  1. In T.O's defense, his numbers would have been better if he hadn't dropped the passes that hit him RIGHT IN THE FREAKING HANDS!
  2. Bottom line: No school wants this type of publicity. Now that Leach has gotten his ass fired maybe he can finally move in with The Senator and they can spend New Years eve spooning.
  3. The Rooney family is notoriously cheap and historically hasn't wanted to pay for premier players. That's changed a bit recently but its not fair to lay all of those 14 years on Cowher. I did find it odd that Cowher felt the need to address the Bills game during the post game shows this Sunday. I would have been he would never give the Buffalo/Atlanta game a second thought but he made some reference to it specifically. I got a funny feeling............ Then again, it might be gas!
  4. Bill Cowher's tears actually cure cancer. Unfortunately Bill Cowher has NEVER cried.
  5. And heal the infirm! http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d8...mp;confirm=true
  6. Schobel is an absolutely average DE. The difference is that the rest of the defense around him is so putrid he looks like the best player on the team.
  7. It's really sad reflection on the organization when a guy we picked up a few weeks ago, who has had a grand total of 3 days with the first team actually looks as good as any QB we've had this year.
  8. I have never seen a WR fight less for a ball than TO. What a worthless bag of ****.
  9. Maybe if our offense didn't have the complexity of a Little Tykes or Playskool toy we might actually see them move the ball. A high school team could defend this offense.
  10. They'd probably be more successful just hoping we leave our starters in!
  11. There's a perfect example of why Poz is not an elite NFL linebacker. He's got NO closing speed.
  12. So if Brohm sucks eggs today does Bills nation start screaming to start teh Chroise?
  13. I would have agreed with you until I heard an interview with Greg Williams prior to the Saints/Pats game. Apparently Williams was adamant that the Bills draft Drew Brees with their pick but was overruled by the front office. Williams felt that if they had drafted Brees he'd probably still be a HC in Buffalo and he may be right. I think there are a lot of great coaches out there that we've never heard of. Unfortunately they need good personnel around them as well. No coach, no matter how great is going to win with craptastic players on their roster. Levy was pretty much a nobody when he came to Buffalo as well.
  14. I was reading the thread on Shanahan early and I found the responses to be interesting. Why is it that we as fans are drawn to "names" regardless of what history or numbers tell us. NO coach has ever won a super bowl with a second team yet many are clamoring for Shanahan. Shanny was fired in Denver for bad drafts and three years of increasingly mediocre performance. Despite this, many were falling all over themselves to bring him in to be our "savior". Why are we as fans so willing to dismiss the blatant reality. The same mentality applies with players. Old, worn out names are always assumed to be better than rookies. Even with 31 other teams in the NFL won't look at a guy we have fans crawling over each other to get some 40 something whose name they recognize. I have no doubts that Shanahan is a good coach. But even he isn't a miracle worker. The Bills need a solid GM that understands NFL level talent and has scouts that have a clue what they're looking at. They need coaches that understand the NFL, that can communicate their strategies & gameplans and get their players to execute them. They also need coaches that put their team in a position to win by effectively managing games. Bringing in Bill Polian as GM and Bill Bellichek as head coach is still no guarantee of success. BUT, bringing is quality is the best course!
  15. Didn't we beat the Broncos in Denver last year with our dog**** roster and Jauron as HC. Somebody please tell me again why Shanahan was elevated to GOD status?
  16. Apparently you missed watching Mike Williams getting thrown into the backfield all night on Monday. OBTW, he's no longer a tackle, he's been moved to guard.
  17. Somebody please tell me the last time Schobel made a play that made you say "WOW, that was an awesome"? Schobel is a serviceable DE, but certainly not deserving of the insane salary he's scheduled to earn. Frankly, I wouldn't be shocked to see him get cut next years. A new GM is not going to be very tolerant of slow, underproducing high motor guys. Kelsay and Denny might want to consider retiring as well.
  18. If Washington decides to dump Campbell they're dumber than a box of rocks. The kid has had a different OC every year he's played and the Skins OL makes our look like the "Hogs" of the mid 80's. Anyone who watched the game last night saw just how bad Washington's OL is. I never thought I'd say this but even our OL gives a QB more time to throw than that abomination in DC.
  19. Kelly was on The Herd a week or two ago and said "I have not spoken to Mr. Wilson". In the context that he said it I don't believe it was deception. I just don't believe that Jim or Thurman have anywhere near the level of input with Mr. Wilson that they or we'd like to believe.
  20. I listened to Thurman this morning on WGR and I didn't hear anything that indicated to me that he had any inside info. Hell I didn't hear anything that gave me an indication that the Bills even care what he says. He did say something about sending a text message to Russ Brandon telling him to "pick it up" or something stupid but he never said if he got a response. I think he's just talking.....
  21. After yesterday's game and this debacle of this season I'm convinced that nothing short of a total cleansing will solve the Bills problems. What this team desperately needs is a fresh set of eyes. A set of eyes that understands the intricacies of NFL football. Someone with no pre-concieved bias or no interest on who was drafted where or what they're paid. Anything less than the football equivalent of a scorched earth policy will be a complete and utter failure.
  22. Schobel is a one trick pony. He takes a massive upfield loop on virtually every every play and he only cares about the sack. His run defense is atrocious an he's admitted that he doesn't care. I believe his exact words were "Let someone else worry about contain". Someone needs to show this fool a DE job description. When was the last time you saw Schonothing get a sack at a crucial time or make a game changing play? The sooner he and Kelsay are cut the better we'll be as a team.
  23. Ironically, Owens was a model citizen and teammate this year.
