It's all relative. I live in Newfoundland and the Harmonized Sales Tax (HST) is 13%. In Erie County the rate for NYS and county tax combined is 8.75%. Don't ask me where all that money goes, because the roads are crap and the schools are crap and we don't have a stadium to subsidize.

I think you missed my point. My point was that a person is either a Christian or they aren't. Certainly different denominations practice different ways to worship. I still fail to see how if a school is run by Evangelical Christians vs. Jesuits has any impact whatsoever on what kind of football player a kid is. Am I missing something?

I wasn't looking for an apology, but the post is not entirely about football. Otherwise, why bother even mentioning that they were from Christian schools? And I fail to see the distinction between Evangelical Christians and those of any other kind. A person either is a Christian or they aren't. A University either is run by Christians or it isn't. I really fail to see the point of the post, frankly. They are football players. They are either good football players or they aren't, just like all the rest of the football players from every other school.

So you're saying that Notre Dame is not a Christian University? And Boston College? I could name a few more that are Jesuit or Benedictine schools, but you get the idea. We Catholics are Christians, just in case you forgot.

I could not agree more. In the past two seasons, this team has had losing streaks of 8 and 7 games respectively. In each case, Gailey could not find a way to get them out of their funk. This season the failure was not countering when opposing defenses took away those short slants that were working early in the year. I think they are definitely more entertaining to watch than during the Jauron years, but they haven't shown me the mental toughness when things get difficult. Part of that IMO is coaching. I am looking forward to the season, just like every year, but I am cautiously optimistic.

I agree. If that is real, or close to it, then I see a whole bunch of very winnable games on that schedule. We can only hope.

I repeat, the jersey is almost identical to last year. If you don't like it, then fine don't buy it, but it isn't very much different than the one they had last year. And yes, I'm sure that the NFL fielded jerseys for all teams that are going to cause players to choke and suffer crushed windpipes. That statement alone makes me laugh.

I'm calling BS on this one. The collar looks fine. Get over yourself. The jersey looks almost exactly like last year. They still have one of the best looking uniforms in the league. I have looked at it several times and I don't see your crew neck shirt description at all. The jerseys are badass.

We currently have one LT on our roster. What about that do you not understand? Hairston did a decent job last year, but what if he got hurt? This O line needs depth and I wouldn't be surprised if they added more than one guy who can play LT in the draft. It clearly is a position of need.

It looks just fine. It's a couple of patches of white added to last year's jersey. No big whoop.

I can't believe all of the hysterics about a couple of white stripes on the collar. My guess is that they had a choice between this and that ugly ring around the collar that the Patsies have. I prefer this.

Williams is a baller. He was thrust into a situation because of injuries and he made some mistakes early. By the end of the season, he was really good and he will continue to get better.

I like this one. I suggested Stampede or Stampeders in a previous thread. At least it has a Buffalo connection and fits with the charging Buffalo.

Couldn't agree more. Good football teams do not lose seven straight games. They do not disappear when adversity strikes. They rise to the occasion.
