Tyrod was everything I wanted in a QB today
xsoldier54 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We weren't playing horseshoes. Almost doesn't count. Tyrod threw for 3 Td's and ran for the fourth. I'll take that every single time. -
I hate to admit it, but Taylor sucks

This. Tyrod threw for 3 TD's today and ran for the fourth and people are still complaining about his play. Absolutely ridiculous. -
ColdPlay Gets Super Bowl 50 Halftime Performance
xsoldier54 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Couldn't disagree more. I saw Skynyrd live at Jacksonville Coliseum in the early seventies with Charlie Daniels Band as opening act. Ronnie Van Zant was so drunk he passed out on stage in the middle of the set. Just saw the current version in August and they totally rocked. Way better show than the original version. These guys have been together way longer and they are way tighter musically than the original version. -
ColdPlay Gets Super Bowl 50 Halftime Performance

We saw Coldplay on the American Music Awards a couple of weeks ago. My wife was commenting that Chris Martin was dancing like a monkey. Next thing you know there were monkeys on the video screen dancing behind him. Then about half a dozen guys in monkey suits came out and danced with him. Totally freaked me out. -
Who Has The Biggest Ego In The NFL ??
xsoldier54 replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Rex Ryan, hands down. His continued belief that he is an exceptional coach despite the reality of his record tells me he is a pure egomaniac. I was all for this hire, but that was before I witnessed how his teams perform on a weekly basis. -
NFL QBs that could be available in 2016
xsoldier54 replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wouldn't want any of these guys over TT. Sorry but we have our QB and he's a good one. Better than any of those guys that you mentioned that might be available. I know there was a 50 some odd page thread discussing whether or not he "sucks" but anyone who thinks he is not a good QB is not worth debating with IMO. Every single analyst with NFL experience loves the guy. It's only Bills fans that are not satisfied. -
This is why none of our coaches have been successful. They try to force their system on a group of players whose skill set does not fit. Ryan is doing it again with the D. There was nothing wrong with the D. It did not need to be changed, yet he insists on trying to play his system. Great results so far don't you think. Good coaches can assess the strengths and weaknesses of the personnel they have and put them in position to succeed. Bad coaches try to enforce a certain system of play regardless if they have the personnel to play it. Ryan is not a good coach.

Time to admit it: Marrone>Ryan
xsoldier54 replied to Estelle Getty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Look at Marrone's record within the division vs. Rex's. No comparison. -
Who else is still pissed off!

I feel the same way. I have been a fan since the very first season and at almost 61 years old, I have survived rheumatic fever, two heart attacks and tonsil cancer. The Bills games are for entertainment and I absolutely expect nothing from them anymore. When they lose it is not a surprise and when they win, it's just a bonus. Too many years and too many life experiences have numbed me to any form of disappointment in the team. I just tune in every week and hope for the best. -

xsoldier54 replied to Doug Flutie Band's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This. Completely agree. I have come to the conclusion that most Bills fans are severely lacking in football IQ. This thread provides ample evidence of that. IT's not only PPG that needs to be considered. You can't pull a single statistic and base your entire rating of a QB on that. YOu have to look at the whole picture. Compare all of the stats between EJ and TT as ESPN does with it's total QB rating and see what you come up with. The difference is obvious. -

xsoldier54 replied to Doug Flutie Band's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Again, for about the millionth time, Taylor is doing exactly what is asked of him. The play calling has limited his production, yet he is still ranked 7th in the league. Blame Roman if you want to, but Tyrod has not been the reason this team is 5-6. -

He threw for three TD's on Sunday with no picks. Pretty good for a guy who sucks. And why is that? It is based on statistics and a scientific formula. What is your opinion based on? Show me some comparative analysis that proves your point. That's because many TBD'ers wouldn't know a football if it bit them. -

Here's another stat for you. Tyrod Taylor is ranked 7th in the league according to ESPN's Total QB rating. He is ahead of Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Drew Brees, Cam Newton, and a host of others. Anyone who believes that he is not a starting NFL caliber QB should look at the stats of the other QB's in the league before spouting off. Yesterday he threw 3 TD's with no picks and this nonsense goes on ad infinitum. I am seriously doubting some of my fellow Bills fans football IQ. -

We have a QB with 14 TD's vs. 4 INT and a QB rating of 101.8 and there are 42 pages of people discussing whether or not he "sucks". Take a look around the league and see how many QB's have had this level of success. Are you guys even watching the games? Tyrod has been solid if not spectacular. He is far from the reason this team is not succeeding. It comes down to coaching and play calling on both sides of the ball. This staff is trying to prove how smart they are and in the process has hamstrung the players and prevented them from winning football games that they should win. -
This season 100% comes down to coaching, nothing more
xsoldier54 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This. I 100% agree. Good coaches assess the talent on their roster and put players in a position to succeed. This coaching staff is trying to make players on both sides of the ball play a style of ball that doesn't suit their abilities. Absolutely on the coaching staff. -

xsoldier54 replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This team has enough talent to be a playoff team. They are losing due to poor coaching. On both sides of the ball, the play calling is what is getting them beat. That and undisciplined play that leads to penalties. All of these things fall squarely on the shoulders of the coaching staff. If you want to blame Whaley for something, blame him for hiring Rex Ryan. -
Marrone was not fired. He quit.
-
I was excited about the Rex hire, but this team has looked woefully unprepared for almost every single game. They don't seem to be able to make any in game adjustments and when the other team does, they are screwed both on offense and defense.
-
Love your optimism, but this team will be lucky to win another game, let alone win out.

Bills at Chiefs 2nd half thread
xsoldier54 replied to voodoo poonani's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think we have a decent QB. The play calling in the second half has been terrible. They were killing KC with Watkins and McCoy in the first half and haven't given either one of them the ball nearly enough in the second half. -

Did anyone expect anything different? This is the same old Bills team. You can change the coaches, you can change the players, but it is amazing how this franchise has not won a meaningful football game in over a decade.. That is the one thing you can count on. If it is an important game with playoff implications you can take it to the bank. We will lose every single time. Amazing. -

xsoldier54 replied to Doug Flutie Band's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Does anyone on here watch any other NFL football besides the Bills? Try comparing Tyrod's performance with some of the other QB's in the league. They all miss open receivers from time to time. If you are looking for a QB who never misses an open receiver, then good luck with that. They all do it. Tyrod has been more than adequate and he gives us a chance to win virtually each and every game that he plays in. I haven't seen a single game where he has cost us a win because of poor play. I have seen him make plays that have helped us win games. Plays that other QB's mostly do not make. For my money TT is the man and I'm sticking behind him until he actually plays poorly enough to cause us to lose some games. Haven't seen it yet. -

If it's true, then yes Tyrod is to blame, yes. But if he sees a guy is open and throws it to him and it isn't Watkins, who cares? -

Both of those underthrown deep balls were clearly PI on NE. They were both catchable had the defender not interfered. Both of those throws that you mentioned were underthrown a bit, but were catchable if not for PI that was not called against NE. Again, yes they were not perfect throws, but catchable balls without the uncalled PI.
