    Special teams is a really hard area to judge on a football team just by looking at the rankings. Every team puts a different emphasis on it and some are reluctant to put their best players on ST. Hell for all we know Caldwell might have cut the ST reps in half this year. Besides, last time we were even close to the playoffs Wade had his buddy Ronnie coaching.

    The "Chip Kelly" saga may have more bad information around it then any story in NFL history. He went from "a deal in place" at Cleveland to "going to Philly" to now "going back to Oregon."

    If Steve Spurier and Nick Saban can fail in the NFL, so can Chip Kelly. Pete Carroll failed miserably with two different teams. The transition from college to the NFL is massive and **** that works at the collegiate level doesn't work with paid men who play football for a living.

    THAT is the guy I want for HC. A guy that wants to be here. He's got proven credentials and paired with a good OC he could be fantastic. Actually, I'd be happy with a Lovie for HC and Chan for OC.

    John, After watching Gailey for the last few weeks he seems like a beaten man. Do you see any chance that he just resigns?

    I still believe Gailey can be a solid OC but he can't handle the HC role. Much like Wade Phillips is a great DC but a horrible HC. With a little supervision, and someone to say "Chan, WTF, hand the ball to CJ" I think he can be a solid OC.
