  1. Though his drafting w/ Raiders was marginal at best
  2. Wow, I was just reacting to what I thought was a flippant tweet when I started this thread. But then......
  3. I think Belichick may be calling him the Angel of Death today. I think it was about to come out during his post game press conference....
  4. You're correct on the context, which actually makes it an even more impressive play. Though that detail doesn't call into question whether he's football guru. Like him or not, he clearly is.
  5. I think the connection is that he's so deadly out of structure and can still destroy defenses despite some poor play calling
  6. Not a bad nickname for Allen.....
  7. it will be forever an epic pic and in my opinion well worth the fine he incurred!
  8. I do like the red jerseys, but that is one lame ass video
  9. If this is correct, then whoever posted this did their job perfectly and is unlikely to get fired
  10. I am a bit surprised that there isn't some 3rd party referee grading system. If you think of all the advanced stats that PFF, Next Gen Stats and others have developed where we know the degree of separation each WR had on each pass attempt, why hasn't some grading system on officials been developed. This is a yearly complaint. If we went back into TBD history, there would be threads in most years about how the refs have never been worse. Seems like the best way to put some sunshine to this topic is to be able to track officials on penalties called (what kinds, how often, in what game circumstances), missed penalties and so forth. It would be a popular set of stats....
  11. Working the refs is a long-standing QB tactic
  12. You mean the way we've seen Antonio Williams run?

    Coin Flip?

It wasn't meaningless to Belicheck... he's LFAO the whole flight back I'm not suggesting that's solely why they lost. All the other criticism of the team above are correct. But coaches are supposed to give you a strategic edge, particularly at home.

    Coin Flip?

What wasn't a factor? The decision on the coin flip? It certainly was if you watched the 4th quarter.
  15. Stream of consciousness
  16. I was away from the TV as the coin flip was happening, but heard announcers say that we deferred. Did we in fact, win the coin flip, choose to defer so we get the 2nd half kick-off and thereby let the Patriots pick that they would play with the wind in Q2/4??I said immediately at the opening KO on my group chat what a mistake this was and that it may cost us a close game. How on earth does McD not make a strategic adjustment in his approach to this critical decision when the whole game was about the wind??
  17. No flame... Stephen A is netting it out perfectly
  18. I don't like his vaccination position, but I think I have to agree with @Virgil. It seems like he wouldn't be that hard to replace, but has he says, nobody's shown they can do it. I think we ride out the contract to the end and he goes after 2022... either retires or isn't re-signed.
  19. I always liked Tyrod... he'll help with one!
  20. I think they should consider going with Brieda and Williams. Have Singletary take a seat, plus assuming Moss my be out.
  21. The truth is everyone saw this as an after-thought, not just the team. Without criticizing anyone else, I'll own up to my part. I sat there calmly watching through the 3rd quarter. The only thing I got upset about was the penalties and that they wouldn't cover the spread, but really I expected they would win in the end. It wasn't until 5 min to go that I realized they might lose. During Chiefs and Titans games I was on edge stressing over each play from the beginning...
  22. Yeah! How's that ridiculous post/poll about Tribusky's playing time looking now?? Never f%&$ing talk before doing! We're lucky Lawrence didn't hurdle anyone...
  23. I think the Manningcast curse is more likely...
