  1. Stevie also bought all of the Bills a pair of Dr. Dre's Beats headphones today and put them in their lockers!
  2. Will it be: "We're going to the Super Bowl"! or "Oh no, we suck again"!
  3. Cam Newton cares about one thing very deeply...Cam Newton.
  4. Something tells me that if this were a block that Stevie had put on any Jet or NE player we'd all be talking about what an amazing, and legal, block it was. Didn't Drew Bledsoe do they exact same thing a few years ago in a home opener?
  5. Not sure what some of you were looking at but if you watch the video at the point of impact Tate's head is clearly up, he's basically looking into the eyes of Lee. He does spring up but that's because he's exploding into the block. He didn't leap at or launch himself at Lee. IMO, it becomes far worse because of the angles. Tate was at the perfect angle to "de-cleat" him and I don't think Lee ever saw it coming. I have a little experience in this type of hit because I was knocked unconcious during a game in high school on essentially the same type of play. I never saw the guy coming and with those angles I was propelled up and backwards several feet. I woke up on the ground with my coach standing over me saying "are you ok" to which I responded "I don't know, what happened". It didn't hurt that much, I just remember getting jacked up. I'd place this more along the lines of "hitting a defenseless WR".
  6. Years ago, when Kelly was the QB I went to a Bills game and sat in the endzone just a couple of rows up. On one of their possessions the Bills started a drive from about their five yard line. From that angle, even slightly elevated in the stands, you get a full appreciation for what a QB has to go through to throw a pass. Frankly I was amazed that they're ever able to complete one, it's just a mass of bodies, arms and big men.
  7. I think the incident was just after he dropped a 10 yard out. It was the same play that the announcer criticized him for looking back to early at Fitz and tipping off the play.
  8. "You're embarassing your mother"! LOL If they're upset I'd be more than happy to take Dwayne Bowe off your hands!
  9. You can win football games and go very deep into the playoffs being a "run first" team. The Jets have been to two AFC championship games because they run the ball and play great defense.
  10. They already have a nickname, I heard an interview with Eric Wood and they refer to themselves as "The Wolfpack". I have absolutely no idea why???
  11. No one is interested in your objective analysis. No one wants to hear what actually happened on specific plays when you break down the film. We'd much rather be hysterical and read through an endless cacophony of posts telling us just how much Fitz sucks. I implore you to ignore reality and substitute your own next time. We're not happy unless we're miserable! FWIW, I think if you re-watch that throw in the 3rd quarter that bounced to Stevie, it was actually tipped at the LOS.
  12. For a guy who came onto the team with little fanfare he is playing some damn solid football. I just finished watching the 2nd half and focused on the OL. You know what impressed me most about Pears, he's tenacious as hell and he's the first guy to get in the defenses face. There was a play midway through the fourth quarter where CJ was tackles and semi-dragged/slammed to the ground. Pears was the first guy over there. I love seeing that from my OL.
  13. The Patriots weakness this year is their offensive line. Soldner is a poor substitute for Light and it's going to get worse. I think the Ravens are going to put a beating on poor Tom.
  14. Nix was downright indignant when he was asked the question after Glen was drafted. Listen to his interview from the draft coverage archives. I think he starts talking about Glen around 3.45. http://www.buffalobills.com/media-center/videos/Nix_and_Gailey_on_Draft_Day_Two/3e154fab-d556-41df-bb23-4dd852c5d09e "He'll no, he's a tackle"
  15. We currently have CJ, Choice, McIntyre and Dickerson....I disagree. I would love to see t beasts like Cory and Dorin get more carries. Let the secondary tackle them a few times after chasing CJ halfway down the field.
  16. Chan made a couple of interesting comments this morning: "I'd rather control the clock and run the football" Buffalo Bills ‏@buffalobills Gailey on if he marvels at CJ Spiller: "No, because I'm trying to figure out the next way to get him the ball" Buffalo Bills ‏@buffalobills Gailey used to coach the wishbone offense, prefers the run game to the pass game to control clock, etc. but prefers production over all. I've NEVER heard anyone say that Gailey prefers to run over pass but maybe he knew they didn't have the horses in the trenches to run the ball they way he wanted. Now he's got five absolute maulers with two very capable backups. I'd LOVE to see the Bills adopt a Raven's style of game where you play great defense, play smashmouth and throw the ball where necessary. NOTHING will help the passing game better than a dominate running game. Play action passing could be amazing when both Fred and CJ are on the field.
  17. In the Jets/Steelers game they made a TERRIBLE pass interference call and made up for it by not calling the next two blatant pass interferences. The call of the line play, both offensive and defensive has been atrocious.
  18. I'm going to draw a parallel between what Fitz is going and what Tiger Woods went through. And no, I'm not comparing the greatest golfer of the last 20 years with Fitz. This is purely a "mechanics" discussion. When you change mechanics is just doesn't happen overnight, very often there will be regression. Fitz used to just rear back and fire the ball. Some of his mechanics made him less accurate than he should be. Lee comes in and starts changing his footwork, his throwing mechanic etc. So instead of rearing back and firing the ball, Fitz is now thinking about things like where his feet are, where his elbow is etc. You simply can't perform athletically if you're thinking about mechanics. Just look at Tebow and how they tried to change his motion. After thousands of reps, he reverts back to his college motion. Sometimes when making a mechanical change it's difficult to get out of your own way. What I saw yesterday wasn't a QB who was struggling with his throwing, I saw a QB who was almost afraid to throw the ball.
  19. Allen reminds me a lot of Schoebel. He gets all kinds of praise for his sacks but he's a HUGE liability against the run. I'll tell you who else is playing his ass off this season, Chris Kelsay. It doesn't show up on the highlights but he's playing really well.
  20. I'm just curious, for those of you that are saying Mario didn't have a big enough impact I have a question for you. When Kyle and Marcel are getting their sacks, who is in the backfield forcing the QB to step up? He may not be having the visual impact you were hoping for but he's definitely changing the game for the defense. If you aren't willing to acknowledge the plays where he's occupying multiple blockers or the plays where he's being blatantly held then you're being dishonest.
  21. You simply can't judge a player based on just what he does or view their contribution in a vacuuum. If opposing offenses have to deal with him and have to account for him every time he's on the field then he's absolutely having an impact. Every TE or RB that has to chip or block is one less offensive player available to do something else.
  22. There's a lot about football you apparently don't understand.
