He's already an alternate and will probably go to the Pro Bowl this year.

Playing out the string Bills v jests 2nd half thread
xsoldier54 replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This. They obviously wanted to win this one and played hard to do so. Well done. Wish I could say the same over the entire season, but maybe that will come. Haven't seen consistent play over the course of an entire season in way too long. -
AP Report: Bills Will Release Mario After the Season
xsoldier54 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Defense will not miss him. He was a non factor this year, so whoever replaces him can only be an improvement in this defense. Still pissed that Rex destroyed a good D. Should have just left it alone and fixed the offense. -
Are you still bitter over fredex after seeing carlos
xsoldier54 replied to seadog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Never was bitter. I completely understood at the time that they were going with younger guys. Didn't need to see Karlos to understand why they did it. -
[closed]Im sick of watching tyrod
xsoldier54 replied to enlightener's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Suggest you find another team to watch then. TT is our QB and will be for quite some time. He is going to the Pro Bowl as an alternate. He has played with heart and has made plays where most QB's would have been sacked. What I"m tired of is hearing people whine about him. If our defense would have played even half as well as they did last year we would be a playoff team. -

Jacksonville loss was the kiss of death. It was all down hill after that. -
Would We Be Better Off If We'd Just Kept Fitzy
xsoldier54 replied to The Frankish Reich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Apples and Oranges. Fitz has a decent defense and ours has been putrid. He would not have helped us get to the playoffs with this D. The Jets are a more complete team and he has been a good fit for them, but not for us. -

He's the only guy on the field playing with any heart and you pick him to hate on. -

No I just read idiotic posts about getting rid of a QB that has had one of the best seasons of any QB in the league and was just named a Pro Bowl alternate. Because you geniuses know that there are a million better options out there.
-
More than likely he will go. There are always a couple of QB's selected that can't play for one reason or another. Last time I checked there are two halves in the game, hence the reason for calling them halves. Did I miss something? Are we now only counting the first half of games? If so, why do they bother to play the second half? Enlighten me.

Merry Christmas to all TBDers. We are all blessed to live in a country where we can share our opinions and debate with each other freely and without fear of repercussion.
-
Yes let's get rid of our Pro Bowl QB and find a better one. Because we all know that Pro Bowl caliber QB's are a dime a dozen. Sometimes I think that the majority of people that post on this board have zero actual football knowledge. They watch the games, but they have no idea what they are seeing.

Mario Williams: "Bills' personnel doesn't fit Scheme"
xsoldier54 replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This. I've been saying this all year. Good coaches understand the personnel that they have and build a system that plays to their strengths. Coaches that fail are always "System coaches", who insist on playing a certain system regardless of the personnel. It never works. Jurgen Klinsman is finding that out with the U.S. Men's National soccer team. Americans play a different style of soccer than Europeans, just as South Americans do. Klinsman has tried to force the U.S. team to play a style that is not complimentary to their skill set. Rex Ryan has come to Buffalo and done the exact same thing with the defense. -
Boobie reiterates what some of us knew...
xsoldier54 replied to The Big Cat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"The casuals"? Good to see a couple of the players trying to be accountable, but the bottom line is that Rex Ryan has failed this team as a head coach. It is the coach's responsibility to prepare a team for games and make sure that they are prepared. He has failed to do that. It is also a coach's job to understand the talent that he has on the roster and devise a system that enables that talent to play to it's strengths. He has also failed to do that by trying to force them into a system that they don't have the skill set to play, particularly on defense. The failures of this team fall squarely on the head coach. -
Maybe you need to. You were the one disparaging his numbers AT THE HALF.
-
In effect he is. It is his first year as a starter and he missed 2 games due to injury. He has had 12 starts in the league now. Still not a full season even after this year. Based on what, your infallible opinion? Statistics agree with me.

I'm not even disappointed anymore
xsoldier54 replied to Homey D. Clown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I started a thread yesterday asking if anyone really cared if we won the game yesterday. I have the same feeling as you. I watch the games, and hope for the best, but when they perform like they did yesterday, it no longer bothers me. I fully expect it and am never surprised at how poorly they play. This team is an absolute joke and has been for quite some time. -
This. Tyrod has done an excellent job and his detractors can't be bothered by his excellent stats. They just believe that their opinion trumps the reality that the statistics show. Tyrod Taylor is one of the 10 best QB's in the NFL, RIGHT NOW. He will get better, but he's already well above average. To top it off he is playing with a passion that seems to be lacking in his team mates. If you don't believe that TT is a "real" QB then you know nothing about football and it is pointless to debate.

I'VE HAD IT WITH REX RYAN!!!
xsoldier54 replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gotta agree. This team has regressed under Ryan this year. Their sloppy play on both sides of the ball is a direct reflection of the HC. Cut your losses now Bills and get us a real coach. -
Where did it go wrong in 2015
xsoldier54 replied to bisonbrigade's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree with you on hiring Ryan, but completely disagree on Taylor. He is one of the best young QB's that I have seen in this league in quite sometime. Problem this year was entirely Rex Ryan's destruction of a very good defensive unit. Hard to win football games when you can't stop anyone and are constantly playing from behind. -
EJ deserves time on the field with first team offense.
xsoldier54 replied to gsurdam's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Stupid idea. I have seen enough of EJ Manuel to know that he is not an NFL caliber QB. I have also seen enough of TT to know that he is. If you fail to recognize the obvious differences between the two, then it is pointless to debate. We have our QB. It is the defense that has failed this team. The O is putting up almost 25 points a game. The defense cannot stop anybody. That is not a QB problem. -
TIME FOR THE FANS TO TAKE CONTROL
xsoldier54 replied to 1st Ammendment NoMas's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Completely disagree. Yes stability is something to be desired, but I at least want to see something out of Rex Ryan that indicates that he is capable of preparing a football team to win an NFL game. So far, I have seen absolutely nothing.
