  1. OMG NOT THAT GUY!. ANYONE BUT THAT GUY! See, I told you. Ralph is cheap, Buddy is asleep...
  2. Fitzgerald is far more entertaining that Fitzgibbons but not nearly as entertaining as Fitzscream. Lighten up dudes, it was intentional.
  3. Let's start with last year: Extended Williams Extended Fitzgerald (yes I know it's Fitzpatrick you humorless monkeys) Re-signed Stevie Re-signed Chandler Signed Mario Williams Signed Mark Anderson Tendered Urbik & Rhinehardt Committed to extending Fred Jackson I'm sure there's a couple more I've forgotten! Now on the eve of the draft the Bills are CONSTANTLY being discussed by all media sources with multiple options and are now rumored to be after the BEST LT in the draft. Folks, this is a team that 3 years ago wouldn't re-sign their best players and didn't want to sign anyone expensive. Holy **** what an offseason! Buddy Nix is THE MAN!
  4. Merriman will play wherever Dave W. wants him to play to be the most effective. Don't get too caught up in where he's listed as a position. If he regains his speed, hell if he can just be as good as he was in the last preseason game, you might seem him in a roll similar to what Biscuit used to do. Line up someplace and wreak havoc.
  5. I heard Buddy had a Wonkavator in his office so it's possible. He could trade sideways and frontways and backways.....
  6. Wes Welker was on ESPN today and he's apparently not participating in the "voluntary" OTA's for the Pats. They talked to him about it and he basically said he'd worked his tail off and deserves a contract. He's not happy being tagged and made that clear. He didn't go so far as to say he would hold out but he sure implied it.
  7. Why I love Buddy: 12:16 Comment From Jeff Is draft day the most "fun" day of the year for you? 2:16 Buddy Nix: Winning on Sunday is the most fun day.
  8. I couldn't agree more. If we can get pressure with our front 4 and force the Pats into a max protect that's a win for us. Every hand off is a mini-win. With our front 4, our LB's should be free to run with reckless abandon. That hasn't happened in over a decade. Anyone remember Sam Cowart? Hell that DL make John Holocek look amazing.
  9. Ders two types of people, doze dat are in da family and doze dat aren't. If yer in da family, youz don't need to worry about wat udder tink!
  10. Someone get Philly Jonas Jennings phone number!
  11. Unless my memory is entirely faulty, didn't the whole issue of who was the #1 RB happened before camp even started?
  12. EGO! It's the same reason Fred Jackson wanted to be listed as the #1 RB.
  13. I'm sure any RB would be clamoring for the chance to go to the Patriots and get 10 carries a game.
  14. I think watching game film of what New England is able to do with Welker makes every team want that type of WR. If Roscoe wasn't so fragile we wouldn't even be having this discussion.
  15. I know I'm getting old but I remember Paup being lined up off of Hansen's shoulder. Am I losing it?
  16. Oh this is going to be a definite popcorn offseason: Antonio Cromartie ‏ @ACromartie Y bring Tebow in when we need to bring in more Weapons for @Mark_Sanchez let's build the team around him. We already signed to 3 year ext.
  17. Mr. Airhorn and "no fat guys" just got dump trucked by the commish!
  18. You can tell Mark Anderson isn't quite as coveted as Mario Williams. The Bills had Mario visit with Jim Kelly. They took Mark Anderson to visit Chuck Lester.
  19. I'm actually starting to warm to this idea on one condition, that he is not brought in to compete for the starting QB position. Love him or hate him as a QB, one thing is undeniable, the guy is dangerous whenever he touches the ball. Far more dangerous than Brad Smith in almost every area. If Gailey/Nix were to bring him in, I think Gailey could use him as the ultimate X factor. You can line the guy up virtually anywhere on the field and find a use for him. The simple reality is that this creates a game planning nightmare for opposing DC's. They spend all week game planning for the chance that Tebow comes in and takes some snaps at QB and runs an option then you bring the guy in and line him up at RB or TE. He's also supposedly a great team guy and would fit well with Buffalo's culture. The flipside is, I don't think there's any chance he'd go anywhere where he couldn't compete for the QB spot.
  20. Nix has addressed the Jackson issue, you're not paying attention. The players that NE is signing are not upgrading their roster. At best, they are players that will maintain the status quo on the offensive side of the ball but they are still behind where they were 2 years ago. Oddly enough, that's not really NE's problem, their problem is that they can't stop anyone yet they seem intent to continue to ignore the defense or fill holes with has-beens. With one signing, Buffalo managed to improve it's entire defense. Not only will life on the defensive line improve for everyone, but the linebackers will be free to run and the secondary won't have to cover guys for 6 seconds. With one signing Buffalo addressed it's most glaring off-season need and created a potential defensive nightmare for everyone they play this year. We now have three defensive linemen that require two offensive lineman or help from a back or TE. That alters the game plan for every team we play. New England will be a lot less intimidating when Gronkowski and Welker are stuck in the backfield trying to keep Marcel, Kyle and Mario from killing Tom Brady. God help them if Merriman returns to form. !@#$ New England. Oh, and one more thing, free agency isn't over, there are cuts to come and we still get to draft so lets not panic just yet. And one more thing, it was just reported this morning that Logan Mankins has a torn ACL. Good luck getting him back back camp.
  21. God gave you clear skies and 70 degrees in March to sign Williams. They guy even put deer in Kelly's back yard. Don't be greedy.
