Oversimplication is a wonderful thing. Yesterday EJ did not play well. There were a number of reasons for this and the majority of them were not his fault. Piling on is just ignorant of the game of football. Was it ihs fault that the OC never adjusted to what the defense was giving them? Was it his fault that the O-Line played putridly and the Jets were in his face all day? Of course it wasn't. No he didn't play well and some of that is on him. Not all of it however.

EJ will be fine. The Jets had an extra few days to prepare after playing on Thursday night and they did a good job. The Bills had a rough day for sure and EJ was pressured all day. He did play better in the second half, but to be fair, they were in his face most of the day and the secondary had good coverage. Bad day at the office, but it's only one game.

It was ugly. No doubt about it. Good observations as always. Can't hang this all on Rogers though. He was being targeted and needed some safety help, which he never got. A couple of those long ones may have been offensive PI. Anyway, they have a lot of work to do on both sides of the ball if they are going to get things corrected in time for next week. Hoping that they can learn from this one and put it behind them. Remember, Rex Ryan had a couple extra days to game plan for this one. Seems it did make a difference.

OK 13 minutes left and we're down 8. Considering how one sided this game has been, I'll take that. If we can score on this possession and then convert the two point conversion we're tied up. Doing both of those things will be a tall order though. Still hopeful.

Any doubt after that review and the subsequent completion that we have no chance whatsoever of winning this game today?

This thread is always good for a laugh during the game. Yes, that was pretty bad. But it was one half of football. Before we start demanding the heads of our coaches, maybe some people need to wait a few games. Lots of football left to be played this season. We beat a pretty good team last week. The Jets D is no joke, so let's just wait and see.

Worst half of football so far this season. Really need a TD to start the second half.

With all the injuries in the secondary, it was only a matter of time.

No game in the NFL is a slam dunk. This is a game the Bills need to win, but the Jets are not going to just roll over and give it to them. Every time out in this league, you better bring your A game or you will get beat.

Can't agree on the Williams penalty. It was third down. It allowed the Panthers to keep possession and it could have cost the Bills the game. Incredibly stupid penalty. If you want to light somebody up, you don't do it on a pass that they obviously have no chance of catching. Williams should know that. Gotta be smarter than that because better teams will make you pay for mistakes like that. I agree that it's not his fault he's so slow, lol. They should never throw him the ball in the flat and expect him to gain anything after the catch. He's way too slow. Hit him on those seam routes. He has good enough hands and he can take a hit. But don't ever throw him the ball laterally. It will never end in a good result.

That was an obvious call. Very stupid penalty. Wasn't the refs fault he was mauling the guy.

I thought I had seen the Bills find every possible way to lose a football game. I was wrong. Never saw them lose one by holding on a punt. Could be a first.

Wasn't me, it was a buddy of mine. I actually thought about that. This guy is deserving though. He's been a season ticket holder for over 30 years.

More like over thirty years. He is in his late fifties and has been a season ticket holder since he returned from Marine Corps duty in the '70's. Couldn't have happened to a more dedicated fan.
