  1. Let's see what they show this week. If they perform anything like they did the past two weeks, any chance of a playoff birth is over. Losing those two very winnable games at Cincinnati and New York are killing them now. You just can't afford to lose games that are winnable. Now they have to win almost every game to make the playoffs and the way they have been playing, I just don't see it. We'll see which team shows up on Sunday and take it from there. And they still have to prove they can beat the Jets if they have any hope of making the playoffs. The team is better this year for sure, but I'm not convinced that they are over the hump yet.
  2. Afraid so. I like the Yankees, Notre Dame and Oklahoma college football, Sabres hockey, boxing and MMA. The only difference is that as I get older, losses don't bother me as much. Still hate when my teams lose, but it's not life and death like it used to be. As far as the NBA is concerned, I could care less. Haven't watched a game in years even though I played basketball growing up and in High School. That stuff they pass off as professional basketball these days is just a higher level of what you see on the playground.
  3. Really? They needed bulletin board material? They were so much better than Buffalo on Sunday that it would not have made the least bit of difference what anyone on either side said or did. They were going to hand the Bills their asses anyway.
  4. I think we can hold off on paying Stevie. If he continues to produce, then fine, pay him. If not, there have been plenty of guys in this league that looked good for a little while, then faded fast. Let's see if he is one of them before paying him big money.
  5. Couldn't agree more. They need to make adjustments both offensively and defensively. It is not just execution. They are not executing because opposing defenses are not letting them execute. Time to switch up what you are doing when it repeatedly doesn't work.
  6. I think he has it exactly right. Chan needs to adjust to this and he has failed to do so. Time to mix things up offensively. The Defens? I have no clue where to got with that group. I would sit both Florence and McKelvin. What could possibly happen that's worse than what we've seen? Just replace them with backups and see what happens.
  7. I agree that minus the past two weeks they have been fun to watch. I was at the Eagles game and they looked like a very good football team. Not sure exactly what has happened to them the past two weeks. They are playing scared on both offense and defense. I also agree they are getting better, just not there yet. I do agree with the people that are calling for Edwards head. He needs to go. Even when they were winning, they couldn't stop anyone unless it was by interception. I will continue to watch the rest of the way and hope for the best, but I am not overly optimistic about winning too many games the rest of the way.
  8. Well at least you have some suggestions. I am at a loss after watching this pathetic excuse for a football team the past two weeks. I wouldn't even know where to begin to fix this mess.
  9. I believe what we have been seeing from Fitz the past couple of weeks is him trying to justify the contract. It happens. Players sign big contracts and then they just try too hard to justify them and they play poorly. I think he will settle back in and play some good football before the season is over. The Defense on the other hand? Not so sure what can be done about this bunch. Very worried going forward.
  10. I have seen absolutely nothing in the past two weeks to indicate that this team is capable of beating anybody and that includes Miami. I see them losing all three of these road games. They have looked terrible on the road this season. Not to mention the debacle at home against the Jets. Terrible the way this team has unraveled.
  11. I agree. The team is better than they were last year, but still not quite ready to contend. Defense needs a big infusion of talent and perhaps a new coordinator. Fitz has played poorly after signing the extension and I kind of feared that he would. Sometimes when players sign a big contract, they try a bit too hard and tend to press. I think that's what we're seeing. No excuse for the defense today. They were horrible. I can't predict what the final record will be, but I don't believe we will make the playoffs after what I've seen the past two weeks. Still, I believe they are on the right track, just not there yet.
  12. I was afraid of this. 21-0 and we look absolutely laughable. I'm not sure what happened after that Washington game, but this team has now failed to show up for two straight weeks. They are making the Cowboys and Jets look way better than they are. This team needs to get it's **** together and quickly. They will not win this game, but at least maybe they can start to play some football. We'll see.
  13. Calling him average is giving him way too mush credit. Cowherd is terrible. All he does is whine. Very annoying. I haven't listened to him in years.
  14. Couldn't agree more. Fans have every right to be upset with that pitiful performance on Sunday. It doesn't mean that they aren't "real" fans. It just means they were disgusted by what they saw. It was a huge game and not only did they lose, they were pushed around and made fun of. I wouldn't expect "real fans" to be extremely happy about that.
  15. Really? Total BS? Did you watch the game. The Jets were better in every single phase of the game. They were clearly the better team. I agree that the Bills are getting better, but they are not as good as the Jets yet.
  16. Gotta respectfully disagree. The Bills were very lucky that the Jets made so many mistakes or it could have been a blowout early. The Bills were dominated in every phase of the game. They have not been able to solve the Jets at all under Rex Ryan and I do not expect that to change. Yesterday was their best opportunity to beat them and they failed miserably. Expect more of the same when the two teams meet again. The Jets know that they own this team and Buffalo has done nothing to dispel that confidence. The Jets will pulvarize this team when they meet again. The Bills are a better team this year than last, but just not good enough yet.
  17. Based on yesterday, I don't think this team is capable of beating the Jets. Especially at NY. The Jets own the Bills and have for the past two seasons. I don't see the result being any different in 3 weeks time. This team needs to man up next week in Dallas and show the league that they aren't the sissies that the Jets made them out to be. Then they need to beat the Jets at home. Again, based on what I saw yesterday, I am not confident that they can do it.
  18. Saw this quote in the NY Post. "As far as the Jets are concerned, the AFC East will not be won in Upstate New York. “It’s still a two-team race,” Pace said. “It’s still just the Jets and Patriots. [The Bills are] doing well, but sometimes the spotlight is big. I think the Jets and the Patriots can handle that spotlight." Judging by the way the Jets completely dominated this game, he may be right. I'm hoping the Bills can bounce back this week in Dallas, but the Cowboys are every bit as good as the Giants and that game didn't work out too well for the Bills. They still haven't proven that they can beat a good team on the road. This week's game is a must win after yesterday's debacle.
  19. This was a thorough beat down. Every single player and coach should be ashamed. To not show up for an important game like this is inexcusable. I had a bad feeling about this one, but I was hoping for the best. What this game showed is that the Bills have improved this year, but that they have a long way to go if they are truly going to compete with good teams. It also showed why you can not give away winnable games on the road. Both the Giants and Bengals games could have and should have been wins and they pissed them away. Now with this loss, the first real time they have been outclassed all year, the Bills will have to really get their act together in a hurry if they are going to make the playoffs. Maybe Bill Cowher was right. He said before the game that the Bills would lose and that they would not make the playoffs. When he said it, I thought he was wrong, but now I'm not so sure. Terrible game all the way around. The play calling was bad. The execution was bad. The defense was bad. We'll see next week what this team is really made of.
  20. Why so serious?????????
  21. Long way to go. Let's just hope we can continue to play well and make the playoffs. Then we'll see where it takes us. Not worried at all about the Super Bowl at this point in the season. Too many games left to be played.
  22. Who knew it was so simple? Apparently we have no chance at all. I forgot we only have one player on this team.
  23. Agree this is a big game. Jets looked pretty good that last game before their bye week. We need to get off to a fast start in this one, because if we fall behind early as has been the habit in our two losses, it could get ugly. I think this is a winnable game though, particularly at home. Just got to bring the A game.
  24. And Ralph is cheap!
