  1. There is absolutely zero chance that the team will draft LB's with each of their first three picks. It just isn't going to happen. I say probably the grab a LB in rd 2, BPA in round 1 and OT in rd 3.
  2. Saw this in another thread yesterday. I wonder if NE had signed him would he be singing the same song. Of course this makes the Bills better. Great signing by the Bills. If we had any defense at all, we would have beat NE twice last year.
  3. He may not be an idiot, but his statement sounds like sour grapes to me. To say that the Bills did not get better by signing Mario Williams is an idiotic statement. Of course they did.
  4. I'm growing bored with this nonsense. Either sign the contract or get the !@#$ out. It's been the longest free agent visit in history. Would love to have him, but my world will not end if he doesn't sign. Just tired of all the hype surrounding this. Get it over with one way or the other.
  5. The fact that he didn't sign last night speaks volumes. He isn't going to sign in Buffalo. Too bad. It would have been huge, but my guess is he leaves today and signs somewhere else. Business as usual. Not the team's fault, but a shame nonetheless.
  6. Not too upset about Meacham going to San Diego although he would have been a nice addition. The fact that Williams did not sign last night tells me that he probably won't. So once again, we come up short. Too bad as signing Williams would have been huge.
  7. I think Jackson is a better possibility of actually signing with the Bills than Williams. I'd say Jackson and one of the second tier DE or OLB's. That wouldn't be too bad IMO.
  8. One season on a very good team does not prove that Cassel was a good QB. Yes, I agree that a QB has a better chance of winning games when the talent around him is better. Good QB's manage to make their team mates more successful and can LEAD their team to wins in close games however. I contend that it doesn't matter who you put around Fitz. He will make mistakes that will cost his team games. He has proven that he will do that. It's okay if you don't agree with that premise, but I am basing it on watching him perform in games and his actual record as a starter. From what I can gather, he is a good guy and the team enjoys playing with him. I just believe he has some fatal flaws in his game and they will continue to surface. And by the way it's spelled LED when using it in the past tense.
  9. QB's are largely measured by their ability to LEAD their team to win football games. Fitzpatrick has not proven that he can do that. In fact he has proven that he is pretty good at LEADING his teams to losses.
  10. Fitz's record as a starter? 19 wins, 33 losses. Looks like a proven loser to me. Numbers don't lie. He is what his record says he is.
  11. Until he proves that he can post a winning record for an entire season and lead this team to the playoffs, Fitz is fair game for criticism. If he was too hurt to play and he was hurting the team (because he WAS hurting the team) then he should have sat on the bench and healed. I don't care who they put in to replace him, anyone can "lead" a team to seven straight losses. Many of those losses were a direct result of his poor play. Yes, the defense sucked, but guess what? They sucked all year, even when they were winning. I am not sold on Fitz as a starter and I do not hate him. He seems like a good guy and his team mates love him. That's all well and good, but it has nothing to do with being a competent QB. He is a smart guy and reads defenses well. The problem is that his body often can't cash the checks his mind is writing. I root for him like every fan, but I am also a realist. As a famous man once said "Don't tell me about the labor pains, just show me the baby."
  12. I'm throwing the BS flag on this one. "Often the idiot caller actually extends the greeting into a personal conversation." Really? The horror! God forbid two individuals should have a "personal conversation". I have a news flash for you. ALL conversations are personal. Listening to two people display courtesy to one another is a rarity these days, I'll give you that, but it is never wrong under any circumstances. I listen to Sirius NFL radio all the time and the hosts and callers often know one another from previous calls. They exchange pleasantries, talk about family and friends and then get on with the football discussion. Nothing in the world wrong with that and it often adds some humor to the discussion and makes the conversation more "personal" and interesting.
  13. You're kidding right? Are you really comparing Fitz with Kelly, Montana and Young? I stopped reading after that. I couldn't read the rest because I was laughing too hard.
  14. Stay thirsty my friends.
  15. No one knows what it's like To feel these feelings Like I do And I blame you Crayonz!
  16. When I drink alone.....I prefer to be by myself.
  17. This could become a self fulfilling prophecy. If people don't want the team to move, they should quit starting rumors that it will. As of right now, there are no plans to move this team. Speculating in my opinion only increases the possibility as it prepares the market for the loss of their team. This kind of thing smacks of paranoia. Relax and enjoy your football team.
  18. Keep dreaming. Fitzpatrick stunk up the joint for that entire 7 game losing streak. He is not taking this team anywhere. We need to draft a QB.
  19. This in a nutshell is exactly the problem with this team. They don't believe they can win. They are not mentally tough. They lost so many close games this year because they expected to lose. That is why Fitz isn't the guy. He should never, ever allow his teammates to have that mentality. What Fitz said is exactly what I suspected. As long as he is the QB of this team, they will continue to lose close winnable games. It shouldn't take years of learning to believe you can win football games. If you don't have that mentality already, you never will.
  20. I say no. A team that loses 8 straight games one year and 7 straight the next has some serious issues. The issues are with a coaching staff that cannot get the team over the hump and cannot win close winnable games. They lost too many of these type games the past two years and will continue to as long as they have the current coaching staff. I think Chan Gailey is too inflexible in his offensive approach and does not adjust to what defenses are doing. This cost them in those close games the past two years and will continue to. I was a big supporter last year and early this year, but when the team completely collapsed this year, I had to take a look at why. I believe it is Gailey's fault and as long as he is coach, this team has no shot at getting over the hump and into the playoffs. Mental toughness is something that helps teams win those close ones and it comes from the coach. He doesn't seem to have the ability to instill this in his players.
  21. C'mon man, he didn't fumble the ball. Given the opportunity, the niners very well might have won in OT.
  22. Although I don't agree with all of your post. The part about Nix is debatable. I agree wholeheartedly about the losing streak. Good football teams do not lose 7 straight games, regardless of who is injured. Good football teams find ways to win close winnable games. This team found a new way to lose each week except for the times when they failed to show up at all.
  23. Last year, Casey Matthews had 30 tackles and 1 Sack. Searcy had 26 tackles and an INT. Our other 4th Rounder Hairston started 7 games at LT and did a credible job. I'll take both of those picks any day.
  24. Not buying any of that except the second point. The fact is that the Giants played a better game and were the better team last night. I don't think the layoff had anything to do with it. I also don't buy the flat theory or the OC being off his game. The play calling was fine, the Giants D just didn't let them execute. The Giants have always had the talent, now they are finally putting it all together at the right time. I predict they beat SF and then NE in the Super Bowl.
  25. Not sure why you hate them, but I will always be a Bills fan. I will always hope for the best, year in and year out, week in and week out. They are my team and every other team really doesn't matter much to me. The playoffs are entertaining, but even when the Bills lose, I would rather watch them.
