Well, let's just see how the season goes. This team had lots of holes and I think filling every single one of them in one off season is a bit much to ask. I think they did an excellent job of recognizing where they needed help and trying to address those needs. Expecting them to address every single need from a team that went 6-10 and was putrid on defense the whole season is asking a bit much. I believe that the off season was a success and we'll see how it plays out on the field.

I think we all hope he can improve. He shows flashes of being really good and then he makes some really bad throws at very inopportune times. Hopefully the coaching will help his mechanics and he can get better.

OK, I 'll bite. The Bills offense finished fourteenth in the league with 23.3 Points per game. That means they were better than 18 other teams. No reason to believe that this offense won't get better this year with everyone healthy. The problem with this team last year was not the offense, it was the defense. That defense has been hugely upgraded through free agency and the draft. No reason to believe they won't be better as well. Finally, I see no relevance in how a player came to be on the roster. It is how they have performed since they got there that matters. All of the above lead me to believe this team is headed in the right direction. I have no reason to believe otherwise.

What??? Better than Andre Reed? Better than James Lofton? I could go on, but you get the idea. Moulds was good, no doubt about it, but the greatest Bills receiver ever? I don't think so. I respect your opinion, but I totally disagree.

The 2012 team is undefeated. None of those other teams were undefeated.

Tebow was 8-5 as a starter and lost four of his last five. He still has a long way to go to prove he can be a winning NFL QB. Did you see his "performance" against the Bills? VY has been to two Pro Bowls and has had some success in the league over a sustained period. I'll take VY on my team as a backup any day.

I agree. We need to see some results at some point. I,like you, am excited about the direction these guys are headed. Whether things pan out remains to be seen, but certainly hiring Polian at this point would be silly.

Couldn't agree more. He is our player, so let's hope he can be healthy and productive. I can't see any reason to do anything else.

I grew up in Hornell as well. What year did you graduate?

Grew up in Hornell, joined the Army and lived in Washington State, Germany (twice), Oklahoma (twice), back to western NY as a Recruiter, Alaska, New Mexico. Now living in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and this is the last stop for me. Came down to Orchard Park for the Eagles game last year and will return on occasion to catch a game live. Bills fan since they came into the AFL. My sister went to Buff State and brought me home a team poster that first year. I was hooked.

The good news is that he'll be making those hits for us from now on. Can't wait to see him lay one on Welker.

I can't believe there is actually a thread devoted to this subject, but since there is, I would kind of like to know what the OP has in mind. What would you prefer? Perhaps something like "Well, we went back and watched a digital rendering of actual events and we think the guy can play." Please, when people say they watched "tape" they mean they watched game recordings or game "film". I think everyone pretty much understands that.

I really have to disagree with you about Wilson. He is an absolute beast. Did you go to any games last year? Wilson was making plays all over the place. He absolutely dominated Philly's entire offense in that game. He was all over the place. George Wilson is the man.

I like this draft scenario other than Jenkins. Who else might we take in round 2?

If this guy is still there in the third round, I say grab him. We had an undersized QB once upon a time and he performed pretty well.

The game is called "football". That means at some point you are supposed to kick the ball. I don't think that just punts, extra points and field goal attempts qualify the game to be called football. If they take away the kickoff, maybe they should think of a new name for the game.
