What in particular did he say that wasn't EXACTLY true? Prior to his signing, 99.7% of Bills fans didn't want him anywhere near the team. Now that he's signed homer nation thinks it's a brilliant move.
TO is an amazing player but he carries more baggage than a cruise ship.
Nice to see that the 4th grade trend continues. Saying something positive about the Bills = brilliant journalism. Saying something negative = insufferable hackery.
I don't think anyone knows how Tebow will project as a NFL quarterback. He has some attributes that coaches love and some limitations that would push other QB's into the very late rounds of the draft. Maybe not even get drafted at all.
One thing is for certain, a large portion of Tebow's game centers around his toughness and his ability to lower his head and run. It's that "toughness" that makes him so endearing to Gator's fans. If he tries that at the NFL level he might not make it out of the preseason.
I can't think of a single position with MAYBE the exception of punter that wasn't better on the '91 team. From top to bottom that team was better in every single aspect of the game.
I love optimism but your assertion is just nuggin futz!
Schobel doesn't necessarily get "run over" but very often his angle to the QB is so wide that it's very easy for an RB to cut back in and run right by him.
In football parlance his ability to contain as a DE is pitiful.
I think it's a reflection of the economic reality of the NFL now. Why pay 4 times as much for a 1st round pick when you can get 4 2nd round picks for the same price?
It's about overall value now.
Every time I read "has trouble keeping his weight" I chuckle. When I was 21 I could eat half a cow and a quarter of a pig and I never went above 180lbs. Five years later......not so much.
Now I have a pretzel and I gain 2 pounds...WTF!
Brandon Spoon and Coy Wire were also showed amazing athleticism and flexibility in college. That unfortunately doesn't mean squat when it comes to performance in the NFL.
On another note, anyone else notice how many of the college players drafted tragically lost a parent when they were kids? Holy crap!
If you appreciate good OL play then you'll see just how much the Bills upgraded with these two pics. Maybe the front office woke up?

Here's perhaps the most interesting piece from that article:
"two-year letter winner on the basketball team... played tight end as a junior... has good speed and excellent feet.."
Pardon my French but who the !@#$ is Mike Mayock? Does he work for one of the NFL teams? Oh probably not, probably another glorified blogger? Oh wait, let me guess, some guy that played a few years and now he's an expert on the draft. Am I close?
What I love about this thread is that 80% of the people saying the love/hate the pick probably haven't seen Orakpo or Maybin play a single down.
OMG ORAKPO WAS ON MEL'S BOARD>>>>>WE DIDN'T PICK HIM WE SUCK....who'd he play for again?
Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't McKelvin the best punt return man in college when he was drafted?
Doesn't he currently have a higher average than Roscoe?
If I can get a 3rd round pick for a 5'8" WR that can't seem to get open I'd do it in a heartbeat. If Parrish is soooo fast why is there always some scrub 3rd or 4th CB within 1 yard of him?
I would guess it's mostly Giants and Bills country.
The positive for the Jets is that it'll be easy for the players to get some rest because there's absolutely NOTHING going on in Cortland.
I think he's talking about the year before where we lost. I can't remember if it was the home or away game but I guess it doesn't matter because we lost both of them.
Or maybe it was two years ago, we lost both of them too....
We've got a veritable cornucopia of super excellent all stars.
