  1. Happy Birthday NG. Enjoy your tapioca!
  2. I'm not convinced that a big name coach is going to fix the issue. The Bills problems are much greater than just the coach. The Bills need to put a solid organizational structure in place and then build from there. The coach/gm combo platter makes me VERY nervous primarily because it hasn't worked ANYWHERE........EVER. The NFL history is littered with coaches who have been very successful with one team then moved on and done virtually nothing with their new team. There are far more first time SB winners then there are multiple franchise winners. I'd much rather have a GM/Coach combo that work together and are on the same page. Throwing HUGE dollars and someone just because he's a "name" gets us nowhere.
  3. Brad Childress looks like a freaking genius with Farve at the helm. Bellichek is all world with Brady.....better players make better coaches.
  4. Brian Schottenheimer is currently employed by another NFL team. If the Bills mention his name I'd be SHOCKED!
  5. I'm starting to sense that Kelly's consulting with Ralph the same way Marv did. Ralph knows and trusts Jim and knows that he only wants what's best for the Bills. Jim might just be a "death panel" for some slackers on this team.
  6. Bado's wisdom is not lost on those of us that have been here for a while.
  7. "In many ways, Jauron seemed clueless about what works and what doesn't in the modern NFL. His offensive coordinator of choice was John Shoop, who favored constant screen plays and short outs and power running plays, the kind of stuff that doesn't work against NFL defenses anymore. NFL teams have to stretch the field; Jauron never seemed to notice."
  8. I said this in another post. If you view the Bills as a corporation it appears that there has been a merger/buyout. New management is coming into town and there will be blood, lots of it. Club Jauron is over. Let's hope comments like "it's hard to win..." will never be heard again in Buffalo.
  9. This is just absurd. I hate the fact that TO talks up a storm and yet can't catch a pass that almost hits him in the face. That said, they guy doesn't lack passion. The fact that he erupted on the sidelines reminded me what a rarity that is on the Bills sidelines. Is it indicative of the lack of emotion that Jauron displayed, probably. The fact that none of the other players on this team have gone on a tirade is troubling. Maybe what this teams needs is a little more sideline anger! I do know this, if a new coach and new GM comes in and they're wearing some jewelry a lot of players on the current roster may dissappear. If you dont' have the passion to be a champion then you don't need to be here.
  10. I liked Rusty as much as anyone but there's no diet and no amount of strength and conditioning that's going to keep you from blowing out your knee if your foot gets caught in the turf. The same holds true if some 300+ pound defensive linemen rolls up on your leg. People talk about Jones as if he's some kind of injury prevention guru, go take a look at Chicago's IR list and talk to Urlacher while your at it.
  11. There's 2 things Fewell can do to impress the hell out of me. 1. Tell AVP to take the training wheels off. Run trick plays, flea flickers, and the most bizarre formations he can dream up. We've got nothing to lose and everything to game. 2. Act like he's in control of the team, win or lose.
  12. More likely our time to stare into the sun!
  13. It's unlikely that you'll get any kind of quality GM if you hire the coach first. They don't want their job based on a guy they didn't hire.
  14. If Ralph is finally conceding that we need legitimate football people in here then they will decide who the next QB of this team will be. It's unlikely that Edwards will get much interest from other teams so the rest of this season is a big tryout for him.
  15. He does have the defense playing fairly well despite having one mediocre and two scrub linebackers? Could he be the next Tomlin type coach that gets his chance, steps up and excels?
  16. "But, there are reasons to think Ralph C. Wilson "gets it", and is actually willing to do "what it takes" to turn his sagging Bills franchise around. A source tells me C.O.O. Russ Brandon has already started the search for a respected football man to head up football operations, and that person would be in charge of bringing in the next head coach along with all other changes in the personnel department, and changes there will be." http://www.wgrz.com/news/local/story.aspx?...016&catid=4
  17. Leif Larson Mike Rockwood Mike Williams Langston Walker Drew Bledsoe All huge, all sucked! I don't disagree with some of his ideology thought. Bills games are often played in craptastic conditions. Our players used to embrace the most miserable weather and opposing teams used to HATE coming to Buffalo. I remember watching Bruce warm up in December wearing T Shirt and the other teams players were basically wearing parkas. I don't know if he's still interested in coaching but Buffalo is the perfect place for Shanahan. He knows how to play in the cold and is a GREAT offensive mind.
  18. NO NO NO NO NO NO....no more college coaches, coordinators, projects or walk ons. Hire a legitimate GM and Dungy to be the head coach. We'll be in the SB within 4-5 years.
  19. This is just pure idiocy. You're really going to blame April for 2 fumbles? Is he really supposed to grab his NFL players and tell them "don't fumble the !@#$ing football"? A coach can only put his players in a position to succeed, he can't keep them from making idiotic mistakes. That said, I don't want April as head coach. GIVE ME SOME TONY DUNGY!
  20. Well that's just bull ****. Jauron is a crappy football coach but he's not stupid. If Jauron got summoned to Detroit he knew why. I don't think if Ralph waited this long he's not going to develop an intense hatred of the guy in a few weeks. I think the reality is that Ralph really like Jauron and really wanted him to succeed. It just wasn't meant to be.
  21. From the Buffalo News (http://www.buffalonews.com/452/story/862946.html?imw=Y) Despite the never-ending changes, Jauron still has high hopes for the offensive line. "As I've said often, I believe they are going to be a good line," he said. "It's just going to take time, and time is something we don't have a lot of." I realize the guy is not a good coach but for Christ sakes, it's the tenth freaking week of the season. WTF kind of time is this guy talking about?? Sure they might be a good line in 2 years with the addition of 2 actual tackles. Right now they're just a jumbled collection of people who might be healthy enough to get into a 3 point stance. This IS rock bottom.
  22. I think it's pretty obvious, the season is over. Is it time to put the young guys in to see what they can do? Let's Give Johnson, Hardy, Hadman, Maybin as many starts as possible to see what we've got. There's really not much reason to continue to pound the regulars every down, let's see what kind of talent we have on the roster.
  23. That may have been the case but taking the penalty is inexcusable. TO is a veteran WR. If Nelson lined up in the wrong spot then should have just moved. It wouldn't have changed the play. Instead he throws a fit like a child on the sidelines. The sooner he's off my team the happier I'll be. I've never seen a WR get more press than he does yet have absolutely stone hands.
  24. Avicolli's. It's not great but it's the best I can find up here in Liverpool.
