  1. I'd imagine this would be Gailey's reaction upon being told they're bringing in Tim Tebow. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umDr0mPuyQc
  2. Signing Tebow would set this franchise back 5 years. He's a heavier version of Brad Smith with less accuracy.
  3. Because the guy CAN'T THROW A !@#$ING FOOTBALL FROM THE BEACH AND HIT THE OCEAN. Part of being a backup QB requires you to be able to throw a football with slightly more accuracy than the fat drunk guy in Row 3, Seat 5. Tebow is a great guy, a great team player and a running back trying desperately to be a QB.
  4. Maybe Peyton met with Harbaugh and thought "Damn, now I know why Jim Kelly hated this guy".? I thought for sure he'd be going to San Fran. It's gotta be Elway that pushed him over the edge.
  5. Here's something I don't understand. Nelson is listed on the depth chart behind Stevie. I realize he isn't a burner but the guy just gets open, why not move him to the #2 WR or worse, keep him in the slot?
  6. The vast majority of people who are shitting on Kelsay don't know wtf they're looking at or wtf they're talking about. The reality is that something is going to have to happen with Kelsay. He's one of our highest paid defensive players and he plays the same position as our new $50M dollar man. He's not built to play LB but he's a solid DE, can he even play the other side? The other thing working for him is that the coaches love him and he's also a complete team guy. I have no what Wanny's plan is but they can't play him at LB in a 4-3 so I have no idea what becomes of CK.
  7. Holy crap, I hadn't even thought of that. Oh what could have been, can you imagine Mario Williams, Kyle Williams, Marcel Darius & Brain Orakpo. As a starting front 4. That would be nuts.
  8. This has Rob Johnson 2.0 written all over it. Touchdown Jesus in Miami would be awesome for two reasons: 1. It's Tebow's back yard so he'd probably have HUGE fan support 2. It would mean the Dolphins will SUCK again this year and we can pencil in 2 wins. Oh please Miami, sign Tebow if he's cut.
  9. Wade Phillips. I didn't say LeBeau because he wasn't listed as a DC, he was some kind of defensive assistant.
  10. Damn, no one wants to coach or play for the Dolphins!
  11. IF and again I say IF Merriman returns to 90% of "Lights Out" this team and this defense is going to put a whoopin on some teams.
  12. I think Buddy is looking for value at the LT spot but that doesn't mean he won't draft one. If you look at what they did with Pears last year I wouldn't be shocked to see them try and go a similar route. If they look to the draft, which they have been VERY quiet about, Kalil will almost certainly be gone which means they'd likely have to look to Reilly Reiff . I'm just not sure he wants to go with a rookie underclassman at the LT spot. Reiff is big and fairly agile so maybe that's what they've been thinking all along. I think they like Hairston but they're just not comfortable going into the season with just him. I believe they might also be looking at a vet that gets cut. That seems to be Whaley's specialty. I'm really torn on the #10 pick. With the signing of Williams it would seem that DE is off the board. You have to believe that Nix and Gaily are concerned with Merriman's ability to stay healthy and Kelsay isn't getting any younger. There doesn't seem to be a DE on the board at 10 that's worth that pick. Nix said they were out of the WR business in free agency and I'm assuming that he's basing that on the absurd contracts WR's have been getting. Still, they were willing to bring in Meachum so that gives us some insight onto where they think the holes are. That said, I don't have a clue what they're going to do. I wouldn't be shocked to see them draft a WR, CB or LB. If I had to bet my own money, I'd bet on Floyd.
  13. I admit that a starting LT or depth at LT concerns me but I don't see one at #10 that's worthy of that pick. You also have to go back and look at the starting WR's, TE's and OL in week 12. Don't forget, Stevie also played injured the entire second half. The problems we had weren't just because of our LT, the problems we had were increased exponentially because half our team was in the trainers room. What you fail to realize is that it's likely that our QB had a couple of broken ribs for 9 games. That might have something to do with his ability to chuck the ball down field. That doesn't change the fact that Fitz is never going to be a QB that completes a lot of 40-60 yard passes. He doesn't have the arm strength or accuracy to be a consistent deep ball QB. For 6 weeks of the season he was rated the #1 or #2 QB in the league with the offensive line we had. It wasn't until Fletcher almost killed him that he really started to struggle.
  14. Fitz was the least sacked QB in the league last year despite an unbelievable number of injuries and an absurd amount of OL rotation due to those injuries. Fitz doesn't get enough credit for how quickly he makes decisions. I think they like Hairston a lot but I'm sure there's another LT coming via the draft, free agency or cuts. Bell loss is really irrelevant because he was so often injured.
  15. This is what I've been saying. The ability to pressure Brady up the middle changes everything for the Bills defense and Wanny's gameplan. Kyle Williams and Marcel Dareus can push the pocket and the Patriot are going to have to account for Mario Williams. They'll either have to use use two lineman or use an RB or TE to help. That should mean that either Welker or Gronkowski aren't free to run wild. It might also mean that 190lb Wes Welker has to repeatedly step in front of 290lb Mario Williams. The other, and perhaps larger difference is that it should mean we don't have to bring LB's, CB's or safties to bring pressure. That means we can keep 7 players in coverage and disrupt New England's timing. Finally, it means are LB's our free to run because they're not being forced to shed a steady diet of free roaming offensive linemen. Everything changes.
  16. Oh, so this is all about hating Fitzpatrick. Defense wins championships. The Giants, Bears, Ravens and Bucs have all won SB's riding their defense. In the early 90's the Bills had the hands down best offense in football. They went to four consecutive super bowls and got CRUSHED in 3 of them. Let's give Fitz an entire season without broken ribs and with 2 legitimate WR's before we decide if he sucks.
  17. Lloyd will undoubtedly make them better offensively. It makes the Williams signing even more important.
  18. Didn't Williams confirm on via Twitter that the Texan's never made him an offer? If you don't even offer a player an agreement how can you claim you were harmed?
  19. Here's what you need to understand about the Mario Williams signing. 1. Yes, he will put more money in the Bills cash register. Is that a bad thing? Would you prefer the team lose money because their product sucks and no one wants to go to games. The NFL is a business first and foremost. 2. He makes life better for every other member of the defensive line. Williams is a beast and other teams offensive coordinators have to game plan for him. They cannot leave him single blocked. His speed and strength demands either 2 lineman, a TE or RB stay in to help out. That means that you have one less OL to block Kyle Williams or Marcell Darius. Now they have a real problem. Pick your poison. His very presence on the field makes the opposing team change their game plan. 3. Last season the Bills could not put any pressure on the QB with their front 4. They made even mediocre QB's look great. Hell they couldn't put pressure when they sometimes sent 5 or 6. With a legitimate DL, Wanny will have much more freedom to !@#$ with the QB''s head and nervous QB's make mistakes. 4. Our secondary will improve immensely with a decent pass rush. The difference between covering a WR for 4 seconds vs 6 seconds is an eternity in the NFL. 5. Better defense means more 3 and outs for the other team. More three and outs means more touches for the offense and more rest for the defense. It's all good.
  20. Vincent Jackson traveled to Tampa Bay and signed within a couple of hours. That couldn't happen unless there were several conversations prior to Tuesday.
