  1. I don't see a reason to release Slay after we play the Eagles on the 28th. We could see them again in the Super Bowl, however unlikely that may be. And we shouldn't give them any resources they can use to beat us at any point when we still might play them again. Can you imagine losing the Super Bowl to the Eagles on a Darius Slay interception because we decided "nah, he's not that important to Philadelphia and the chances we both make the Super Bowl are tiny, let's just be nice and let him go where he wants." I'd be okay with releasing Slay and letting him go to the Eagles after it's assured there is zero chance we will see the Eagles again this year. If we don't qualify for the playoffs or are eliminated before the Eagles are.
  2. For me there should be absolutely nothing emotional in the decision not to release Slay. Nothing against him, no hard feelings. But we're not giving another team trying to win the Super Bowl (Eagles) a player they can use for free. It's just good strategy to force Slay to report to Buffalo or to retire.
  3. You are correct and I was unfortunately relying on hallucinating AI. Even more reason we shouldn't help Slay become a Philadelphia Eagle.
  4. The only downside to us sitting on Slay's rights and basically forcing him into retirement is the $350k we'd have to pay. But we can then fine Slay for not reporting. That money we'd fine Slay is not recouped by the team and I believe has to go to something charitable or something like that. So put Slay on the DNR list, accept that you have to pay him $350k, fine Slay an equivalent amount, and it's basically a charitable donation.
  5. The only response from Buffalo now is to tell Darius Slay he plays here or he doesn't play again this season. We should not do Slay or the Eagles any favors.
  6. He's 34 and was bad enough to be a healthy scratch this year. Who cares. Nothing gained, nothing lost.
  7. There's no such thing as a one week hamstring injury. Bosa is out
  8. Josh Allen should be the highest paid member of our organization. Aaron Kromer should be the second highest paid. No idea how he has not gotten poached yet but we need to make sure he has all possible raise and promotion opportunities in Buffalo so he never leaves.
  9. Think there's a real possibility Terrel Bernard is a post June 1 release this upcoming offseason. Defense is better without him.
  10. Five turnovers last week and two in the first half today. Our coordinators may suck but last week and today so far are turnover/execution problems rather than play calling problems.
  11. Lol Patrick Queen injured is karma for the no call on the late hit on Josh which was also Patrick Queen
  12. Clear late hit there. League has an officiating crisis.
  13. Don't love McD sending Cook back out there for the first play of this drive after that 100% his fault fumble. Would rather take a page out of the Belichick book and sit Cook for a quarter
  14. Hope the Vikings have fired the people they employed to assess QB talent the last few years.
