All Time Draft Busts (Updated Part III)
uforesircher replied to coldstorage5's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
my take on your busts: ok 1) Walt Putuski #1 over all played 5 yrs ok 2) Al Cowlings #5 over all ok 3) Phil Dokes # 12 over all played 2 yrs oh yes maybe even #1 3) Mike williams # 4 over all played 3 yrs ok 4) Perry Tuttle # 19 overall maybe just not a very good player - on the rim of a bust 5) John mcCargo # 26 overall oh yes 6) Eric Flowers 2nd round ok 7) John parella # 55 overall ok 8) Tony Hunter # 12 over all average qb when we need a stud but not a bust 9) JP Losman # 22 oh yes 10) Tom Cousineau #1 over all never played for the Bills even though we got the kelly pick, I think he should be on the list ok 11) Terry Miller 1978 # 5 Overall ok 12) Tom Rudd 1975 # 19 Overall no way at all a bust - average receiver - one of nfl's best returners ever - no way a bust 13) Roscoe Parrich 2005 # 55 -

2010 Buffalo Bills Marketing Strategy
uforesircher replied to bluenews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
unreal! firstly: the 2010 sched puts us in the best possible position. all sunday games (who cares about the hype of primetime), every game at 1pm = same routine no deviations - football is meant to be played on sundays at 1pm. this is a win-win for us. plus the toronto game is an nfc team, division teams are at the beginning and at the end of the sched - this is all good for us. secondly: maybe you should check your post before posting: "How needs primetime when you have one of the top five punters in the AFC." the cute little comment . . . errr. . . should be question was probably: Who (not How) needs primetime when you have one of the top five punters in the AFC? (a "." is used for a statement not a question). i could go on and on because there is so much material to correct/work with here . . . . . thirdly: the gm remark is just pathetic! -
Are we really this pathetic?
uforesircher replied to Buffalo Beeeews's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
food for thought - you really have to stop posting like this because of the possibility of spawning voting threads such as - which is more pathetic: the post or the poster? -
on paper perhaps - but this game isn't played on paper - let's see how it plays out before it's declared they both improved i like our approach - and i know it will take a year or two to finally get to where we want them to be - but it will be worth the wait -and then we should be good for years after that

wow - pathetic and btw it's a short but pointless post 1st learn to spell, it's Nostradamus 2nd perhaps you should learn how to influence people with your witless humor by making positive comments before showing your room temperature iq must be a troll -

Where can I watch Buffalo Sports...
uforesircher replied to JOHNNYFAIRPLAY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
im in mulberry (right outside of lakeland) and i watch every bills game and every sabres game on dtv - and btw it's worth every penny - and cheaper than going out to bills bars or sabres bars -
this is not well thought out - we need evans here (no team will give us a 1st/2nd pick for him anyway) - and there isn't a team that would give more than a 3rd/4th rounder for lynch. you are not imagining you are far-fetched pipe-dreaming. don't get me wrong if we could get a 2nd round pick for lynch (or even a 1st for evans) i would be happy if we did that but not because i don't think lynch is good, because i do think he is a good rb, but because he is one bad choice away from being suspended for a year - and if i had to bet on it i would bet he will make another bad choice and will be suspended (hope i am wrong - but his history points to bad things)
-
hehehehehe and you are right on both counts

that is the most rediculous thing i have ever read - absurdly inane at best - wacky craziness at worst -

stop it - if they choose spiller (which i am sure is not their first, second or third choice for the #9 selection) than he will be the best option that is available to them value wise - and that shows that they do have excellent decision making ability. it is far better to get a rb that probably is as good as or better than our two rb's (who by the way are very good), than to pick up a guy at #9 just to fill a hole that we have because the talent is fair-to-poor at best. that is to say just because it would be an improvement talent wise for us doesnt mean we get good value at that #9 spot. it is not good to improve from fair-to-poor to mediocre when you can add depth or improve on very good at that position (especially when lynch is one bad choice away from being suspended for at least a year) -
exactly - now not so much also, we already have one guy that is one bad choice away from being suspended for a year - we don't need another

iceman - i don't normally like to give up early draft picks but you may very well be right about this one - bradford is probably the closest thing we will see (or have seen in recent years) to a guy who can lead us into playoff contention for the next decade or so - but it comes down to the original question: the chicken or the egg - or in football terms the qb or the o-line. if we can lock up one of those up this year and lock up the other up next year then we will be fine for 5-9 years after the 2011 draft - so which do you concentrate on this year - if we can get bradford in a trade up this draft maybe we do just that and fix the rest of the o-line next year. and i am am a "everything begins and ends with the 0-line and d-line" guy - so this goes against my normal thinking which should show how much i think of bradford. with all that said we do have a some holes still to fill on the d front seven. it will make an interesting draft for us and provide an open window for us to peep through to see how gm nix and coach gailey think
