  1. Barkevious MIngo, OLB LSU. Fits the system. Can play down as a 4-3 DE or lineup at OLB in the 3-4 front. Sack machine and very versatile. WR in RD 2. Tyler Wilson in RD 3.
  2. The deal was finished on Thursday night. Today is Friday. What's to be gained by coming to town for a couple of hours work? Start the week on Monday and participate the whole week. Makes perfect sense to me.
  3. Well guess what? Some of us have been around for 50 years. We have seen both winning and losing. The current string of losing seasons has done nothing to diminish our optimism. We still bleed Bills blue and we always hope for the best. Having a positive attitude only when you win makes you a fair weather fan. This.
  4. Really? You're joking right? So putting up AFC Championship banners to remind the current players of the Bills history means that he has a college mindset? That is quite possibly the most ridiculous thing that I have ever read.
  5. This from Buffalo Rumblings "Also, Marrone's offense will be a lot more like Reid's WCO that Kolb showed some success in then it will be like Whisenhunt's offense that almost killed him. Whisenhunt was asking him to be Roethlisberger without the benefit of Pittsburgh's offensive line and Roethlisbergers size and insane ability to avoid sacks. Kolb was never suited for that offense, it was a recipe for disaster. But he is suited for a short drop, quick timed WCO, which is what I'm assuming Marrone has planned." This is pretty much what I said in an earlier post, but it is good to see that someone else agrees.
  6. Or they knew what they wanted and so did Kolb. They scheduled the meeting to fit everyone's schedule and got it done.
  7. Couldn't disagree more. Kolb is way better than Fitz.. He has a stronger arm and can throw the deep ball. He had a terrible O-Line at Arizona, he was hurt and Whisenhunt's system was not a good fit for him. I expect him to play way better than Fitz.. Of all the FA QB's out there, this was the guy I wanted.
  8. That is quite possibly the stupidest thing I have ever read on this board. Mario for Skelton? Kolb is a better QB than he showed in Zona. Their O-Line sucked and Whisenhunt's system is what got him fired.
  9. This. Kolb has the stronger arm.
  10. Please. ANYBODY would be an upgrade over Fitz.
  11. Many people are predicting Smith to be a bust in the NFL. Too slow at decision making and even with a perfect pocket misses wide open receivers. Those two flaws in his game will spell doom at the next level.
  12. I was listening ot Merrill Hoge on NFL Network and he absolutely believes that Smith will be a bust. Says he looked at lots of film and even with a perfect pocket and no pressure, Smith misses too many wide open recievers. Doesn't sound like someone I want at #8.
  13. He just found out that his girlfriend is really a dude. Can't tell anyone til April 3rd.
  14. Was listening to Trevor Price on Sirius/XM NFL radio. This afternoon. They were talking about Jay Cutler being an elite QB and Price said the Bears are cheap, lol. He said they are unwilling to spend to get Cutler some help. He also said that it is a shame that a small market team like Buffalo is much more willing to spend than a big market team like the Bears.
  15. Guys it is March! With the exception of Miami, nobody is doing much in free agency. I know it's hard to be patient, but the roster as it stands today will look nothing like it will look in September. If, after training camp you still feel we have too many holes and didn't do enough to address them, then fine. Until then, there is plenty of off season left.
  16. This. Let's wait and see what the roster looks like in September before panicking.
  17. Fitz may not have been THE problem, but he was certainly part of the problem. If you couldn't see that, then you weren't watching. Even with the terrible defense, there were plenty of games the Bills could have won with even a mediocre QB. Fitz was absolutely horrible.
  18. Relax people, it's March. We honestly have no idea what the roster will look like in September or how this team will perform under the new coaching staff. I know it's fun to speculate and that's what this forum is all about, but to try and predict results at this point just doesn't make sense. Be patient for at least a few months and then when the games start, we'll see what kind of team we have.
  19. Please stop. Getting tired of these threads in March. Nobody has any idea what this roster will look like to start the season or how they will perform with a new coaching staff. These doom and gloom threads are getting really old.
  20. I have been advocating for Wilson all season. I would be happy to have him with a second round pick.
  21. Another Levitre thread? Can we please stop this nonsense. Levitre was a good serviceable player. He never made the Pro Bowl. He was durable, but was he worth $8 million a year? Absolutely not. Tennessee overpaid. Guards are a dime a dozen and you have to choose your battles. This team has more holes to fill and the money will be better spent elsewhere.
  22. Levitre was a good and durable player, no argument there. Was he worth $8 million a year? Not likely. Tennessee overpaid for him and I'm happy that the Bills did not. They could easily draft a guard that will be every bit as good as Levitre and pay a fraction of the cost. They can use that extra money to fill other holes on a team that has plenty of holes to fill. i think Levitre is a good player, but this team has too many needs to commit that much money to a guard.
  23. I guess time will tell. We won't know until all the pieces of the final roster come together and they start playing some games. Until then, it's all just speculation, but that's what makes it fun. Everyone is convinced that they are right, but nobody really knows for sure.
