  1. This was an all around professional effort by a focused football team. I couldn't help but notice the players on the sidelines towards the end of the game. There wasn't any laughter, celebration or stupidity, just a bunch of professionals standing there knowing what's still in front of them. Nix and Gailey know what they're doing. It's time we recognized that. Winning a home opener, on the road in KC is a solid indicator of where we're heading.
  2. I was surprised how much he was played lining up as a DE I also noticed that the Bills barely blitzed.
  3. I wonder how they'll try to justify their abject ignorance tomorrow?
  4. Losing Poz wasn't a loss, it was an upgrade. Go watch any of the "highlight" videos from last year. They all show Poz out of position, failing to defend a pass, unable to get off blocks or desperately chasing someone with the ball. Barnett is going to be a much bigger upgrade than anyone realizes. Sap probably likes us because he worked extensively with Dareus before the draft.
  5. I hope the Bills stop the bus on the way so the entire team can get out and take a **** on the logo.
  6. So I just watched a couple of the videos over at Buffalobills.com and every video I've watched since the preseason started shows the same freakin thing. Paul Pozluzny running frantically, desperately to catch someone he should have been in position to stop. Poz might be a great guy but all this little clips and previews have made me realize just how bad he was in pass protection and how often he gets swallowed up by blockers. Improving on that single massive weak spot should have a dramatic impact for us this offseason.
  7. Remind her that the Bills used to be that good.....a long time ago....they just couldn't win the Big game. I'm convinced that if the 1990 Bills were intact today they'd win at least 3 of those 4 SB's
  8. I just sent him the folllowing: "I hope your tweets are better than your column"!
  9. People still read articles in newspapers? How 1990's. Speaking of crumbling, Sully should look at his paper and his pitiful career! LOL
  10. I loved his comment about the "coaches starting to appreciate his speed on the outside"!
  11. Actually, if you want change at WGR calling their program director will just reinforce that you're listening. If you want to make a difference, start calling the companies that advertise on WGR and tell them you won't buy their products or services because of WGR. I promise that if a few thousand people do that, WGR will change their message dramatically.
  12. If you're a professional athlete you had damn well be preparing to win every week and believing you will win ever week. I'm going on record, this team is going to surprise a lot of people!
  13. WHOA!!!! Go back and listen to his comments on Jasper. Nix basically stated that they played games with Jasper during the pre-season so that he wouldn't be too visible. I think he just cat and moused the league into not thinking of this guy as an OL prospect.
  14. Listen to that interview. Really listen to it. Put you hatred or loathing of Buddy aside and listen to the man talk. He KNOWS football, he KNOWS what will make a team successful. He has a plan, he's working the plan. The Bills might not be a playoff team this year but if we keep Buddy and Chan for the next few years, they are ABSOLUTELY capable of building a super bowl worthy team.
  15. Guys, they're in Kansas City. It's a minor !@#$ing miracle that they can even read a forum. They'll find out what kind of a team the Bills have around 4:00pm on Sunday.
  16. Cassell can say anything he wants. I admire his determination but the first time Kyle, Marcel or Merriman puts their shoulder pads into his ribs he's going to cry like a little girl. Broken ribs hurt and he's going to be trying to protect that cracked rib. Dude's gonna be flinching as soon as anyone gets near him. It's the nature of the injury.
  17. Watch this video at 0:50 and look at who is once again 3 steps behind someone in the flat: http://www.buffalobills.com/media-center/videos/Bills-Roundup-Prep-Work-Starting-for-KC/f6bcdf1c-d85b-4c5f-9d1b-2e48ff21fef4 Let's be clear, I like the guy as a person but as a player he was grossly overrated. What you see in that above link is something that happened WAY too often last year. His inability to cover was a HUGE liability. Edit: fixed link
  18. Dusty Zeigler Although he did have an average career.
  19. The purpose of my post wasn't to try and paint the Patriots as a bad team. Clearly, for the last decade they've been light years ahead of the Bills. What I find odd is that they've been successful despite drafting relatively poorly. Bellichick is jizzed on by the media for all his draft trades and pick hording. Yet, as somone on another forum pointed out "Between 2006 and 2008, the New England Patriots drafted 26 players. Of those 26, only 3 are still on the team. 3 out of 26." The Bills have had some stinkers but even they have done better than 3 for 26. Where Belichick does excel is in turning other teams trash into treasure.
  20. Cut me once, shame on you. Cut me twice, shame on me. I guess if you get cut by two teams the verdict is in. It's a damn shame that HBO's Hard Knocks isn't covering the Jets this year. I would LOVE to hear what Ryan had to say about Maybin.
  21. I was reading an article about the Patriots signing Waters and I found this little tidbit at the very end to be fascinating: By releasing Meriweather, who signed with the Bears on Sunday, the team has no remaing players from those drafted in 2007. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d821f4869/article/patriots-agree-to-terms-with-veteran-pro-bowl-g-waters?module=HP11_headline_stack
  22. The guy is 34 years old and has nothing left in the tank. He didn't get cut by KC because he was awesome. Bills fans have the fascination with picking up guys who were great at one time but are completely used up. How does sigining a guy that's got 1 year left in him help us? We aren't contending for the SB this year so one year players don't help us. Much better to let the young guys develop.
  23. It'll be interesting to see the reaction of people worldwide if they ever do find proof of extra terrestrial life. All the creationists will be throwing themselves off of buildings and bridges.
  24. Unfortunately for Aiken, the guys he looked good against were also cut today. Anyone remember our all-world pre-season RB a few years ago. Everyone was amazed with him in the pre-season. What the hell was his name.
