  1. Draft position makes no difference and the posts and history show it: - "We shouldn't have drafted Dareus because JJ Watt went later"...you can say this with every pick except the absolute home runs - so it makes no difference where you draft then. - "We needed to lose out more to get a better pick" be be countered with...."we missed out on kapernick and Wilson who were drafted in the third" - We have high picks that were atrocious - Maybin - and later round and UDFA's that are great - Kiko and Robey Just draft well - if we can replicate this years draft 2-3 more times we will be in a solid position (I am thinking EJ pans out)....look at a Polian drafts....there is a reason why he went to the Super Bowl everywhere he went - he could draft well wherever he went and no matter what position he was drafting in.... Also - Manziel.....that dude is not going to last half a season....he ways like 180 pounds, wet, with rocks in his pockets....
  2. Manziel is too small to last - Dont see the others as clearly better than EJ. FWIW EJ was ALWAYS a project - and he is pretty much exactly as ordered. Despite that aspect that your patience is worn out.....aint gonna change the picture. Cant see the Bills using a1-3 rounder on a QB.
  3. And what great experience are you drawing on to form this insight?
  4. Geno Smith was awful today....EJ was not....he was a damn good rookie qb in his seventh game who didnt make any big mistakes, completed 63 percent of his throws and put his team in spot to win with his play not just once but twice with the game on the line. ....soe of your comments are insightful. Others not so much....
  5. Damn. We shoulda got Shanahan.......oh wait....should got Nick Saban he was awesome in Miami.....oh wait......should got Pete Carrol first time around......oh wait .....oh we should have Tomlin.....oh wait he stinks now..... marrone is fine. You start building...
  6. Different sports...same mentality...if the Bills have the mentality that TO is a negative or a road game....whelp there goes your three point home field advantage...if they think its home game and want to go kick arse......take your pick....
  7. Hogwash! Jack Nicklaus said as soon as heard someone complain about the course...he would knew they had no chance to win. Heard the same carp from Sully and Bucky - well Sully - Embrace the damn game and go win it - complain that they are going to hurt and Atlanta has a perfect set up because its a dome and not the Ralph....you are only giving yourself excuses....
  8. Wow...the aspect in this case that gives me pause is she went to the hospital, reported an assault, and had a rape examination done. I would think that this is not pleasent and not something that would be undertaken unless the girl truly felt assaulted.
  9. 20 of 28 is 71.4 percent College percentage something like 68 - sorry 67 - percent His receivers must have long arms with sticky hands....
  10. My kids played Little Loop with Kelso's kid - In some games our entire offense consisted of Cody's ability to strip sack people and run the ball back for TD's..... Kiko and Mack......
  11. Sweet baby Jesus you are right - it seems most of the fanbase as well as dope and his lapdog forgot the whole breakdown on EJ when we drafted him "Not the most NFL ready QBin the draft - but has the upside potential - needs further development and could/should become a top tier QB given time". Dope/Lapdog spent a whole show describing on how the Pitt game is the whole final referendumon EJ.....yikes...... Looks to me that EJ is EXACTLY what was expected of him when he was drafted.....not the most polished...needs developmnet...he has shown patches of poise and leadership as well as the skills that top QB's have. He had basically no training camp and very little practice......Brees took 4 years, Rodgers took 3, JK took 4-5, now we are 5 games into a career......
  12. Quite possibly the most genius post ever....is the OP joking? being sarcastic? Or is the OP ACTUALLY positing that #SJ13 goofed up by getting open....by being too good! Having read thru I can't decide!
  13. I dont get the Marrone hate from the OP....I see a TEAM gelling....much like the 87 then 88 teams. i think 86 Bills went 4-12, then the strike season was 87...right? marrone has the team doing alot of good things...hitting on more and more cylinders every week...Marrone DID get Pettine, the O got almost 500 yards with a 4 th string qb! Sheesh.... seriously what other team would be doing well with a rookie UDFA 4 deep at the helm....I am not down at all on these Bills I think next year is going to be ....whelp kinda like the 89 team
  14. The only way the Bills get one of those guys is to draft in the top 10....Jax, Vikes, Cards, Eagles, Texans, Bucs all have NO QB's worthy on their roster....
  15. He can feel all he wants about Mallet - but I would bet he is not Brady 2 - the Pats hit the lottery once....BB is just another coach (as are most coaches - ask Shanny) with an average QB
  16. Tic Toc Tic Toc......as soon as Brady is done I am quite sure Bellicheck will leave too....he is not going to hang around a 6-10 team....The pats have this year....next year is going to be hard for them to cruise through the AFC east...the Bills are going to be more than just the tough out they are this year and Geno - if he is good Geno more than bad Geno could make the Jets tough...AND Brady is another year older..... as long as the Fish stick with Tanny......Tic Toc Tic Toc
  17. Yes, I watched a team missing their top 2 quarterbacks, missing the most electric runner in the league, their #1reciever gimped, their #2 rb gimped, their best cb coming off a hand injury, starting 2-3 rookie recievers, two rookie cb's and a rookie lb, in addition to a two kickers obtained as free agents. They don't have the personnel to play with NO away. Most out of town pundits think Marrone is doing a great job - I think he has his team ready to play and be competitive every week. Put that injury and personnel list into NO and bring them here....
  18. I agree with the OP. Sheesh i have been watching the Bills for almost 40 years .....what is the use in going thru a game expecting the worst? Fire this guy, Marrone is lost, trade Williams, my personal favorite on this board is the constant looking back on players no longer with the team Levitre, Whitner, etc.....its like a guy who cant get over his old girlfriend and stalks her on the web.....constantly seeing what she is up to.....like nothing ever good is going to come again. Bills are in a good spot, Pats r finally unraveling - check out TB stats....we just beat the fish, the Jets r the Jets ......Bilies are finally getting some building blocks.....cheer up for cripe sake;)
  19. Most back-ups are a big drop. Manuel is 1, Lewis is 2, OBD will decide on Tuel or Flynn (they both could get cut), Kolbs career is over, and Dixon or Tuel is on practice squad.
  20. The error lies not in going for it but rather the timing. The Bills had just rolled down the field at the end of the first and had 22 seconds left on the clock after - I think - first down. The Cinci line was gassed and that was the time to punch it in - instead we let the clock run ou on the quarter, gave Cinci - what 3-4 minutes to get their wind - and we all know what happened.
  21. Good comments - this was my first game since the OT loss to the Cowboys - and in my intermittent attendance I realize I have not seen the Bills win in person since the 1992 AFC Championship game. I got to sit in a corp box with the windows sealed - I think the "End Zone Club" - it stunk, no noise, there were 300 seats and maybe 60 people....my minor observations: I think the Bills made a mistake by letting the clock run out at the end of the first. Cinci was tired, we had them on their heels - should have punched it in. The turn gave them a chance to catch their breath. With no fan noise - got to hear Kelso's comments: Kelso can be tough because every Bill seems to be "outstanding" on every play but the one thing that he caught was the Bills were definitely set up defensively to stop passes to WR's opening themselves up to the run - this continued to the 4th - when we finally stacked the line. Clearly - clearly - our offense has to get bigger in what it is trying to do. Teams are on to our "small ball" offense and its actually impressive that we have scored 20+ in every game - open it up!!
  22. My sister in law was on a flight to Las Vegas yesterday - Stevie Johnson was 2 rows back.
