isn't it a bit antithetical for a player who doesn't want to acknowledge COVID restrictions to opt-out due to COVID??
-
I was watching that first video clip yesterday and the tight spots he's dropping dimes into. Wow! Now I finally understand why I'm not an NFL QB. Also, I'm slow.... and below 6'. Maybe there's more than one reason......

My son is a huge Panthers fan and was legit upset when they lost Obada... -
Top 100 Throws of the 2020 NFL Season (Josh Allen disrespected)

Or the 3rd and 23 to Beasley. Really the Kumerow TD pass that was featured was a laser, but hardly a clutch throw. The Bills were up big at that point -

What about the as-he's-falling backhand throw to Diggs against the Raiders -
Pete Prisco's (CBS Sports) top 100 for 2021
cage replied to Albany,n.y.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anyone know where Diggs was rated last year? -
He started some games his rookie year for us and did well. Many on this board felt he was ascending leading up to the trade. I'm not sure anyone was predicting he was going to be a pro-bowler. He was closer to what Ike Boettger was at the start of last year

Athletic article: Will having fans back impact QBs play?
cage replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he'll thrive on crowd noise. He loves competition and the crowd just amplifies that. This is a dead topic for me. Its going to make him better! -
Looking back on this Round #2 mock..... we got two players that are in the top half of this version!
-
Its painful to see a mock like this as so many players that I'd love to see the Bills pick are getting picked off one after the other....

Not to make jokes, but should someone with Youboty in his handle really be making calls on CBs??

I'll get real stupid and carried away with myself now and predict that Rosseau is Beane's target for round 1 -

One of the things I found interesting is although the two mocks have a lot of differences, they both show Gregory Rosseau as top 5. By sitting out 2020, he's dropped to the point where he could be on the board when Bills pick. It will be interesting to see where he goes as his drop is entirely due to sitting out. Plenty of mocks have shown him available at #30 -
As I'm tired of looking at all these, I thought I'd reach back to see how publications did on a really old 2021 mock. Here are two that were published in May 2020, just a week or so after last year's draft. Bleacher Report: they got about 13 of 32 players picked that have been commonly mocked to 1st round now. Three big misses in the top 10; Justyn Ross, Samuel Cosmi and Marvin Wilson. As they get into back half, they have some players that now commonly dropping to 2nd round. They mostly get the teams in the right general area. Biggest misses came on Cowboys and 49ers on back end. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2892176-nfl-mock-draft-2021-breaking-down-best-fits-for-jamarr-chase-top-prospects CBS Sports: this one's not quite as close. They have several misses in top-15. They have three QBs in the first round that have disappeared; KJ Costello, Tanner Morgan and Jamie Newman. They miss Zach Wilson and Mac Jones on their list. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/2021-nfl-mock-draft-steelers-lions-take-qbs-as-six-go-in-round-1-patrick-surtain-ii-off-board-early/

I have no problem w/ Bills taking Etienne, but not on a trade-up -
Could You See Josh Allen Doing TV Commercials?
cage replied to Peace Frog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Mayfield has taken on the successor to Peyton Manning comedy role. Have to wonder if it will typecast him. I have a hard time picturing him anything other than goofy skit commercials now. -

I'm more than a bit surprised that he doesn't already have some big commercial endorsement deals. Certainly better than Baker Mayfield and he'd be an ideal choice to scoop up whatever Deshaun Watson used to have. Plus his persona is conducive to lots of creative advertising. -
Bills trade way back in 2nd round (bottom 1/3 of round) and pick up another 3rd, plus 4th. They package the 4th with their 5ths to move up to 3rd round. So they end up with 2 seconds and 2 thirds

Athletic article on JP Losman
cage replied to Ed_Formerly_of_Roch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
np.... as you're probably still tooling around the site and with just a few days before the draft. Here is Dana Brugler's complete NFL draft guide ranking every player available and then some. This alone makes the subscription worth it! https://theathletic.com/2499821/2021/04/18/2021-nfl-draft-guide-636-prospects-ranked-415-scouting-reports-from-dane-brugler-the-beast-is-here/ -

Its absolutely worth it. Its the only subscription of any kind that I pay for. The Bills writers Joe Buscaglia and Matt Fairburn do so many great stories and analysis. Then John Vogl focuses on Sabres. He's got tough assignment. Also Tim Graham simply paints on a broader canvas. He'll do Bills/Sabres stories, but also stretches to general Buffalo sports stories that are totally captivating. Buscaglia focuses heavily on analysis; post-game, draft, roster and such. Fairburn does Bills analysis, but also these kinds of great stories. One of the best ones he did was a feature on Ike Boettger. It was mid-season, right after the Seahawks games, where the team just dominated. The personal interest story seemed initially weird on the heels of that game, but he really brought it together well tying it to the game as it coincided w/ Boettger's first start. Reaching beyond the Bills/Sabres, Graham did an outstanding story on ex-wrestler Lex Luger who went to Orchard Park HS and has fallen on some very hard times. He also did a great story on Stevie Johnson. All of its worth the $! -
The one thing I hope we come out of the draft with is...
cage replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
An outstanding pass rusher. The Super Bowl reinforced to me how critical that is as the Bucs swarmed Mahomes continually. Our pass rush has been weak in big games. Not sure if Epenesa is one of those guys yet and the other two are well into their '30s. Beane has shown that he can buy competent CB, WR, OL help if necessary, but finding great pass rush outside the draft is very tough. That's what we need to get to next level...
