  1. He took over a really good defense and completely ruined it.
  2. I'm so sick of people blaming losses on Tyrod. None of the QB's you mentioned could win with this defense. It was absolutely putrid and has been all year. Meanwhile Tyrod is putting up some of the best QB numbers in the league. Yes, by all means blame the losses on the one guy that is playing his heart out. The rest of these guys should be ashamed to collect a pay check, but Tyrod is giving us his all week in and week out. Ridiculous to keep blaming him when the defense can't stop anybody.
  3. As a matter of fact, we're not. Stats don't lie. They are the only way to measure actual performance and compare it to other QB's. I know you don't like him, but like it or not he is in the top 10 in every single measurable QB statistic. If you think he blows, then prove it by comparing him with the other QB's in the league. Otherwise, your opinion means nothing.
  4. Based on what? The defense gives up TD's on Washington's first three possessions and somehow that is Taylor's fault? He wasn't perfect and made some bad throws, but he also once again did enough good things to produce a win if they could play any defense at all. TT is not perfect and if that's what you are looking for, then good luck with that. What he has been this year is pretty damned good. Top 10 in every QB category and top 5 in most. Some people will never be satisfied. I understand the frustration with losing, but it's the D that has let this team down this year, not the other side of the ball.
  5. Watching the Bills is like watching the movie Groundhogs day. We just keep re-living the same crap over and over and over again.
  6. Why? What difference does it make what our final record is if we are out of the playoffs again? Wouldn't it be better in the big picture if we lose out? Never rooting for that or suggesting the team tank, like some. I just don't really see the difference in finishing 9-7 or 6-10 except that we will be lower in the draft order if we win.
  7. After so many season of losing and not making the playoffs, I find it very hard to care about today's game. I know that win or lose, we are not going to the playoffs again. I fully expect to lose and if we win, it makes absolutely no difference. I think I have finally become numb.
  8. Silliest thread I have ever seen. Yes, let's tank for two seasons in the hope that some unknown QB will be our long term savior. The problem with this team has not been the play of the QB this season. It has been on the other side of the ball. The defense has been putrid. The QB has been in the top five in the league in most categories and top 10 in all.
  9. I like Arizona. I think they could potentially make it to and win the SB. Would be good to see someone different win.
  10. This. After watching the Bills bumble and stumble their way through the season, it is a pleasure to watch playoff football. It reminds you of how the game should be played.
  11. This. He didn't even make an attempt on the ball and then he's laughing it up with the opponents after the game. Woods needs to go. He is part of the losing mentality and not part of the solution.
  12. This. Instead of trying to win football games it seems that Roman has really concentrated on throwing more to Sammy Watkins. Sometimes it has worked, but they are calling his number in some odd situations and it has hurt them. This was a classic example of the wrong play call for the situation. Not because of the INT but because it was a very high risk play in a game that they only needed a FG to tie. I would have given it to Shady and then given it to him again and again. If he couldn't get eight yards on three carries, then so be it.
  13. The Bills have shown absolutely nothing to indicate that they can win out. Losing out would be more likely. I think they lose at least two of the last three to finish at 7-9. Losing all three would not surprise me in the least.
  14. I agree with the suggestion that this thread be killed by the moderators. We have already had a 50 something page thread titled Tyrod Taylor sucks. It has been discussed ad ininitum and there will never be a consensus. Some folks like him, some don't and that will never change no matter how many threads with the same subject material are started or how many pages of opinions are posted. This horse is dead.
  15. This is one of the best threads I have read on here in a long time. Some very well thought out responses and very little knee jerk extremism. As for myself, I wish I knew what the answer was. Coaches have changed over the years, management has changed. Players have changed as well, yet it seems like I am watching the same team that I have been watching for all these years. I absolutely knew that they would not win yesterday. I was hoping for the best, but I just had that gut feeling that this team would find a way to lose, just like they always have. The results played out exactly as I feared they would. They never had the lead against a team that they were clearly superior to. I hope some of the suggestions that people have offered will work. As for me, I am out of ideas. I just don't know what this team should do anymore.
  16. The one thing that has been consistent over the years of this long playoff drought is that the Bills will find ways to beat themselves in games like this. I fully expected them to lose. Look back over the years and you will see that virtually every time the Bills have played a game that mattered or had playoff implications, they have found a way to lose. They were clearly the better team yesterday, but yet they never had the lead the entire game. Coincidence? I don't think so. I think they went into the game expecting to lose and they found a way to make that a reality, just like they always do. It is amazing how consistent that they have been in games like these over the years. You can blame the coaches, you can blame the refs, you can even blame the players, but all of those things have changed over the years. The one thing that has not changed is the will of the team to win. They just can't seem to find the kinds of players that refuse to lose no matter what.
  17. Fans on this board will never agree on anything. Tyrod's stats place him in the top 10 in the league and still that's not good enough. Fans here are looking for a guy that never misses an open receiver, never throws a pick and never makes a mistake. Good luck with that folks. IMO Tyrod has had an above average season. Is he perfect? No. Is he the problem with why this team has a losing record? Absolutely not. The reason we suck can be summed up in three words. Coaching, Coaching. Coaching.
  18. I'll admit that I was all for the hire and I liked the Roman hire as well. Wasn't sure about the effect on the D when they let Schwartz go. I was completely wrong. Rex and Roman have been overmatched on numerous occasions this year and Schwartz' D was way better than Ryan's scheme. Frustrating to say the least. This year's team has enough talent to be a playoff team, but they have been poorly coached.
  19. Woods made absolutely no attempt to catch that ball These guys don't deserve to win.
  20. Looks like that's the ball game. Another game we needed to win and we just didn't play well enough to win.
  21. This is typical Buffalo Bills football. A big game on the road, playoff implications and guess which team didn't show up?
  22. Typical Bills first half on the road. Stay close, then when the other team gets the ball to start the second half, they score. Game over.
  23. Roman is outsmarting himself again. Trying too hard to get the ball to Sammy. Run game is working. Gotta run at least once on 2nd and 3rd down with only two to get the first.
  24. I have seen enough. You either have it or you don't. TT has it. If you haven't seen it, you haven't been paying attention. Every QB in the league has some games that are better than others. I don't need 10 more starts. I have played and watched enough football in my lifetime to know that TT is an NFL caliber QB and a good one at that. If you don't agree that's fine. It''s just my opinion. I respect yours, I just respectfully disagree.
  25. Yes, let's not pay any attention to those nasty stats. They get in the way of our self valued opinions. TT is the real deal. He has proved it over and over and over again. For those that can't see it, I suggest you start watching a sport that you can understand better.
