  1. If my aunt were a dude she'd be my uncle.
  2. So you don't think that the guy that was in camp since OTA's and for the entire pre-season gives you a better chance to win than someone who was with the team for less than a week? And you don't believe now that Lewis knows the playbook and has been with the team a couple of months means that maybe he might now be the better choice than Tuel. Makes perfects sense to me. I can't understand why so many people are having such a hard time understanding the decisions. They are well thought out and perfectly logical.
  3. Made perfect sense. Lewis was in camp only a week, Tuel since the beginning of OTA's. Now Lewis knows the playbook and he is ready to move up. I see no issue here except the ones created by fans who know nothing about how to run a football team.
  4. Or... or... or...just maybe they like Thaddeus Lewis better than Dixon or White? They actually have seen him in practice for several weeks now.
  5. Relax man. You haven't even seen him take a snap yet.
  6. And Dennis Dixon has done exactly what in the NFL? And Byron Leftwich can't even get out of his own way at this point. White has been in a couple of camps. Played a bit with Miami and was highly regarded coming out of WVU. Perfect choice by the Bills. I applaud them for picking the right guy.
  7. I would much rather read posts like this than all of the constant whining and second guessing. Yes the team has flaws. News flash, so does almost every other team. I am enjoying watching this team and I enjoy the new coaching staff and FO. I think we may be finally heading in the right direction. We probably won't get there this year, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel.
  8. Kiko lowered his shoulder, he did not lead with the helmet. And if you look at the pictures, Hoyers legs twisted awkwardly during the slide, causing the injury. The hit had nothing to do with the injury.
  9. I fear you are probably right. This team loses too many winnable games to come out with more than 6-8 wins. NE and Cleveland are both games this team should have won and until they learn to win those kinds of games, they will have a hard time putting together a winning season. There will be games that you just flat out get beat, but the ones that you should win, you absolutely must win. I'll be there every week, hoping for the best, but from what I've seen, we just aren't there yet. And with EJ going down, it could be a long season.
  10. The coaches obviously liked what they saw from Tuel in pre-season and that is why they kept him. Pre-season, playing against backups, however is much different than a prime time regular season game in a hostile environment. Tuel definitely was overwhelmed by the situation last night and that is not what you need in a backup. He belongs on the PS and the team desperately needs a real backup QB. That was painfully obvious last night. It was another game that they could have won that they let get away. That makes three. Granted the Jets dominated them, but it was only 27-20 and they still had a chance to win, but couldn't pull it off. This team has got to learn how to win these kinds of games or they will never get over the hump.
  11. This seems like a no brainer. He would certainly provide some quality insurance if EJ can't go, not only in the immediate future, but for the long haul as well.
  12. Yes it does. Not sure about you, but I look forward to the Bills games on Sundays. Am I disappointed when they lose? Sure, but I certainly don't let it ruin my day. My Sundays are built around the Bills games.
  13. I for one am tired of hearing about Byrd. Screw him and his agent. I hope they do trade him so we can be done with the constant "Byrd watching".
  14. This. A Browns player came up with the ball. So why challenge that. It was a fumble, but we didn't even recover it. It was special teams that hurt us last night way more than the defense and frankly they haven't performed well all year. If you want to complain about a coach, that would be a good place to start.
  15. Thank you Captain Optimmism. We're 2-2 and competitive in all four games yet you still manage to only focus on the negatives. Congratulations. Thank you Captain Optimism. We're 2-2 and competitive in all four games. How's about that?
  16. Best of luck to Fitz.. He was a solid guy, just not a very good QB.
  17. This. And there were others as well. I completely agree with the OP.
  18. OK, you're right. I was thinking that inside two minutes it doesn't stop on a sack. Regardless, I believe that is what I hear Marrone say post game. They were not going to punt with 5 seconds or less on the clock. Maybe I misunderstood him.
  19. I think this offense will continue to get better. They have shown flashes of being very good, but have been inconsistent thus far. That should change as EJ and Hacket get a few games under their belts.
  20. Marrone said after the game, the plan was to keep the ball on 4th down and have EJ run around and then throw it out of bounds. Even if he gets sacked, the clock doesn't stop so B'more would never have gotten the O on the field in time.
  21. He is a rookie. He has played well enough to help the team get to 2-2 after four games. The other two games could have been won as well with a bit of luck. I for one expect him to experience some growing pains. So far though, I like what I see from him. I wasn't expecting perfection right out of the chute.
  22. Was hoping to see some praise for Hackett in here. Particularly after all the criticism he's been getting. Yesterday showed that he will adapt. It was a solid offensive game plan and it worked. Good job coach Hackett.
  23. Spiller will be fine. Simple as that. Any questions?
