Too bad for the Bears they're still stuck with Caleb Williams. I said when the Giants cut Daniel Jones that I'd take Daniel Jones over Caleb Williams any day of the week and I stand by that.

Week 13 - 49ers at Bills Game Week Thread
paulmm3 replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
I wonder how much we'll strategically rest players to keep them healthy down the last stretch of the season - or really go all out like we're fighting for a playoff spot trying to get the first seed and the bye. -
Ravens vs Chargers MNF game thread (no Bills talk please)
paulmm3 replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm just not that convinced by the Chargers, on either side of the ball. They're 7-4 but watching they just don't feel like a much better than average team to me. Baltimore is good. I don't see any way we can hold them to much under 200 yards rushing. But I think we have an advantage in pass offense and pass defense vs Baltimore, and they are beatable. -
Ravens or Chargers tonight? Consider the playoffs
paulmm3 replied to Billyhouseman's topic in The Stadium Wall
According to the odds website I'm looking at, a Chargers win helps our odds of getting the top seed, which is what I care about most. Baltimore is probably the team I'd least like to see in the playoffs though. I have zero confidence we can stop their offense. I'd love a bye but I'd also love to avoid a Wild Card weekend match-up against Baltimore. -
Giants are releasing QB Daniel Jones (future backup to Josh Allen)
paulmm3 replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Daniel Jones gets a look as a possible starter from somewhere like Tennessee or Vegas. He's not great but I think he'd be an upgrade at starting QB for Vegas, Tennessee, Carolina, New England, Chicago (not gonna happen), and the Jets. He never got much of a shot behind an OL that wasn't bottom of the league at pass protection. And yeah wtf is with the Giants putting him at practice team safety, that's embarrassing for the Giants -
Would love a bye in the first round of the playoffs. That's something we've never had in the Josh era I don't think.

No ill will against Gabe, I like him and I hope he recovers fully. But holy goodness I can't believe those jokers in Jacksonville gave him 13 million a year.

Your job as a fan is to give your team home field advantage no matter who is visiting. I think we do that.

Jon Gruden now employed by Barstool Sports
paulmm3 replied to BillsPride12's topic in The Stadium Wall
Watched a little bit of Gruden/Barstool yesterday. I like the guy. He's got an energetic and engaging personality, knows an insane amount football, and is good at communicating what he knows to morons like me. -
Fine handed out for Rapp's penalty against Miami

Atrocious officiating last weekend. This bad call doesn't even stick in my mind as much as the back to back phantom holding calls.- 36 replies

Nothing against Spector personally but I'm not sure his play was much above practice squad replacement level

There may be something to this. In 20+ years of watching the NFL, I don't think the officiating is biased against the Bills. But I do think refs have a directive to keep games close, when in doubt. Bad calls seem to disproportionately help the team who's losing, unless it's a massive blow out. This would make sense from a business perspective too - keep games close -> keep more fans watching until the end -> more eyeballs on the TV for longer -> more ad dollars.

Best End of Season Scenario for Bills
paulmm3 replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
Byes and home field advantage in the playoffs are very important if the last six years of Bills playoffs have taught me anything. -
I'm thinking similar to our current system, but more and better I guess. With the ability to tell refs to throw flags. Refs do get help from officials in the sky, but not enough. For example, the two consecutive phantom holding calls on the Bills last weekend could have had someone in the sky tell the refs to pick up those flags quickly, but nope. Similarly, sky refs should be able to tell refs to flag stuff like the obvious face masks last night.
-
Keep a rotating stable of refs, not all of whom call a game each week. NFL has tons of money and can do this. Only assign refs with good games the previous week to work the following week - send refs like last night to the "bench" for a couple weeks for some film review and rotate in another crew. Also allow fast use of video review on big calls by a team of refs looking at video feeds and communicating with on field officials by ear radio quickly.

Browns mortgaged the future for Watson. They still need another few years to recover from that

So assuming we put him on our PS we basically just stole a practice squad player from the Falcons lol

I'm optimistic. America drastically needs a reduction in the size, scope, and spending of our federal government for our future economic well being. A second term Trump administration - with input from Elon Musk - may be the best chance America has to cut red tape, bureaucracy, and bloat in government.

I am voting for Donald Trump

McDermott is consistently awful with challenges. Replay assistant or whoever advises him of that decision needs fired -
