Where I generally differed from you and ScottLaw was that I did not feel -- as you and Scott seemed to -- that it was the ONLY way forward, and that not doing so would constitute an outright, unforgivable mistake by Beane. Given that the Bills offense is currently ranked 2nd in PPG 11 games into the season, and that the defense is ranked 5th in PPG allowed despite being absolutely ravaged by injuries, I don't feel I was too far off base.

    I do admit that I poked fun at you and ScottLaw about the concerns over the outside WR positions. I felt that Gabriel Davis would step up and become a viable #2. For all of the vitriol thrown his way this season, Davis is currently ranked 23rd in the league in receiving yards and has as many receiving TDs as Mark Andrews or Justin Jefferson do.

    Where I thought they could use help in terms of weaponry -- and I still feel this way -- is in the slot. I DID think that between McKenzie, Crowder, and Shakir, one of them would step up. I admit to being totally wrong in this case. Obviously, none of them has.

    when will we run out of things to criticize about an 8-3 team gutting out wins with half its starting defense, half its oline and its possession receiver out?

    The difference? Many of them have been to key players unlike the last several years.

     

     

    So the excuses the Bills are somehow more injured than every other team needs to stop. They are STILL one of the least injured teams in the NFL even with what seems like a crazy rash of injuries...we just don't see all the players out for other teams because we don't follow them very closely.

     

    Injuries to non key players/starters would help as well.

    What’s the excuse….they are are 8-3 and a tick away from the one seed

    That was the thought…until everyone can see 17 is already too much….18 with two byes and 2 preseasons? …what a March Super Bowl ?

    I do think 2 preseason games, 18 regular season games and 2 bye weeks is where this is going though.  I’d be for it.  
     

    NFL product is as good as ever, but it does seem injuries are on the rise for most teams… unless we’re just paying more attention with fantasy/popularity of the league etc. 

    18 regular season games? How about 16 over 18 weeks

    Edmunds hurt, he's a suspect player.  Rousseau hurt but we have spent his many 1st and 2nd picks on DLine?? 

     

    We went into the year planning to start Dane Jackson. We drafted Elam in the first. We went into the year with them planned as our starters, that's what we decided to do. 

     

     

    And we are half a game out of the 1 seed

    We lost to the mighty Vikings… they got DESTROYED at home by Dallas 40-3 !!! 
     

    Tennessee and Baltimore are always around. 
     

    In a season where we were the great take for the SB everything happened: injuries first, then Allen lost, then mistakes after mistakes that costed us a couple of games. 
     

    And now, if we find again our best football, the very chance to be another time in KC in the AFCC, not at home. 
     

    I can’t believe that everything go always fine for those pigs. Always ! 🤬

     

    Sorry for this rant guys, but i’m very nauseated for all the “luck” we always DON’T have.
