I think that might have something to do with the fact that that vast majority of the population could care less about hockey. Unless you're a city with an NHL team it's easy to forget that hockey is even a pro sport. The season last 10 months, almost everyone makes the playoffs and the sport translates terribly to TV. It just isn't that important to most of the country.

Cowherd is one of the more intellectual sports guys out there. While I don't always agree with him he's far more thought provoking than a lot of the cheerleader nitwits out there. His analysis of the relationship between sports and society is unique in a world of sports noise. Unfortunately, a lot of sports fans aren't smart enough to understand his show.

What exactly is the fascination with Kevin Kolb? If you look at his career statistics he's done less than Fitzpatrick. I wonder if Philly fans are saying "hey, we should offer Buffalo some picks for the Amish Rifle"!

Twitter is a mecca for narcissistic idiots who need affirmation and attention for everything they do. It's glorious right up to the point that their fans turn on them. As for Whitner, I could care less if he leaves. Can someone remind me the last time "Twhitner " made a play that made any difference. When you're picked eighth you're supposed to be a gamebreaker. Whitner is an average safety who makes 2 plays a season. His salary is better spent elsewhere.

Unless our medical staff thinks his knee is trashed I say we have to take him if he's there. Without the injury the guy is a legitimate top 5 talent. If he comes back from that knee injury he's a complete steal at #34.

Kyle Williams has got to be absolutely giddy right now. With the addition of Dareus he might actually get to take a snap without automatically having to fight through a double team on every play. The addition of Dareus will also improve our LB corps. I've never been the biggest Poz fan but with the upgrades on the OL they might actually be able to attack a gap without having to fight off a free roaming OL on every play.

Dalton and Kaepernick are still there! Bowers? Ayers Paea? Rahim Moore? Kyle Rudolph? I think any of those would be great additions although I don't think they're reaching for QB's with that pick.

I don't know how many of you noticed it in the days leading up to the draft but the Bills had the shadow outline of a player on their website prior to the draft. Looking back, it was almost a shoe in for Darius!

The only thing ranked worse than our offense was our defense. When your constantly down by 20 points everything changes. Still think a rookie QB who doesn't contribute for 2-3 years is a need?

I think that's exactly what Carolina wants everyone to know and believe. Rumors are that Carolina's owner likes and wants Newton but they're not going to turn down a bunch of extra picks if someone is stupid enough to trade up with them. The cost of a trading up to a #1 pick is huge.

No one is telling Schefter anything of any value 24 hours before the draft. Everything you read for the next 11.5 hours is a complete freaking lie.

I was watching some draft coverage last night that was discussing the WR's in this year's draft. As I was watching it I had a distinct memory of Gailey and Nix at a press conference last year saying that they want "big strong" guys on the outside. Green is 220 lbs and is as fast as Lee Evans. It might not be the need pick but it certainly would help the offense. I guess it's going to depend on where they have him rated on the board.

You could have Charles Woodson & Derrell Revis at CB's and it still won't matter if our DL can't get to the QB.

I soooo hope this happens. If Newton/Gabbert go 1-2 then Dareus falls into our lap. If that happens and they don't pick him I'm going to lose my mind.

If the Bills do grab A.J. Green I see two things happening: 1. A lot of other teams are going to be pissed off and disappointed. 2. The Bills have a **** ton of offensive weapons. Fred Jackson, Spiller, Evans, Stevie, Roscoe, Easley et al. That's a whole lot of options to spread the ball around.
