  1. Actually, no he can't. He has no leverage for this year. He either plays for the Bills and gets paid as one of the top 5 safeties in the league or he doesn't play and he gets paid zero dollars. I agree with you that Byrd is a very good safety. However, I believe this defense will be much better with the players drafted and with the new Pettine system. I believe this will be true with or without Byrd. That is what I meant when I said he is far from irreplaceable.
  2. Byrd was really good his first year, followed by a mediocre second and better his third year. He is far from irreplaceable. Would love to have him, but if he doesn't want to be here, then see 'ya. And how did that whole Jason Peters thing work out for Philly?
  3. This. No way to predict how many wins, but I really like the direction that this new coaching staff wants to take this team. I believe they will be a pleasure to watch and not so frustrating as in the past few years.
  4. Both are blowhards and neither one knows what the hell they are talking about. I listen to Mike Mayock and Gil Brandt for opinions on players.
  5. I think you are spot on. Can't wait to see the new D in action.
  6. This was a good draft. Completely revamped the WR corps. Added speed and toughness on defense. New kicker, TE who can stretch the field like a WR. Filled lots of needs and made the team much faster.
  7. You mean the same Mel Kiper that correctly picked 1 out of 32 picks in the first round? Him and McShay (also 1 for 32) really know their stuff.
  8. I like Jones, Goodwin and Rogers. I think all will be impact players.
  9. I would have liked to see an OL picked as well, but overall, I can't complain. I like every single pick that they made and believe that all will contribute. It's possible that all seven picks could make the roster and contribute in their first year. Nothing is guaranteed, but I can't think of a single pick that they made that I don't like.
  10. I am happy they chose Goodwin and Woods and signed Rogers. Combined with Stevie, these guys give the new OC some real weapons that other teams will have to game plan for.
  11. Thank you Captain Hindsight.
  12. I didn't see this link anywhere.

  14. Just saw this from CBS Sports ". A second-round talent with impact starter upside who could end up being the steal of the draft at the position, between rounds 4 and 6."
  15. His name is Duke. He played at Nevada.
  16. Because when you hit the "quote" button it quotes the whole thing. And for the record, there are any number of sources for ratings. The only ones that count are the ones in the Bills draft war room. CBS sports had him as the 3rd best OLB.. Mayock just referred to him as a "human wrecking ball". I'll take him in the second.
  17. All you had to say was USA Today. I stopped reading after that.
  18. Somebody doesn't know what they're talking about. Both of the top two QB's have been starters in the league and have enjoyed some level of success.
  19. Fred played hurt in 2012. He did look old and a bit slower, so we'll see what a full off season of healing has brought. I agree with most that he should see spot duty and is no longer a featured back. Still think he can contribute though.
  20. He said they need to take running back fairly high and I'm assuming he meant this year. Of course you have to replace Fred eventually, but a high pick this year? Absolutely not. It would be a complete waste of a pick.
  21. The Bills absolutely do not need to draft a running back this year. It is the least of their worries. The C.J./Fred duo is one of the best in the league and they have already re-signed Choice.
