  1. "Gailey was almost hired last year by Chiefs general manager Scott Pioli to be the head coach, but because Pioli didn’t think he could sell Gailey to the media or the Kansas City fan base as the man to rebuild the team’s fortunes, he passed, opting to keep him as offensive coordinator." So rather than worry about actually winning he was worries about selling tickets? I'm betting if Pioli hires Gailey as HC it would be a "genius" move by the guy that built the Patriots. How'd KC do this year? I must have missed their appearance in the playoffs?
  2. If the Charger's kicker didn't go 0-3 and they didn't turn the ball over they win the game. Are you saying it's Turner's fault his kicker went into the tank and his players fumble away the ball? Players make plays. Coaches are there to put them in a position to win but they don't play the game.
  3. It's pretty clear that the world ending, the sky is falling and the 2012 apocalypse is upon us. That said, I'm astounded by the amount of people that think the hiring of a "name" is going to fix the Bills problems. Would Levy be in the hall of fame without Kelly, Thomas, Reed, Smith, Bennet, Talley etc. Do people really believe that the Bills would have made it to 4 consecutive super bowls with Gail Gilbert at QB, Kenny Davis at RB? Bellichek was a bum at Cleveland. Jimmy Johnson failed in Miami. Parcells failed in Dallas and the list goes on and on and on. If you don't have the horses in the stable it doesn't matter if Jerry Kelly is your jockey. I wouldn't know Gailey if I ran him over at Wegmans. I have no idea if he'll be a good HC or not. I do know that if he, Nix, Modrak and Bills mgt. actually get on the same page and draft great players we'll be a better team.
  4. Do some research on Gailey's history before you make yourself look stupid.
  5. I just wasted 10 minutes of my life reading the idiocy in another post about how Frasier isn't qualified to be a head coach. The two main arguments are: 1. He can come here if he brings Minnesota's defense with him 2. He's only a good coach because Minnesota has great players. Could any one of you former GM's please enlighten as to who the last coach to win with crappy players was? Am I missing something? Are there coaches out there winning championships with walk on's and players they're stealing from other team's practice squads? If there are I'd say we should go after them.
  6. Here's a newflash.....THEY OWN THE !@#$ING TEAM! If I spent $800 million on a football team you can bet your ass the coach is explaining the gameplan to me.
  7. I agree with Kelly. No more warm weather quarterbacks from California. Instead lets draft a system guy with questionable mechanics from a spread offense who's SPENT HIS ENTIRE LIFE IN FLORIDA!! Boggle!
  8. John, could you please stop interjecting reality into our afternoon chicken little dance. We're trying to have a meltdown here.........
  9. Brian Shottenheimer is listed as a candidate for the Bills head coaching job and we get: "WHAT? What has he ever does, his offense sucks, he's too young, he sucks" Schottenhiemer says he's happy where he is and doesn't want to leave and we get: "WHAT? See...the Bills will always suck because we can't get the best coaches" Some of you need to up your meds.
  10. Let's not forget the last two teams they played in the regular season basically rolled over for them yet they played their starters the entire game. San Diego is about to expose the fraud that is the NY Jets.
  11. I'm not sure how much "weight" I'd assign to my comments. More like I'm thinking out loud. What I would assign weight to is a relationship. Buddy Nix has known Marty for much of his adult life. They didn't just know each other, they ate dinner, played golf and hung out together. I think this means it's safe to assume that Buddy would have a very comfortable knowledge of who Brian is. When you look at your own real life relationships who would you go after, someone you don't know or someone you've known most of your life?
  12. My assumption would be that Cowher has already told the Bills that he's not interested. He and the Bills reached a mutual agreement not to confirm or deny anything other than that they met. I'm really starting to believe that the Bills thought their chances of landing Shanny or Cowher were very low so they came up with a plan B that involved Buddy Nix and his connections to the Schottenheimer family.
  13. Could this have been the plan all along? Maybe Buddy figured out early on if Marty didn't want to be a full time HC that his son Brian was the guy he wanted? It's obvious that if Nix and Schottenheimer have been close personal friends then Nix would have known Brian, he's probably known him since he was a kid! Perhaps this whole Shanahan/Cowher thing was a giant ruse. You interview the two biggest names out there, ask them what they would do to fix the team (therein gathering useful insight) and wait for your main guy to be free to interview. I realize this is tying a lot of strings together but it would make sense in light of Cowher's unwillingness to make any statements on the issue.
  14. Where is that baffoon "Ice Cold Brushci"? We haven't seen that fool around here for a few weeks?? Amazing how mediocre the Pats look now that they can tape walkthroughs or practices.
  15. There is no way Cody lasts until the 2nd when we pick. If we could get Bulaga and Cody in the same draft without trading away our picks for the next 2 years it would be the steal of the century.
  16. Really? Both have an old, meddlesome, somewhat crazy owner. The Raiders aren't involved in any "move the Raiders to LA" discussions. The Raiders have actually WON superbowls and been in the playoffs in the last decade All in all, I'd say the Raiders might be ahead of us.
  17. Here's what I don't get: I think it's a long shot for Cowher to come her because of Ralph's reputation. However, until Bill Cowher or the Buffalo Bills say: "I/Bill will not be coaching the Bills next year" then the story is very much alive. I really don't give a **** what forum rumor smacktards say or the "insiders". If they were as inside as they claim, they'd just ****ing call Cowher and get an definitive answer. NO ONE, NO ONE, NO ONE has reported that Bill Cowher has declined the job. Every report is the same nonsense that starts with "a source". Well until BC is the source I'm not convinced. This is the piece that puzzles me the most. If all of the media pundits are confident that Cowher will not be coaching in Buffalo why doesn't Cowher or the Bills just come out and say it? There's absolutely no reason for him not to kill this story UNLESS he is considering coaching in Buffalo. We've got pleeb assistant coaches with other teams confirming that they aren't coaching with us yet the most coveted name refuses to comment either way? CBS goes through and entire pre-game show and makes NO MENTION of the ONLY coaching vacancy in the NFL and the fact that Cowher is a candidate. None of Cowher's co-host even make a joke or reference it? I'm not a detective but something is fishy.
  18. This is priceless, I'm listening to WEEI right now and they're talking about how "Brady looked lost" today. How quickly the turn!
  19. Ironically, Welker doesn't play defense. Even if he's good for 2 td's they're still short. My God, watching the Patriots have to finish out a playoff game in an EMPTY stadium AT HOME has me freaking GIDDY! Blown out biotches!
  20. Raven's need to get their starters out of there. Nothing pisses on the opposition more
  21. God I wish you could tape that for me. There's no sweeter sound than that of the wailing and gnashing of teeth of the chowda hoard.
  22. I really hope on his next 1st down run Rice looks at the defender and screams "YOU !@#$ING SUCK"!
  23. So where is the defensive genius? Where are the innovative schemes to stop the Raven's running game? Where is the greatest coach in the NFL when his team needs him most? Pfft, their run is OVER! The Boston media is going to disembowel each and every part of this team for the next 2 months. It almost brings a tear to my eye
  24. Seriously, is there anything better than watching "the greatest coach in the NFL" look absolutely clueless?
