hat (and always win the trade), and (c) somehow skirt the invisible hands of the open market and get the best value and outcome in every scenario. The GM simply can't control everything.
  21. Singletary, Cook, and Hines compliment each other well. Singletary can run between the tackles, Cook and Hines can go around the outside, and Hines can catch. I think it's a pretty good RB group. The biggest issue last year was that Cook took 2/3 of a season to get it together. If he comes out strong this year, Singletary will become option B and we will all be happy.
  22. Only time will tell if this really sucks or not. I can't remember a player whose value was so hard to determine.
  23. Edmunds was the centerpiece of the Leslie Frazier defensive scheme. Without Frazier, it's even harder to justify paying him that kind of coin. I'm excited to see what's next for the Bills D, but it always Sucks to watch a blue-chip, freak athlete, team captain, quarterback of the defense just walk out the door for no compensation whatsoever. Especially at such a young age. As Bills fans, I think we all know what's coming next - In Chicago, Edmunds blossoms into the greatest LB of his generation for the next ten years. Wins 3 titles and multiple DPOYs. Key to the city, free kielbasa for life.
  24. Seems like a lot of money for a guy who hasn't rrrrrreeeeeaaaallly proven himself a bona fide startet yet, but OK.
  25. A pretty solid deal for Carolina; the #1 overall pick is a very expensive prize, and that's about as little as you could hope to pay for it.
