  1. Fred consistently gets stood up in short yardage situations. You don't give him the ball twice in a row there. Choice seems to be the best short yardage guy because he tucks in behind the O-Line and consistently can get those tough one or two yards. I would have given it to him on first and goal.
  2. This has got to be the most frustrating team to watch ever. Another very winnable game pissed away by stupid mistakes. I had hope for this team, but now it looks like the will be lucky to go 6-10. They just aren't very good.
  3. This has all the makings of another fourth quarter loss. I hope that the D steps up and the O gets their act together, but once again, just too many mistakes against a good team. Beating themselves.
  4. At home, this team scores 20 points in their sleep. Just depends on how well the D plays. If they are up to snuff, we have a shot. As for Tuel, if he can stay mistake free, then we will be okay. If he turns the ball over like we did last week, we are doomed.
  5. No offense, but I'll take either Flynn or Tuel over Fitz. Been there done that and he definitely was not the answer.
  6. Relax man. He was thrown into his first NFL game due to injury and he performed poorly. That in no way indicates that he will never be able to play in the NFL as a backup QB. I would have no problem giving him another shot with a full week of preparation.
  7. If you don't get what I'm saying, then arguing with you is pointless. Some players are just injury prone and fragile. Nelson falls into that category IMO and if you don't get it, I'm sorry for you. I like our WR corps and my guess is he'd have a hard time getting on the field with this group. He is playing in NY because they are hurting for WR. I have moved on. Suggest you do the same.
  8. Nelson could not stay on the field in Buffalo. He was decent when he was able to play, but he's just one hit away from being hurt again. No great loss.
  9. Frustrating loss. Unfortunately the Bills just made too many mistakes against a good team playing at home. Can't do that in the NFL. You will lose every time. The good news is that I do see improvement in this team and they seem to compete every single week. I'm thinking an upset of KC may be in order at home next week. They will have to eliminate the miscues though. They are good enough to beat KC, but will have to be on top of their game.
  10. I agree with you about the possibility of going 8-8 or possibly 7-9. The problem I see though is in execution. This team still has not really learned how to eliminate the mistakes that cause you to lose "winnable" games. We have already lost three such games. Could easily be 6-2 right now instead of 3-5. Let's hope they are learning from those early losses and can close out the games that they should win the rest of the way. If so, It could be a fun finish to the season.
  11. Unfortunately, the result reflected exactly how the Bills played today. They got beat by a better team. You just can't make that many mistakes and beat a good team on the road. Hopefully we can play KC tough at home next week. I really believe we have a shot at beating them, but we'll have to play better than today for sure.
  12. This. If you fail to block, no play is going to work.
  13. Well there we go. Can't keep giving Drew Brees the ball in our own territory. Eventually he will put it in the end zone. Too bad, the D was playing well, but you can't keep putting them in a hole like that. Running game looked good early too, but then we coughed it up again.
  14. Whew! Talk about dodging a bullet. Now let's hope Tuel is more ready than he was against Cleveland.
  15. Just like Brady, the key to taking Brees off his came is to get in his face. Keep the pressure coming all day long to disrupt his timing. I agree, make them try and run the ball as well. Also agree with using the nickel and dime most of the time. Tough offense to stop and a good test for this defense.
  16. We are 5th in the league in rushing. Running the ball early, regardless of results, opens up the passing game. Defenses crowd the line hoping to stop the run, then it is easier to pass. Also, running early in the game and sticking with the plan has proven successful. Patience is the key, which is in short supply on this forum.
  17. I will defend Hacket. The team has scored at least 21 points in each of it's seven games. They are 5th in the league in rushing. Enough criticism. We aren't even halfway through his first season. They have been competitive in every game. The offense is a work in progress, granted, but this recurring theme that when everything doesn't go right on offense it is the OC's fault because he is inept is absolute nonsense. Until you achieve the level of experience in coaching that Nate Hacket has, I'll take his play calling over yours any day.
  18. Link didn't work for me either.
  19. I can't believe people are complaining about this coaching staff. This team is young and has a long ways to go for sure, but it is the coaching staff that has kept them competitive with all of the injuries and given them opportunities to win each and every week. Better than the previous three regimes by a mile already and we are only 7 games into their first season.
  20. Actually he does. Before his three-year stint at Syracuse, Hackett spent four seasons in the NFL as an offensive quality control coach with the Buffalo Bills (2008-09) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2006-07). I'll take him over you any day.
  21. What I am telling you is that what you think you are seeing may not be entirely correct because you have exactly zero experience as a professional football coach. And I'm also telling you that the OC does more than just call the plays, therefore there is absolutely nobody on this board that can hope to do a better job than the coaches we have.
  22. And exactly who on this board has experience as an NFL OC? C'mon man, they have made some questionable play calls, but 50% of the people on here can do better? You know that's BS.
