  1. We better pray it's not this guy that ends of owning the Bills. If this happens, it sounds like he will run them into the ground in a short period of time, then sell again.
  2. The only reason Spiller is not getting more touches or production is because we have Fred Jackson. If you were the coach, would you take Fred out to allow Spiller to produce more? I don't think so. He is a solid back and was a good pick, it's just that Nix and Gailey did not realize what they had in Fred Jackson. Now that they know, Spiller won't get much of a chance. Doesn't mean he doesn't have talent, just a case of wrong place, wrong time. Given a starting job, I have no doubt he would do just fine. I am glad we have him as insurance and to give Fred a breather now and then.
  3. Defensive pressure causes turnovers. It is not luck in any way shape or form. Just enjoy the success instead of waiting for it to end. If you can't enjoy success when it happens, then why watch at all? Just find another team. And by the way, every team has flaws. If you find one without any, please let us all know.
  4. Couldn't agree more. I was at the game and this is a very good football team. No two ways about it. They were clearly the better team. This team is going to continue to win, so hopefully the naysayers will get used to it sooner rather than later.
  5. So myself, my son and his girlfriend attended the game yesterday. We flew in from Newfoundland and it was Amanda's first ever NFL game. It was my first live game since the AFC Championship game in 1991 and I had forgotten how much fun game day is at the Ralph. We started out in the tailgate lots and ran into people from Oklahoma that went to the same high school as my son. We proceeded into the stadium and what a game to watch. Couldn't have asked for a more exciting game and the crowd was electric. The party continued after the game back out in the tailgate lots. What a tremendous atmosphere for a football game. And to the dude that handed me a cold beer through my open window on the way out of the lot, thanks bra, it couldn't have tasted sweeter.
  6. You're right, I am going to give you some flak. I was at the game yesterday and the Bills were clearly the better team. What matters is the left hand column in the standings and the more wins they get the better their chances of winning a playoff spot. They will win games differently based on the opposition. If you thought that the Bills or anyone else for that matter was going to completely shut down the Patriots and Eagles offenses, then you are seriously misguided. The fact is they had four picks, which is the most anyone has ever gotten on Vick. That was a good defensive effort regardless of how many points they allowed. They made plays when they needed to and they won the game. That is what matters. Nothing else.
  7. When a game is officiated this poorly, it is no coincidence. There are millions of dollars at stake every week in both legal and illegal betting. I am not a conspiracy theorist by any means, but this game sure looked shady. And yes, the Bills played poorly, but the fact is that they probably still would have won if the game had been officiated correctly.
  8. Couldn't agree more. I tried all morning to explain this on this board yesterday and got absolutely nowhere.
  9. Now that's what I'm talking about. This thread could use a little more humor.
  10. Go look up the meaning of analogy. He did not say that Obama in any way was like Hitler. He said that Obama and Boehner playing golf together would be like Hitler playing with Netanyahu. That means it wouldn't make sense because they have such diametrically opposed views. That is what an analogy does. It is not to be taken literally. And did you really refer to me as "Rook"? Really? At least you managed to make me laugh. Maybe we ought to leave it at that.
  11. Piss off. Because I disagree with your interpretation of what he said doesn't make me stupid. I heard what he said and I choose to believe that he is just stupid, rather than malicious. Huge difference. And why don't you stop posting. You are just showing your ignorance each time you do.
  12. I agree, we're all friends. And I agree, the President works for us. I hope that when I disagree with someone's opinion that they don't take it personally. I have nothing against anyone on this board. It is a great place to express our opinions about our football team. This thread just struck a chord with me.
  13. You can disagree with me all you want, but don't tell me what I should or shouldn't believe. I disagree with your opinion of what he was saying. I have every right to do so. He may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but Williams did nothing wrong. He expressed his opinion which he has every right to do. Just like you do.
  14. We obviously are not going to agree on this, so further discussion is rather pointless. Your implication that Bush's points of view were not well thought out or based on reason tell me all I need to know. I wish you nothing but the best in your life, but our politics are diametrically opposed. We could go back and forth all day, but I still stand by the fact that Hank Williams Jr. did nothing wrong and does not deserve to be punished for making an analogy.
  15. No, the difference is that the Dixie Chicks were apologizing for being American to a foreign audience on foreign soil. Hank Williams Jr. was making an analogy. He wasn't comparing Obama to Hitler. He was saying that Obama playing golf with Boehner was analogous to Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu, because in each case the two had diametrically opposed points of view. That is what an analogy is. It doesn't mean that he was saying that Obama is like Hitler. You are right that ESPN has the right to pull the song, but by doing so, they also risk offending people who realize how ridiculous their actions are. Therefore, making such a move could turn out to be bad for business.
  16. Do you know what an analogy is? He wasn't comparing Obama to Hitler. He was saying that Obama and Boehner playing golf together would be analogous to Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu because in each case the two parties have diametrically opposing points of view. By the way, so sorry you had to "endure" 8 years of being led by a man with as much moral courage in his little finger as Obama has in his entire body. He stood firm for what he believes in. So far in 4 years, I still don't know what Obama stands for because he changes his mind every five minutes.
  17. Thank you for your service, but if you watch the interview, he was definitely trying to make a joke. Nobody ever said Hank Williams Jr. was a rocket scientist. He was saying that he didn't understand how two people with such diametrically opposing views could solve anything by playing golf together. It was an analogy. He was describing how different they were. I don't believe for one minute that Hank Williams Jr. did anything to besmirch the memory of veterans. He was trying to be funny. I'm glad that you noticed. I did that on purpose. It's called sarcasm.
  18. Couldn't agree more. NBC is so far left they can't even reach Hawaii. Funny how liberals always have to resort to name calling like "teabaggers" and "fascist news" when describing people with points of view that they disagree with. Then they talk about how they believe in diversity and tolerance. What a bunch of hypocrites. It was a joke you retard. He was joking. The Dixie Chicks were not. And I spent 23 years of my life defending Americans right to free speech. I believe the Dixie Chicks have a right to say what they did. That doesn't mean that I have to agree with it or like it.
  19. The problem with what the Dixie Chicks did was that they did it overseas for some cheap applause. Bet they would not have been so anxious to do that back in Texas. Noone deserves death threats, but there is a huge difference in what they did and what Hank Williams Jr. did. In America, we have the right to express our opinions and have dialogues about our differences, but to apologize for being American to a foreign audience is quite a different matter.
  20. Sorry, but coaches have to put players in situations where they can succeed. Giving the ball to C.J. Spiller in short yardage and asking him to run straight ahead is just dumb. He is not that kind of back and Gailey has done it at least 4 times in the last two weeks. Get the guy the ball in space where he can run. Or use Brad Smith as the OP suggests. Gailey is mostly a very good play caller, but these short yardage calls just don't make any sense.
  21. Can't agree. This is a game that the Bills could have and should have won. The fact that they couldn't pull it off speaks volumes. This team still has to learn how to win these kinds of games. They had lots of chances and didn't execute. I don't believe they will beat Philly either. I would have taken 4-1 any day, but I don't think they will win and 3-2 to me just spells another mediocre season. I thought for sure we would make the playoffs after that 3-0 start, but after watching them today they sure don't look like a playoff caliber team.
  22. The entire team stunk up the joint. The officiating was crap, the offense did not execute and the defense was horrible. Terrible game to watch because it was obvious Buffalo could have and should have won. This one will come back to haunt us.
  23. I agree, too many calls against us today that went against us to be coincidence. Someone had this game in the bag for the Bengals. There is no way that so many calls could be so obviously wrong for it to be an accident.
  24. I agree with almost everyone. This was a total team loss. Neither the offense or defense played well today. This was a game they should have won and needed to win if they are going to contend for a playoff berth. They pissed away a golden opportunity. This team still has a long way to go. Next week will be no picnic either. This one was very disheartening. Too many missed tackles, dropped balls and inability to convert second and short yardage situations. A poor performance all the way around.
  25. Couldn't agree more. Spiller has all kinds of ability. The only reason he isn't getting more touches is because we have Fred Jackson. Chan knows what he's doing. He will find ways to get Spiller the ball and he will make plays. It's a long season. We have only played three games. Stay tuned.
