Here's my best recollection of an ICE quote: "Drew Bledsoe....blah..blah...blah.."
-
Let's not get crazy, I'm not saying that the Bills are going to crush the Chargers. What I'm wondering is this: A cold snowy day, on the road going up against a team that's really starting to believe in itself? You have to believe that the Bills players are going to be ultra hyped for this game. I have to imagine that this game will have a playoff feel. If the chargers come in flat they may very well run into a buzzsaw.

I particularly enjoyed the Brokeback Brady pictures. WTF WAS THAT??? -

River's looks good because defenses are scared to death of Tomlinson. It's amazing how much better your WR corp is when you have a ProBowl TE and the CB's constantly have to peek into the backfield for run support. -
OJ Admitting to Killings?
Mike in Syracuse replied to truth on hold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He was tried and found not guilty. Under our current laws he can call a press conference and say "Yeah I killed them and I'm glad I did it" and we can't touch him. -

Can I ask a couple of stupid questions?
Mike in Syracuse replied to Mike in Syracuse's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Thanks for your response but you didn't answer any of my questions As for your comment, I'm sure that there are people that want us to lose but every population has it's share of lunatics. Wanting American kids to die for a personal or political agenda is symptomatic of mental illness IMO. I'm not sure it's fair to say that "many" want us to lose. I guess the bigger question is have we already lost and what exactly is victory at this point. Pulling the troops out would be catastrophic, keeping them there indefinitely would be unimaginable. -
First off, let me say that I ask these from a point of complete political neutrality. 1. Why is every Democrat automatically branded a "liberal"? 2. Why is it that if you question the management of the "War on Terror" people accuse you of being un-American and not supporting the troops. 3. Why do people want to portray Conservatives as evil? 4. WTF has happened to legitimate debate on the issues? 5. Am I the only one that feels like they need to take a shower after they watch election coverage?

Care to remind anyone what Wade Phillips W-L record was? -
I haven't posted a lot lately because I've been busy with a lot of real life stuff. I have been lurking and watching the games when I can and I'll offer the following observations. 1. The Bills as a collective unit might have the dumbest roster in the NFL. Their penchant for committing the most idiotic penalty at the worst possible time is unprecedented. 2. JP Losman may have the physical attributes of an NFL quarterback but he is not a "leader". It's very hard to get men to follow boys into battle. This problem is magnified exponentially when the team struggles. 3. When was the last time the Bills had a legitimate "star" at DE. Schobel the "irrelevant sack" master and the Denney/Kelsay combo are merely average. 4. Light and fast defensive linemen will lose the battle 90% of the time. You simply can't compensate for mass with speed. 5. Mularkey got a lot of criticism for his "trick" plays. The offense I watched yesterday didn't look a whole lot different. 6. This team doesn't have the talent to make it to the playoffs but they absolutely shouldn't be worse than .500. They have no heart.

After Pat Tillman’s Birthday
Mike in Syracuse replied to Dennis in NC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So by that logic, because we have criminals in the United States we should all ignore the law? If you act like the enemy, you become the enemy. The burden of the high ground is ours to carry. -
There is one sure fire way to get media recognition and praise, win more games than you lose. If the Bills crush, not beat, crush the Jets this weekend then the National tards will have to take notice. Until then, stop crying about a lack of respect. When the Bills go out and WTFPWN a few teams then talk will start.

I'm simply stunned. Just when you think the world can't shock you any more, something like this happens. My thoughts and prayers go out to his children and family and the family and friends of his wife.

We lost to a better team
Mike in Syracuse replied to Pyrite Gal's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm just curious, what game did you watch? Saying "Brady looked terrible" is ill informed at best and idiotic at worst. Look, I hate the Patriots as much as the next Bills fan but Brady is an unbelievable QB. His throws to Watson and the other for the TD to the RB. The guy has the ability to throw 40 yard darts and put the ball EXACTLY where it needs to be. Hell he carried his team last year. We lost the game because we made HUGE mistakes on the road. That gets you a loss ever time. Yes, the Pat's aren't the juggernaut they once were but for this week, they're better than us. -
Bills lose 17-19!

Is there anything better that watching the "lifelong, diehard Pat's fan" booing their team after the 1st half of the 1st game of the season. It warms my heart. -
Even Pats fans are looking past us!
Mike in Syracuse replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The simple reality is that the Pat's fans will still continue to spout their greatness until age and turnover brings them back to mediocre or worse. What's going to be truly delicious is when the Pat's have 2 or 3 consecutive losing seasons and the diehard Pat's fans start screaming that it's time for the almight Bellichek to go! -

I'm actually more impressed that there are that many Pat fans who are able to type a complete sentence. -
Patriots Hot Dogs and Sausages
Mike in Syracuse replied to Thailog80's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"Patriots Sack Attack Mild Italian Sausage." WTF!!! Is that some kinda of euphamism for a teabagging? Now that I think of it, I'm sure there's probably a lot of that going on the Foxboro parking lots anyway. -

Chuck Norris? -
If you look at the philosophy of the new Bills coaching staff and the players they chose yesterday's draft makes perfect sense. If Jauron plans on implementing a defense with a lot of single high schemes then having Coy Wire in the secondary is a death sentence. I think Triplett and Anderson are going to excel under this new defense and we need depth on the DL so that explains McCargo. As for the CB Youboty, no one knows what's happening with Clements so it's right in line with the needs. I'd wager that if you switch Youboty with McCargo half of the complaints would go away. I guess if you don't get the endorsement of the talking heads you can't play football?

Bears DE Idonije signs offer sheet with Bills
Mike in Syracuse replied to Spanky46's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is very sharp indeed. Even in the event that we don't get the players we've forced a couple of teams to use up valuable cap dollars in an effort to retain their players. -
Replacement for Jeff Posey!!
Mike in Syracuse replied to Takeo_14's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why do I keep having this vision that Jauron turns Posey into an LB blitzing nightmare ala Bryce Paup?
