Jerry Jones is a better GM than Whaley
thermal replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thats absolute lunacy. Whaley should win GM of the year. Lorenzo Alexander leading the league in sacks and playing at a pro-bowl level? Huh? Zack Brown leading the leading in tackles and playing at a pro-bowl level? You're literally crazy. -
Watkins absent for start of voluntary workouts

He's in SC. https://www.instagram.com/p/BD3zHkqo20L/?taken-by=sammywatkins -
Christ. We have a guy who is a pro-bowl alternate, the best QB we've seen since Jim Kelly. and people actually literally write "lets trade him." Thank God we have a real GM. There were maybe five QBs this year who had a better season that Tyrod. Most of them are on their way to the Hall of Fame.

Long time lurker. Thought Id post a few thoughts. The good: Sammy Watkins. I wouldnt trade him for any receiver in the league (literally, even one) right now. Yes, he wants the ball. Im glad he does, and that he's not afraid to ruffle some feathers. Since the bye week, he has completely backed up all of his talk. Tyrod Taylor. 20TDs, to only 5INTs. A passer rating of more than 101. And a dynamic runner. Does he have growing to do? Undoubtedly. But this is a hell of a start, and people saying "abandon him" are insane. There's about 5 quarterbacks in the league with better numbers, all of whom are on their way to the HOF. He's the best QB we've had since Jim Kelly and he has more than earned another full year. The left side of the OL. The Eagles notwithstanding, Richie has been great himself. More than that, he has elevated the play of both Cordy and Wood. We should keep them intact. Our 2015 draft. Getting the DROY in Darby, an excellent #2 RB who overachieved before injury, and a starting (though uneven) guard in one draft is a home run. Great GMs strive for a 33% hit rate on their draft picks. From Peter King this morning: "Mastering the draft is not easy. No one has done it. Ron Wolf, a Hall of Fame GM, once told me he’d be happy if he could hit .333 in the draft … meaning one of three players he picked would be a direct hit. That’s a Hall of Famer talking." Shady. Expensive, and had some injuries, but the best and most successful RB we've had in a while. Greg Roman. Nice to have some creative and aggressive play calling. Charles Clay. Nice addition, and nice to take him away from Miami. Doug Whaley. Done a very nice job building this roster. Calls to can him after his successes are lunacy. He's way above average in the NFL. Having an organization that finally keeps its stars. Nice to lock up Marcel, looking forward to the OL and Gilmore getting done. Our starting two cornerbacks, when healthy. The bad: Mario's disappearing act. Part of that is on Rex, part is on him, but none is acceptable. Our utter lack of linebackers. Im not sure that Id keep any of the the three on the team. Right tackle. Penalties. The most frustrating thing about this team this year, with no close second. Coaching. The defensive drop off from the prior year and the penalties are both really difficult. Put differently, Im more optimistic about our roster than ever before. Id like to draft a LB in round 1 and an OL in round 2. Then best player overall for the remaining draft.

What do we know about McNeil and Jackson?
thermal replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Less than one percent? Wow thats one hell of a /mathfail. The country has 300 million people, ish. 1% of that is three million people. There are 32 NFL teams, and each team has a 53 man roster. Meaning there are 1696 players on an active NFL roster. Add a few for IR and practice squads and guys who were close but didnt make the roster, and you dont come anywhere NEAR 1%. -
It's sad to learn that there are still people in Buffalo that smoke too much crack. Lets also trade Ryan Fitzpatrick for Peyton Manning, ok, but only if the Colts also give us an extra $20M.

Hey, Let's Trade ___________________

As I've said 1000 times, thank God you morons aren't the GM. -
Im so glad you (and most of the other fools posting "Trade X for 19 first round picks...and a PONY" on this board) aren't the GM.
-
I feel like correcting your spelling, instead of responding to your unbelievably inane post, is the most constructive thing in this whole thread. At least you'll have learned something.
-
I wonder how many stupid athletes can spell "clumsy" correctly.

SHOP LEE EVANS FOR TRADE
thermal replied to Over 29 years of fanhood's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Trade Lynch for Adrian Peterson. Trade James Hardy for Andre Johnson and two first round picks. Trade Trend Edwards for Peyton Manning. Also, I want a pony. /sigh -
Also, Id like a pony. Or, or, I know: Lets trade NE and get Brady for a 7th round pick. They'll do it, "Im sure of it." Oh, and lets trade Lynch to the Vikings for Adrian Peterson, but they have to give us a 1st round pick as well. And lets trade James Hardy to Houston for Andre Johnson. /sigh

[please fix subject]would you make this trade

The other hang up is that this is an unusually inane conversation on a board chock full of inane conversations. -
Pick #8: Buffalo BillsRecord: 5-8 Trent Williams, OT, Oklahoma Williams moved from the right to the left side this year, and hasn't fared as well as in previous seasons but is capable of quickly developing into an effective NFL starting right tackle. He is a tough run blocker who drives his feet once in position, and he can hold his own in pass protection when his footwork is sound.

Yeah, there should definitely be a thread about this. Cause there definitely hasnt been one already.

Perry Fewell - Head Coach of the Bills???
thermal replied to tjprime's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's completely wrong. The current coach of the 49ers was an interim coach, and then the "interim" was dropped and there was no "properly vetted system" (whatever the hell that meaningless phrase means anyway). -
Just like your spelling.

Ah, unsubstantiated rumor and pure conjecture, how I love thee. It would help all of us if you wouldnt post useless BS when you dont know what you're talking about. "Bills linebacker Paul Posluszny might have avoided serious injury. Posluszny missed his rookie season because of a broken forearm. He left Monday night's game in the first half and didn't return. We later learned from Bills coach Dick Jauron -- hold your applause, Bills fans -- that Posluszny has a broken bone in his arm. "It's not as bad as it was the first time," Jauron said. Posluszny could miss a few weeks, but his injury doesn't appear to be a season-ender. " (uh, or a "career-ender" either, presumably) Source: http://espn.go.com/blog/afceast
