Let's not lose sight of the fact that most of our starting OL are former or future car wash employees. This also applies for a number of the no names we have playing defense. Overall I'd say it's a pretty fair matchup!

I realize the Bills are playing against the Colts 2nd and 3rd string but this is still enjoyable. The Colts biggest strength is also their weakness. God forbid something happens to Manning they have absolutely ZERO chance to win a game. Painter is wretched.

Because Wilson has his own Lear. Cowher would have been flown in by Brandon & Co. and a Limo would have picked him up at that airport. It's likely only the pilot and limo driver would have ever seen him and both were probably employees for the Bills. THAT's why every "I saw" report is utter garbage.

You're under the false assumption that all GM duties are the same. Nix isn't Donahoe and to me it seems like he doesn't want to be. From his comments, he'll will be responsible for hiring a coaching staff and working with them in rebuilding the team. Brandon is clearly the "business" guy. Ralph trusts him and his recent promotion is proof that Ralph is comfortable with him handling the purse strings. Based on what I've seen so far, it appears to me that Nix is a pure football guy and that Brandon will be running all the non-football duties that some other GM's do. I'm fine with that.

We should hire Carl Mauck as HC. He's got more passion than anyone in the league. Oh sure he looks like a raving lunatic but hey, passion wins right?

The Bills could hire God as head coach, Jesus as OC and Moses as DC and Sullivan would find something to B word about. Sullivan's job is to B word about things, that's what he gets paid for. Last year when the Bills were 5-1 the people you mentioned were falling all over themselves to interview Edwards. Don't let facts get in the way of your delusions.

It's the fan mentality. Everyone else is awesome, all our guys all suck. People are enamored with names. Most of the posters here couldn't name a third of the GM's in the league but they're confident that they can assess the Bills choice. It's the same reason that the fanboys out there all want the "name" coach. Nevermind the fact that lightning has never struck twice, EVER.

Um, why was Kelly there and why is he answering questions about the new GM? Did he just jump up on the podium and say "hey, I'll take some questions". That was just odd.

The Bills also have to comply with the Rooney rule. Do you really think that Nix just found out about this today and hasn't talked to someone (Shotty) who is reported to be one of his best friends? I'm thinking that they might have had a conversation on the phone. It's entirely possible that they've got this already laid out. Then again...no one knows!
